Abstract

This study explores the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and ChatGPT into Islamic Religious Education (PAI) as a response to the demands of 21st century learning. Using a qualitative library research approach, data were gathered from books, journal articles, and other scholarly sources, and analyzed through descriptive and interpretive methods. The findings show that AI, particularly ChatGPT, can strengthen students’ understanding of Qur’an, Hadith, Fiqh, and Akhlak, while also promoting greater engagement, motivation, and critical thinking. The adaptive and interactive nature of AI encourages active participation, supports personalized learning, and facilitates the internalization of Islamic values when guided by educators. These results suggest that AI-based media have considerable potential to enhance the quality of PAI instruction by bridging technological innovation with value-based education. The study concludes that AI can serve as an effective and innovative complement to traditional teaching methods, offering both pedagogical benefits and practical insights for the advancement of Islamic education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the content of the 10th grade Nahwu Sharaf book published by KSKK Kemenag in 2020 with the analysis of Rusydi Ahmad Thu'aimah as an Arabic language learning expert. Nahwu sharaf is Arabic grammar lessons which include morphology and syntax. Content analysis includes 4 aspects, namely analysis of book content, material preparation, material presentation, and book output display. The research method used is Krippendorff's content analysis method with a qualitative approach. The research step consists of unitizing, the researcher determines the unit of analysis in the form of phrases, namely book analysis and the perspective of Rusydi Ahmad Thu'aimah. The next step is sampling, namely the entire contents of the book. Third is coding, called coding because in this process researchers group data based on research categories including book content, material structuring, material presentation, and output in the form of printed books. Fourth is reducing by selecting data to find important data only. Next is inferring, which is drawing conclusions by connecting the data findings. The last is narrating or compiling a research report. Findings reveal that the textbook aligns well with the curriculum and employs an inductive approach which makes it easier to deepen the grammar material, but it has weaknesses such limited illustrative visuals and gradation of materials. The study concludes that This textbook has good quality in presenting the material but needs to improve several supporting aspects as mentioned. This research can contribute to improving the quality of textbooks in the future.

Abstract

The application of learning models and media that are less varied causes boredom and makes students less interested in learning. In this case, the researcher examines the application of the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model based on Padlet media as an alternative for maharah kitabah learning. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the application of the Think Talk Write (TTW) model can increase students' interest and motivation in learning the Arabic maharah kitabah subject and how students respond when the Think Talk Write model based on Padlet media is applied to maharah kitabah learning. The type of research used is pre-experimental designs research with a one shot case study design. It is said to be pre-experimental because this design is not yet a real experiment. This study involved one class, namely the experimental class, which used the think Talk Write (TTW) model based on Padlet media in learning Arabic. The research sample consisted of 25 students. Data collection was carried out by observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The instruments used in the study were pre-test and post-test. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in student interest and motivation as evidenced by the pre-test and post-test scores in the experimental class, where the pre-test score was 47.57 and the post-test score was 85.62. In addition, it was proven by the results of the t-test which showed that the significance value was less than 0.005 so that it can be stated that there is an influence of the Think Talk Write (TTW) model based on Padlet media on Arabic language learning materials, especially on the Maharah Kitabah.

Abstract

Evaluation is one of the essential components in the learning process. It aims to obtain accurate information regarding students' achievements based on predetermined indicators. To facilitate the implementation of evaluation for teachers, an assessment tool that is accurate, efficient, and interactive is required. However, the evaluation tools commonly used are still conventional in nature, making the process appear monotonous and often causing students to feel bored and less engaged. As a result, student participation in the evaluation process tends to be low. To address this issue, the researcher aims to develop and describe the feasibility of an Arabic language learning evaluation media based on the Wordwall platform for fifth-grade students at MIN 1 Malang City. The research employed a Research and Development (RD) approach using the ADDIE model. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires, and were analyzed both qualitatively and quantitatively. The research findings indicate that the Wordwall-based evaluation media is highly valid, with validation scores of 84% from media experts, 93% from material experts, and 100% from the classroom teacher. Student responses were also highly positive, with an interest level of 100%. Therefore, this media is considered feasible and engaging for use in Arabic language learning evaluation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Total Physical Response (TPR) method in improving Arabic vocabulary acquisition among students with special needs at MI Hayatul Islamiyah Malang. Using a quantitative method with a one-group experimental design (pre-test and post-test), this study measured changes in vocabulary acquisition before and after the implementation of TPR. The results showed a significant increase in students' vocabulary scores after the implementation of the TPR method. The p-value of 0.00 is smaller than 0.05, so Ha can be accepted and H0 is rejected. This shows that there is a significant increase in students' comprehension after the implementation of the TPR method. Before the treatment, the mean score of the students' pre-test was 55, and after the treatment, the mean score of the post-test increased to 83.75. This shows that the TPR method is effective in improving students' vocabulary comprehension, so that their ability to understand new vocabulary increases significantly. This study concludes that the TPR method is effective in improving Arabic vocabulary acquisition, which has the potential to support the academic and social development of students with special needs, and emphasizes the importance of an inclusive and student-centered approach to education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the contribution of the Islamic Religious Education Empowered Teachers in improving students' learning abilities at SMP Negeri 1 Garut, Indonesia. Using a phenomenological qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with one Islamic Religious Education teacher and five students. The findings of the study show that the teacher plays an important role in creating a religious and supportive school environment through various spiritual programs, such as Dhuha prayers, routine Qur'an recitation, and congregational Zuhur prayers. Additionally, the teacher introduced an innovative environmental initiative, the "school waste collection movement," which encourages students to bring home at least one piece of trash every day to foster a sense of responsibility for environmental cleanliness. The teaching strategy applied reflects a holistic approach that assesses students' knowledge, attitudes, and skills, while also involving collaboration with other Islamic Religious Education teachers and the wider school community. Despite facing internal challenges, such as maintaining motivation and emotional stability, as well as external challenges such as low learning motivation and limited basic skills among students, the teacher is able to overcome these obstacles through reflective, empathetic, and collaborative approaches. This study concludes that the teacher's diverse contributions not only improve the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning but also support the overall development of students, demonstrating that religious education can have a broader impact on character development and environmental awareness.

Abstract

This study investigates the role of the language environment in developing speaking skills among students at Hidayatullah Batu Institute, using Albert Bandura’s behavioral theory as a framework. The research was conducted to explore how creating a supportive and motivating Arabic language environment in a non-Arabic speaking context like Indonesia can enhance students’ oral language proficiency through modeling, positive reinforcement, and social interaction. A qualitative case study methodology was applied. Data were collected via direct observations, structured interviews with twelve key informants including the institute’s director, teachers, and students, as well as institutional documents. Data were collected over a four-week period through repeated observation and semi-structured interviews, The analysis followed Miles and Huberman’s model, involving data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. Triangulation was used to increase the credibility of the findings. Results show that the institute effectively establishes an immersive Arabic language environment that encourages daily language use both inside and outside the classroom. Students improve their speaking skills by observing and imitating proficient language models such as teachers and peers. Positive reinforcement through praise and symbolic rewards motivates students to participate actively. Planned linguistic activities like daily conversations, educational drama, and language games help reduce speaking anxiety and build fluency. The study also found significant progress in pronunciation, sentence construction, and a reduction of interference from students’ native languages. These combined behavioral approaches and diverse activities create a natural, confident, and sustainable improvement in students’ speaking abilities.
