Jurnal Minds: Manajemen Ide dan Inspirasi is a scientific and open-access journal (CC-BY clearance), published by the Management Department of the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business, Universitas Islam Negeri Alauddin Makassar, Indonesia. It is a bi-annual publication, i.e., by June and December. It has been accredited in the Indonesian Official Journal Indexation SINTA 2 by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education under the Directorate Generale of Research Enhancement and Development No. 200/M/KPT/2020 and is valid up to December 2024. Jurnal Minds: Manajemen Ide dan Inspirasi welcomes high-quality articles in English form discussing the myriad of management science and business-case application (with robust analysis only), e.g., human resource, marketing, finance, operational research, entrepreneurship, business ethics, strategy, and so forth. This journal advances the conversations in developing and underdeveloped regions with the potential intersections of religion, cultural uniqueness, and demographic interplay. How the ideas and inspiration are being generated in these specific circumstances are also part of this journal's interest. All articles are subject to double-blind peer reviews should the article pass the initial editorial screening. This publication also accepts quantitative and qualitative articles with rigorous methodology and analysis. We expect the submission to this journal to enhance knowledge by supplying the academic/practical world with fresh insight and substantial contributions to management science. Abstract

The expansion of AI directly affects productivity levels, particularly for content creators, as it alters many aspects of work. This study investigates the impact of AI utilization and content quality on marketing team productivity. A purposive sampling technique employed in this quantitative research distributed an online questionnaire to 200 respondents (content marketing creators). The data is analyzed using structural equation modelling (SEM) with SMART-PLS 4. AI improves content quality and marketing team productivity, whereas content quality boosts productivity. However, AI directly affects team performance. AI is essential for content marketing quality and efficiency. The data used in this study were exclusively derived from questionnaires, which may be subject to limitations due to the subjectivity of respondents or bias in their responses. However, this study can be a foundation for companies and content creators to improve audience personalization and enhance productivity through AI.

Abstract

The public sector is often associated with complex bureaucratic standards and procedures. This research presents a systematic literature review of psychological empowerment (PE) in the public sector to enhance employee performance, well-being, and a conducive work environment. To the best of our knowledge, no prior systematic literature review has focused exclusively on the factors influencing PE in the public sector. Following PRISMA guidelines, data were collected from articles indexed in Scopus, Taylor & Francis, Sage Journals, and ScienceDirect between 2019 and 2024. The initial search of this article generated 2.643 articles, yet only 37 fulfilled the criteria. The findings indicate that PE was affected by leadership, organizational, work, and personal factors. The reviewed also underscores the roles of mediating and moderating variables related to PE. Understanding PE is increasingly critical in light of ongoing governance reforms, rising demands for public service accountability, and the need for innovation in bureaucratic system.

Abstract

This study investigates how CEO financial literacy influences technological innovation in Indonesian MSMEs, with risk-taking and management control systems (MCS) as sequential mediators. The key contribution lies in advancing a dual-path mediation model that links individual financial competence to organizational innovation in emerging market contexts. Using PLS-SEM on data from 113 MSME CEOs across Java, findings reveal that CEO financial literacy directly promotes innovation, while risk-taking alone does not mediate this effect. However, MCS significantly mediates the relationship, and both variables jointly form a significant sequential path. These results highlight the importance of CEO financial literacy not only as a strategic resource but as a driver of internal capability development. For managers and policymakers, the findings emphasize that financial literacy must be paired with robust internal control systems to accelerate innovation and long-term competitiveness in MSMEs.

Abstract

This study investigates the transformation of employee performance within Indonesia’s immigration sector, focusing on the Riau Islands Province, Indonesia. It examines how transformational leadership, organizational culture, and innovation interact within bureaucratic settings to inform evolving models of public-sector performance. A mixed-method Sequential Explanatory Design is employed, integrating structural equation modelling (LISREL; n = 247) with qualitative analysis via NVivo 12 Plus. Results reveal that transformational leadership and digital innovation exert a significant positive influence on employee performance, while motivational and trust-related factors enhance service effectiveness. These findings contribute to the evolving discourse on leadership and performance in high-stakes bureaucratic contexts, particularly within border governance. The study underscores the critical role of leadership in driving adaptive capabilities and cultural alignment within complex government institutions. For policy makers and public-sector managers, the results offer actionable insight into developing more responsive, accountable, and innovation-ready immigration services in peripheral and strategic regions.

Abstract

The employment participation gap between persons with and without disabilities in Indonesia remains pronounced, with structural and social barriers limiting equal access to decent work. This study contributes to the literature by providing robust empirical evidence on the role of job training in enhancing both overall labor force participation and formal sector employment among persons with disabilities. Drawing on nationally representative 2021 SAKERNAS data and applying logistic regression models, the analysis reveals that training significantly increases the likelihood of employment, particularly in the formal sector where social protection and job stability are more prevalent. Beyond training, the study highlights how education, gender, regional location, household characteristics, and disability type influence labor outcomes, underscoring the need for multidimensional interventions. These findings suggest that inclusive and targeted training programs, integrated with broader employment and disability policies, are essential to foster equitable labor market inclusion in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study explores the influence of Memorable Tourism Experience (MTE) dimensions on tourists’ revisit intention in West Sumatra. While MTE is widely acknowledged in tourism literature, limited studies have empirically disentangled which subdimensions—such as hedonism, novelty, local culture, refreshment, meaningfulness, involvement, and knowledge—are truly consequential in the regional tourism context. Employing an explanatory, cross-sectional design with a purposive sample of 143 respondents, data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results reveal that only hedonism, local culture, and meaningfulness significantly affect revisit intention. Novelty, refreshment, involvement, and knowledge showed no measurable impact. These findings challenge assumptions that all MTE elements equally drive loyalty, highlighting a more selective emotional-cognitive mechanism in tourist behavior. Practically, local tourism authorities should prioritize emotionally resonant and culturally grounded experiences to strengthen destination appeal and policy alignment with national tourism development goals.

Abstract

Recruitment decisions are rarely the outcome of purely rational judgment; they are shaped by social pressures, emotional reactions, and cognitive distortions. By examining these dynamics, this study adds precision to our understanding of how decision-making unfolds within human resource management. Drawing on survey data from 401 young HR managers in Indonesia and analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM), the study investigates the influence of cognitive bias and social influence on recruitment decisions, with emotion as a mediator. The findings reveal that cognitive bias does not directly determine recruitment outcomes but shapes emotion, which in turn has a modest effect. Social influence emerges as the dominant driver, exerting both direct and emotion-mediated effects on decisions. These results demonstrate that recruitment is a socially embedded and emotionally mediated process. For managers, the implication is clear: recruitment systems must regulate social pressures and emotional spillovers to ensure fairness and effectiveness.

Abstract

Green marketing has intensified as cosmetic companies compete to project environmentally responsible identities, yet converting awareness into actual purchase remains uneven. This study examines the influence of environmental attitude, green brand image, and green perceived value on green purchase intention, drawing on survey data from 150 Body Shop consumers in Indonesia and analyzed with SEM-PLS. Results show that environmental attitude does not significantly predict intention, while both green brand image and green perceived value exert positive effects. These findings indicate that credible brand signals and tangible value perceptions act as more immediate drivers of intention than generalized attitudes, refining how the attitude–behavior gap is understood in sustainable consumption. The study contributes by highlighting the primacy of image and value in shaping intention and provides managerial implications for firms to emphasize credible positioning and consumer value rather than relying solely on environmental appeals to stimulate sustainable purchasing.

Abstract

This study develops an integrative behavioral framework to examine how digital financial literacy (DFL) influences financial decision-making among digital-native cohorts. The analysis extends existing behavioral models by incorporating risk tolerance and fintech trust as mechanisms shaping investment, consumption, and saving choices. Using a mixed-method design with 500 survey responses and 30 interviews, the study shows that DFL alters decision patterns in ways mediated by both confidence and caution. A paradox emerges: high trust in fintech often coexists with weak awareness of digital risks, underscoring tensions between literacy and reliance. The findings highlight that financial institutions and policymakers must balance accessibility and innovation with safeguards that foster prudent behavior in digitally native populations.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of electronic word-of-mouth (e-WOM) on information adoption and purchase intentions in mobile learning (M-learning) applications. By extending the Information Adoption Model (IAM) to an educational technology context, it contributes theoretically to understanding how digital peer communication shapes technology uptake. A survey of 345 Iranian young adults reveals that e-WOM significantly affects adoption decisions, with perceived usefulness emerging as a central driver of purchase intentions. The findings underscore the dual role of positive and negative user reviews in shaping app reputation and credibility. Beyond its contextual focus on Iran, where app usage is restricted, the study advances research on e-WOM dynamics in digital learning ecosystems of developing countries. The results provide practical insights for marketers, developers, and educational institutions seeking to leverage user-generated content to enhance trust, strengthen credibility, and foster wider acceptance of M-learning solutions.
