Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of Learning Management System (LMS) media developed using Google Sites for teaching Optical Instrument material to Class XI students at SMAS Istiqlal Delitua. The study focuses on the development of an LMS to enhance students' learning interest. The subjects of this research were 29 students from Class XI IPA 1. The research adopted the ADDIE model for development. The results revealed that the LMS is highly feasible as a learning medium. Assessments by material and media experts yielded average feasibility scores of 93.3% and 91.2%, respectively, both categorized as "Very Good." Student and teacher responses to the Google Sites-based LMS demonstrated a high level of practicality and interest, with an average response score of 91.5%, classified as "Very Practical/Interesting." The effectiveness test, based on pretest and posttest comparisons, indicated significant improvement in students' learning outcomes. The t-test result showed an Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000 (0.05), confirming a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores. The average N-Gain score was 0.62, categorized as "Effective." In conclusion, the Google Sites-based LMS is valid, practical, and effective, significantly enhancing students' understanding and interest in learning Optical Instrument material.

Abstract

E-module is an electronic teaching material resulting from the development of technology and information to help the learning process in schools so that students can learn independently with guidance from teachers at school or independently at home. This study aims to develop an E-module based on the SSI Team Base Project and test the feasibility of the E-module development product. R D research using the ADDIE development model. The results of this study indicate that: 1) the e-module for environmental change based on a team based project integrated with socio scientific issues (ssi) has an average value from the media expert validator of 94% while the average value from the material expert validator is 97% Very feasible category. 2) The results of student and teacher responses have an average percentage value of 93.21% in the Good category. 3) Comparison of the results of the pretest and posttest of students in a limited scale test on 34 students, it is known that the average pretest is 64.58, and the average posttest value is 86.35. In general, the e-module that has been developed meets the criteria of being very feasible and very practical so that the e-module product can be used as a reference for critical thinking skills at SMA Negeri 2 Kota Ternate.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that there are still many students who have low politeness ethics, so this can be overcome through the classroom teacher's strategy in shaping politeness ethics education. Politeness ethics education is an effort to educate children to make wise decisions and practice them in everyday life. The purpose of this research is to find out the classroom teacher's strategy in shaping the ethics of courtesy of madrasah ibtidaiyah students in facing sustainability in education. The method used is a qualitative method with a case study approach through interviews with grade 3 teachers, grade 3 students, parents of grade 3 students, and interview documentation about the formation of students' independent personal character. The results of the research obtained are that the classroom teacher's strategy in shaping politeness ethics at school for third-grade students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-I'Tishaam Pondok Cabe South Tangerang is by getting students used to doing habits that can form independent personal character, such as morning dhikr, saying greetings when entering class, salim to teachers, and speaking kindly and politely to teachers and peers.

Abstract

This research aims to streamline the PjBL model physics e-module assisted by Google Sites which is suitable for use for physics learning and determine the effectiveness of the PjBL model physics e-module assisted by Google Sites. Google Sites is a service owned by the Google site that facilitates its users so they can have a website easily and practically. Using Google Sites for students will make it easier for students to access teaching materials and will not need to use up smartphone memory capacity. With this convenience, lecture material can be in the form of learning links that students can access. Apart from that, students can access it anywhere and at any time so that it can be used to study independently according to lecture needs. This research is Research and Development research with a 4D model which includes 4 stages, namely the define, design, develop and disseminate stages. The results of the research show that the PjBL model e-module assisted by Google Sites in learning the history of physics is effectively used in learning to increase student learning independence.

Abstract

Model pembelajaran Project based learning (PJBL) merupakan sebuah model pembelajaran diarahkan untuk memecahkan permasalahan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Sedangkan pendekatan STEAM merupakan kolaborasi yang serasi dari empat disiplin ilmu Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics yang ada dalam suatu pembelajaran berkaitan dengan penyelesaian masalah di kehidupan nyata. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran PJBL berpendekatan STEAM terhadap hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik kelas X1 dan X4 pada materi inovasi teknologi biologi di SMAN 1 Halmahera Barat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah Quasy Eksperimental. Desain Quasy Eksperimental yang digunakan adalah (Randomized Group Pretes-Posttest Design), pada desain ini kelas eksperimen dengan pembelajaran Biologi yang menggunakan model pembelajaran PjBL berpendekatan STEAM dan pengruhnya terhadap hasil belajar kognitif. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMAN 1 Halmahera Barat pada bulan Oktober sampai November 2024 pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Populasi dalam peneitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X1 dan kelas X4, dengan jumlah  pada masing-masing kelas adalah 41 orang, maka sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah sampel populasi yang berjumlah 82 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dimana guru menyusun modul ajar, LKPD, soal preeteset dan postest, kemudian sebelum pembelajaran dimulai guru memberikan soal preetest untuk dikerjakan oleh peserta didik pada kelas X1 dan X4. Setelah itu guru mengajarkan materi inovasi biologi teknologi dengan menggunakan model PJBL berpendekatan STEAM pada kelas X1 dan pada kelas X4 guru mengajarkan materi yang sama dengan menggunakan model PJBL saja. Kemudian guru memberikan soal postest untuk dikerjakan peserta didik. Hasil preetest dan posttest ini kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji normalitas data, uji homogenitas dan uji hipotesis, hasil analisis disajikan dalam bentuk tabel dan grafik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran PJBL berpendekatan STEAM berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar kognitif Peserta Didik SMAN 1 Halmahera Barat pada materi inovasi teknologi biologi, dengan nilai signifikansi (Sig.) 0.010 lebih kecil dari α=0.05.

Abstract

One of the teaching materials that can be used as a reference for students is an e-module based on Environmental Exploration (JAS) integrated problem solving. E-module based on Environmental Exploration (JAS) integrated Problem Solving is a learning media that can be used to support the learning process. The Environmental Exploration (JAS)-based e-module integrated with problem-solving makes it easier for students to solve problems in biodiversity material, which is closely related to the surrounding environment. This research aims to analyze the validation of the JAS-based integrated problem-solving e-module in class X biodiversity material. Based on the content validity results calculated using a Likert scale, validity data was obtained from 7 material experts and media experts, namely biology lecturers and biology teachers. The validation test in this study used five assessment criteria, namely, very good (SB), good (B), fair (C), poor (KB), and very poor (SKB). The material expert validation instrument obtained 90 categorized as very good, and the media expert obtained 88, categorized as very good.

Abstract

This research aims to address the lack of optimal use of learning media in science education (IPA) at SDN Pranan 01, where teachers rely solely on reading materials as the primary source of learning. This limitation hinders the students' learning experience and interest in the subject. To overcome this issue, a more creative and innovative approach is necessary, specifically through the use of a herbarium integrated with Big Book media. The objective of this study is to examine the effectiveness of using a herbarium combined with Big Book in improving students' interest and learning outcomes in science education. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, consisting of four stages: planning, implementing the action, observing and evaluating, and reflecting. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in both student interest and learning outcomes. In the first cycle, the average index of learning interest was 59.01%, with 73% of students achieving mastery in their learning outcomes. In the second cycle, the average learning interest index increased to 65.47%, with 93% of students reaching the desired level of mastery. The findings suggest that the use of herbarium and Big Book media effectively enhances student engagement and performance in science learning. It is concluded that integrating creative learning media, such as herbarium with Big Book, can positively impact students' interest and academic achievement.

Abstract

The utilization of digital learning media in the digital era is very important in order to motivate the Digital Native Generation. This study aims to determine the level of utilization of digital-based learning media in elementary schools in Ternate City. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative with survey approach. The instruments used were questionnaires and interviews, the sample consisted of 141 teachers representing four sub-districts namely North Ternate, Central Ternate, South Ternate and West Ternate. The results showed that the utilization of digital learning media is still low. Most teachers teach using non-digital media such as textbooks, learning modules and teaching aids. Meanwhile, to evaluate learning teachers prefer to use educational games and written tests. This is due to limited technology facilities, limited application of digital learning media (e.g. laptop, infocus), student readiness, and teacher digital literacy being the main obstacles. In order for digital media integration to be well implemented, schools need to improve digital facilities in schools and digital literacy training for teachers to maximize digital media integration in learning.

Abstract

The research aims to investigate the students' perspectives, benefits, and challenges throughout the delivery of the entrepreneurship course. A qualitative approach employing a descriptive design. It was carried out English education master's program at UNM. A total of thirteen English students from the academic years 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 as respondents. Data gathered through document analysis, questionnaires, and in-depth interviews. Data examines first, questionnaire analysis using Likert scales. Both the document and the in-depth interviews ware analysed outlined by Gay et al. (2009), which involves reading/memorising, describing, and classifying. The results indicate that the entrepreneurship programme at UNM is of exceptional quality, characterised by a strong vision and widespread impact. All participants hold a favourable opinion regarding the integration of entrepreneurship courses in the EFL classroom. This course align with the educational requirements of the 21st century. The entrepreneurial course positively influence the competence, skills, motivation, and mindset of respondents towards entrepreneurs, as well as enhance their English proficiency and skills. Nevertheless, certain limitations persist in the realm of entrepreneurial learning, including the execution of the online learner model, theoretical content, physical resources, and limited time periods for learning, all of which hinder its effectiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the forms of semantic errors contained in the descriptive text essays of grade V A students at SD 1 Sidorekso. The subjects of this research are students of class V A at SD 1 Sidorekso. The object of this research is semantic language errors in the description text essays of grade V A students at SD 1 Sidorekso. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique is done by documentation, using reading techniques and note-taking techniques. The data analysis method used is pairing by using techniques in the form of referential and again by using the replaced technique. The data analysis technique used is the Miles & Huberman analysis technique, namely, data collection, data reduction, data presentation/display, and verification/conclusion drawing. The results showed that there were semantic errors in the description texts of grade V A students at SD 1 Sidorekso, which included ambiguity, pleonasm, diction, and hypercorrection.
