Abstract

This study aims to identify indicators of mental health risk in early childhood through the development of a machine learning-based system and to analyze its implications for education. Mental health in early childhood is a crucial aspect that supports optimal development. Various internal and external factors influence the development of children's mental health. Early detection of risk indicators enables appropriate interventions to prevent more serious problems in the future. This research utilizes data collected from 100 randomly selected PIAUD (Islamic Early Childhood Education) teachers in Gorontalo Province. The K-Means Clustering algorithm is used to group the data and form target variables, while the Decision Tree algorithm is employed for classification. The results show that the Decision Tree model achieves an accuracy of 85% in predicting mental health risks in children. Indicators such as “Withdrawal,” “Easily Angered,” “Weight Change,” and “Eating Problems” are identified as key factors. This prediction system is expected to serve as a helpful tool for teachers and parents in conducting early detection and providing appropriate interventions.

Abstract

This article examines the values of religious moderation within the tradition of Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), which are renowned for consistently embodying the four key indicators of religious moderation. This research-based paper departs from facts in the field using qualitative research analysis with a qualitative descriptive design. Data collection techniques are sourced from observation, interviews, and document review. These values are reflected in daily life, education systems, and teaching practices. Several factors influence the strong connection between moderation and pesantren traditions: (1) the close-knit relationships among community members—leaders, religious teachers, and students—who live together under one roof; (2) the students' obedience to their kyai and teachers, reflecting deep respect and belief in spiritual blessings; (3) a modest lifestyle characterized by simplicity, frugality, carefulness, and communal living; (4) the cultivation of independence in fulfilling duties, responsibilities, and daily needs; (5) a strong sense of togetherness, mutual assistance, and brotherhood.

Abstract

This research focuses on the controversy of women's Friday prayers in Gorontalo which arises from differences in ideological views, worship practices, and dynamics of socio-religious relations. The purpose of this research is to uncover the root of the conflict, explain the causative factors, and examine its social impact through the lens of social philosophy, especially related to power relations, the structure of religious authority, and the formation of religious public spaces. The research methods used are qualitative with theological-normative, sociological, religious, and social philosophy analysis approaches through observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis was carried out inducively through reduction, verification, and data presentation by utilizing the concept of Stuart Hall reception. The results of the study show that there is a diversity of interpretations of QS. al-Jumu'ah verse 9 and hadith related to Friday obligations that result in dominant reception, negotiation, and opposition. These differences affect the configuration of religious power, strengthen gender boundaries in the worship space, and cause disharmony.

Abstract

This quantitative study explores the novel effect of teaching al-Arba'in al-Nawawiyah on character development among MAPK students in Makassar. By employing linear regression analysis on a sample of 92 students, we show that student motivation is the primary predictor of character development, explaining 23% of the variance. The data were collected through a questionnaire. While teaching methods and teacher qualifications were not significant predictors, the findings offer new insights into motivation-driven character formation in Islamic education. This study contributes to the growing body of literature by providing empirical evidence for the role of intrinsic motivation in enhancing moral and social behaviors among secondary school students, particularly in the context of hadith-based learning. Although the regression model used explained 23% of the variation in student character, student motivation was proven to be the main factor in better character formation
