Abstract

The occurrence of pros and cons regarding the law of Tabarruk practice against Habaib requires hadith research on the direction of Tabarruk. Because to know the law requires an in-depth study of the meaning of the hadith text itself. This study aims to provide readers with an understanding of the importance of understanding the text of the Prophet’s Hadith. In addition, they also know the methods used by classical and contemporary scholars in practicing Hadith. This research is field research with a qualitative approach. Gedongsari Islamic Boarding School, the administrators and the students, are the main objects of this research. The primary source for the research theories is the book al-Jami’ ash-Shahih by al-Bukhari. Several works such as al-Mutashaddidun by Ali Jumah Muhammad, Mafahim Yajibu ‘an Tushahhah by Sayyid Muhammad Alawi, al-Mulakhas fi Syarh Kitab at-Tauhid by Fauzan Salih, and Fath al-Majid Syarh Kitab at-Tauhid by Abd Rahman Hasan Alu Syaikh are considered as the minor sources. The Hadith about Tabarruk is a category of valid Hadith that can be used as evidence. Al-Qur’an and hadiths with the same theme also corroborate the Hadith. In practice, the practice of the Tabarruk tradition that has been attached and rooted in the Gedongsari Islamic Boarding School is not all based on hadith encouragement. However, several factors influence these habits. It cannot be separated from this habit from the dogma that the kiais and teachers have taught.

Abstract

Androgynous fashion trends incorporate men’s and women’s clothing elements and are often embraced by individuals who challenge traditional gender norms. This research project aims to explore the reactions of religious individuals to non-binary people wearing androgynous clothing in everyday life. Using a narrative inquiry approach, this research collects interview data to analyze critical issues from the informants’ points of view. Informants were selected through an Outcome-based sampling method from Muslim-majority communities and Islamic college. Examining the responses of community members and students is essential to understand their attitudes toward critical issues better. Research analysis involves two distinct stages. First, it is essential to identify patterns in the data obtained from the two groups of informants based on the derived themes. Second, these patterns must be thoroughly compared with theoretical perspectives to ensure that comprehensive and holistic data is produced. Research indicates that religious individuals and students often share different perspectives regarding non-binary individuals who opt for an androgynous appearance.

Abstract

Depression is a common mental disorder that affects various aspects of life. The increasing prevalence of depression has led to excessive use of medication, which can have negative impacts on the body. Islam emphasizes the significance of Sunnah food, which is scientifically proven to be a natural and harmless remedy for the body. The objective of this article is to examine the nutritional benefits of at-talbinah and to highlight the importance of using diet to manage depression, thereby reducing the use, cost, and side effects of antidepressant medications. The significance of this qualitative study necessitated the systematic collection of comprehensive and detailed data from the six canonical books of hadith, significant books of interpretations, and scientific findings. The study discovered that regular intake of at-talbinah positively impacts mood and depression, as it can rejuvenate and strengthen the heart, as stated in hadiths. This effect is attributed to substances in at-talbinah that can control blood pressure, preventing feelings of depression. Studies concluded that the chemical elements in at-talbinah positively affect the connection between nerve cells, which helps relieve sadness and elevate a sense of satisfaction, relief, and happiness, as mentioned in the hadiths.

Abstract

This paper investigates the new visibility of Salafist da’wah on the new media. The media such as cassette, bulletin, television and the digital made religious material and the agents be more visible in the secularized world. The basic inquiries is how the Salafi agent reforms their visibility in the post Suharto era and how it deals with their Islamism agenda in the media. Alongside that visibility has also revised the secular thesis on the privatization of religion it also marks the resurgence of religion globally. Through analysing the Islamic post in the social media content in Instagram and using a qualitative research (content analysis), this paper sees about the new visibility and rise of fundamentalism and the Salafi preaching in the digital space. This paper also finds that fundamentalism is a radical response to secularism, and modernization which originated from the colonial period. However, currently the fundamentalism is not in antagonistic relation with democratization, they embrace it as a medium to spread their idea widely and to shape their political identity. Indeed, in the “digital space” where any people could voice their ideas and accept limitless information, Salafi’s preachers also modify their preaching to be more casual look, friendly, attractive and inspirational yet the idea is still conservative. Such modification was taken to grabs more audience and to be more visible in the digital space. This research implies that Salafi da’wah was reforming its visibility, especially in the post Suharto era where Islam, politic and technology were intermingled relation.

Abstract

Religious diversity in Indonesia is confronted with two significant challenges. The first is the challenge posed by those who espouse radical or liberalist views, while the second is the refraction of religious pluralism by those who equate its main objectives. Consequently, the presence of religious moderation represents a viable approach to fostering tolerance and harmony between religious communities. The objective of this research is to examine the values of religious moderation in the context of al-Wasathiyyah al-Islamiyyah, with a view to identifying potential solutions. This type of research is a literature review (LR) that analyses and synthesises the strengthening of religious moderation according to al-Wasathiyyah al-Islamiyyah. Accordingly, to buttress this line of inquiry, the researcher has adopted a descriptive-analytical approach, complemented by a religious phenomenology methodology. The findings of this study indicate that al-Wasathiyyah al-Islamiyyah is characterised by a set of prioritised indicators, namely the maintenance of al-Maqashid asy-Syari’ah on religious freedom, unity on the purpose of life, unity on life guidelines, and unity on human diversity. In order to maintain the unity of multicultural Indonesian society, it is necessary to create an atmosphere of justice, peace, harmony and tolerance. This will enrich the inclusive and progressive Islamic discourse in the contemporary era.

Abstract

This paper presents about the values of Al-Qur’an, Pancasila, and Mathematics in the discourse on the theory of interconnection integration undergoing a demystification process. The configuration of the values of Al-Qur’an, Pancasila, and Mathematics through Islamic studies is carried out with a theo-anthropocentric process on the integralist values of Al-Qur’an to Mathematics, giving birth to six models, namely Mathematics for Al-Qur’an, Mathematics from Al-Qur’an, Mathematics to explore Al-Qur’an, Mathematics to deliver Al-Qur’an, Mathematics to explain Al-Qur’an, and Mathematics with Al-Qur’an. In integration, there is an effort to restructure Qur’anic and Mathematical sciences, while in interconnection there are meetings in the format of complementation, comparison, confirmation, and the contribution of the verses of Al-Qur’an to the five precepts of Pancasila.
