Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of nearpod-based interactive media on student learning outcomes on excretory system material for class XI SMAN 8 Pontianak. This study used a Quasi-Experimental method with a Pre-test Post-test Control Group Design. The average post-test for the experimental class is 79.29, which is higher than the control class, which is 72.06. Data on learning outcomes were analyzed using the Independent Sample t-test and obtained 0.001 <0.05 so that there is differences in learning outcomes between the experimental and control classes. The effect size value is 0.76 in the high category and contributes 27.64% to learning, so it can be concluded that nearpod-based interactive media affects learning outcomes. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify learner errors in problem-solving within the mathematics course, particularly in the subtopic of integration, based on Newman's Error Analysis (NEA). The subjects of this research were 14 first-year learners from the Physics Education Department at Musamus University, Merauke. The research method employed in this study is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The instruments used in this research were tests and interviews. The test questions were used to measure the errors made by learners according to Newman's framework. Furthermore, four subjects were selected as participants for interviews to analyze the difficulties encountered while solving problems that led to learner errors. The results of this study revealed the presence of comprehension errors, transformation errors, process errors, and encoding errors when learners solved problems related to the subtopic of integration

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to develop STEM-based teaching modules for primary 4 students that are integrated with the Pancasila Student Profile. This research was conducted according to developmental research (R&D) procedures. The modules were developed based on the needs of teachers and students obtained through observation, interviews, and a diagnostic test to students. The validation from experts on the modules showed very good categories for each material, layout and graphics aspect. Moreover, the modules developed are considered very practical to teachers in class, while students’ responses for the learning using the modules are very positive. Hence, the students' learning achievements are very satisfactory.

Abstract

Higher education as icon of scientists has three duties, education/teaching, research and community engagements that must be carried out by lecturers even though in the covid-19 pandemic, lecturers are required to remain creative and productive in their work, writing scientific papers as a form of implementing the three duties of higher education. This condition is not an obstacle for lecturers to remain productive in their work, lecturers can research and community engagements through online data collection and then arrange it to scientific writing published in national/international journal. Teaching, learning and writing from virtual space to the real works.

Abstract

The study explores the nuances of students' knowledge, self-assurance, and difficulties when navigating the domains of numeracy and logical-mathematical reasoning by evaluating and comparing the levels of mathematical literacy, numeracy, and logical-mathematical thinking among higher-education students. This research uses a thorough survey covering various mathematical literacy dimensions, such as the capacity to apply mathematical ideas in practical contexts, comprehension of numeracy and literacy, assurance when working with numerical data, and the influence of emotional variables on rational thought. Our analysis, based on replies from graduate and undergraduate students at renowned Indonesian universities, shows that self-assessed competency is generally moderate to good, with significant differences between academic subjects and study levels. The research indicates a potential relationship between curriculum focus and mathematical literacy since some students from specific programs have a marginally more significant skill level. The results highlight how crucial it is to incorporate real-world applications and emotional intelligence into mathematical education to improve student confidence, comprehension, and engagement. This study offers important insights into the state of mathematical literacy today. It suggests possible areas for curriculum development and pedagogical innovation to better prepare our future professionals for the demands of a digital and data-driven world as we map out the future of educational strategies in higher education.

Abstract

The SETS (Science, Environment, Technology, and Society) model science with environmental, technological and societal issues to enhance critical thinking, motivation, and concept application. This study examines its role in character formation and motivation towards achieving SDGs in SMP Negeri 2 Negara. Using a qualitative FAQ technique, it found 5 of 6 teachers actively use the SETS model, while one applies its principles unknowingly. This study highlight SETS’s potential in fostering global issue-based learning, environmental awareness, and social responsibility, encouraging broader adoption in education to advance SDGs achievement.
