Abstract

This study examines the correlation between active participation in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) courses and student behavior at Singaperbangsa University in Karawang. The background of this study is based on the importance of character building and positive student behavior in higher education amidst the challenges of the digital era and rapid social change, as well as the role of PAI in the process. The formulation of this research problem is to examine whether there is a positive correlation between students' activeness in attending PAI courses and their behavior. This study used a quantitative approach with survey method and correlational design, involving 81 undergraduate management students of Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang who took PAI courses. Data were collected through a questionnaire that measured their participation in PAI courses and various aspects of student behavior. The results of the analysis showed a strong and statistically significant positive relationship between active participation in PAI courses and student behavior (r = 0.605, p 0.01). This finding indicates that students who are more active in PAI courses tend to exhibit more positive behaviors. This article contributes to the theoretical understanding of the effectiveness of PAI in shaping student behavior, and provides practical implications for curriculum developers and PAI lecturers to improve the quality of learning to foster positive behavior in students.

Abstract

Peranan orang tua merupakan kegiatan inti dalam sebuah pembiasaan kegiatan pendidikan di rumah. Peranan orang tua dilihat dari aspek nilai-nilai pendidikan agama islam yang tercermin dalam tingkah prilaku, akhlakul karmah dan keimanan kepada Allah SWT. Pada saat pandemi covid-19 saat ini, orang tua kan berperan ekstra karena semua pembelajaran di sekolah menjadi di rumahkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Peranan orang tua dalam penerapan nilai-nilai pendidikan agama islam (2) Bentuk peranan orang tua dalam penerapan nilai-nilai pendidikan agama islam. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa peranan orang tua dalam penerapan nilai-nilai pendidikan agama islam masih ditemukan bahwa banyak orang tua yang belum paham betuk peranannya terhadap pendidikan anak, juga dalam penerapan nilai-nilai pendidikan agama islam terhadap anaknya. Abstract

Multikulturalisme menjadi ruang lingkup dan objek utama dalam toleransi. Dewasa ini, Indonesia sebagai negara yang multikultural dihadapkan pada disharmoni sosial yang tinggi. Kasus intoleransi di Indonesia berada pada tingkat yang mengkhawatirkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana sikap toleransi dapat di tanamkan pada lingkungan masyarakat multikultural berdasarkan perpektif tafsir al-azhar karya Abdulmalik Abdulkarim Amrullah (Hamka). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kepustakaan (library research), penelitian kepustakaan (library research) merupakan suatu penelitian yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan informasi dan data dengan bantuan berbagai macam material yang ada di perpustakaan seperti buku, majalah, artikel, kisah-kisah sejarah, berita, dan sebagainya. Sumber data dari penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder. Dimana penelitian ini berdasarkan al-qur’an sebagai huddan linnas yang memiliki ratusan ayat terkait sikap toleransi sehingga Abdulmalik Abdulkarim Amrullah (Hamka) seorang mufasir nusantara memiliki perhatian yang lebih terhadap sikap intoleransi yang ada di negara ini. Kemudian beliau mengkaji ayat-ayat tersebut sebagai solusi membentuk lingkungan damai dan tentram di tengah masyarakat yang multikultural melalui sikap toleransi berdasarkan al quran. Hasil dari penelitian ini bahwa sikap yang harus di tanamkan yaitu sikap saling menghargai dan menghormati, saling mengasihi dan menyayangi, menjunjung tinggi perdamaian dan adil terhadap sesama.

Abstract

The increasingly alarming global environmental crisis, accompanied by the complexity of ecological problems at the local level, demands innovation in educational practices, including in the context of Islamic Religious Education, in order to internalize ecological awareness based on spiritual values and religious ethics. This study aims to analyze the integration of ecotheological values into the PAI curriculum with the perspective of Green Islamic Education in secondary schools in Karawang Regency. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis, with source and method triangulation techniques to ensure data validity. The results showed that the integration of ecotheological values has been carried out through three main approaches, namely strengthening students' spiritual awareness of nature as a manifestation of God's power (ayat kauniyah), applying ecological ethics in learning and school activities, and developing real environmental-based actions such as greening programs, waste management, and community-based projects. Nevertheless, the integration has not been fully optimized because it still faces obstacles such as limited resources, lack of teacher training, and policy support that has not been maximized. This research emphasizes the importance of strengthening the capacity of PAI teachers, developing an adaptive curriculum, and supporting sustainability-based education policies. Thus, this research not only enriches the study of Islamic education and ecology, but also provides a conceptual and practical basis for the development of contextual, visionary, and sustainability-oriented PAI curriculum. This contribution emphasizes the significance of the role of Islamic education in forming a religious generation that has ecological awareness, environmental ethics, and a real commitment to the preservation of the earth as God's mandate.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Dynamic Halal Social Capital-based Islamic Education learning model in fostering digital ethics among university students. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design conducted on undergraduate students of the Islamic Education Study Program at the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Singaperbangsa University, Karawang. Data were obtained from in-depth interviews with students and lecturers, observations of the learning process in the classroom, analysis of learning administration documents, and supported by questionnaire data to reinforce field findings. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify learning patterns, forms of Dynamic Halal Social Capital integration, and their implications for the formation of students' digital ethics. The results showed that the Dynamic Halal Social Capital-based Islamic Education learning model, which integrates beliefs, Islamic norms, and academic social networks, is capable of fostering students' digital ethics through three main orientations, namely digital academic, religious, and digital social. This model is implemented through a participatory, reflective, and contextual learning approach, so that digital ethics is understood as a moral, social, and spiritual responsibility. This study provides a conceptual contribution by offering a framework for an Islamic Education learning model based on halal social capital, as well as an empirical contribution to the development of Islamic Education learning that is adaptive and relevant to the ethical challenges of the digital age.

Abstract

This article examines the use of gadgets as a source of information literacy for eighth-grade students in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) classes at SMP Islam Telukjambe Barat in Karawang Regency. The article employs a qualitative approach. The research subjects were eighth-grade students, PAI teachers, and the school principal. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive method, which consists of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that students utilize gadgets as a source of information literacy regarding PAI learning, although they are still often distracted by digital entertainment. Students’ ability to evaluate and select religious information using gadgets is moderate. That is, some students can distinguish relevant and appropriate information for PAI learning, but they are not yet fully critical in assessing the credibility of sources. The availability of devices, school internet access, and teacher guidance serve as supporting factors. Meanwhile, social media distractions, a lack of supervision, and low religious digital literacy act as inhibiting factors. Artikel ini bertujuan mengkaji pemanfaatan Gadget sebagai sumber literasi informasi siswa kelas VIII dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) Islam Telukjambe Barat Kabupaten Karawang. Artikel menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII, guru PAI, dan Kepala Sekolah. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis dengan metode interaktif Miles dan Huberman yang terdiri dari reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Gadget dimanfaatkan siswa sebagai sumber literasi informasi tentang pembelajaran PAI, meskipun masih sering terdistraksi oleh hiburan digital. Kemampuan siswa dalam mengevaluasi dan memilih informasi keagamaan melalui Gadget berada pada tingkat sedang. Yaitu sebagian siswa mampu membedakan informasi yang relevan dan sesuai dengan pembelajaran PAI, tetapi belum sepenuhnya kritis dalam menilai kredibilitas sumber. Ketersediaan perangkat, akses internet sekolah, dan arahan guru menjadi faktor pendukung. Sedangkan distraksi media sosial, kurangnya pengawasan, dan rendahnya literasi digital keagamaan menjadi faktor penghambat. Kata Kunci :  Gadget; Pembelajaran PAI; Pendidikan Agama Islam; Teknologi Pendidikan.

Abstract

This research identifies a significant gap between the taught values of Islamic Educational Philosophy and students' reflective internalization in daily behavior within Islamic elementary schools. Despite the consistent implementation of Islamic educational practices, the internalization process of core values, namely Tawhid (oneness of God), Adab (etiquette/morality), and Amanah (trustworthiness), has not yet fully reached the stage of deep reflection or behavioral consistency outside the school environment. Using a qualitative design with an interpretative phenomenological approach, this study explores the lived experiences of principals, Islamic Education (PAI) teachers, classroom teachers, students, and parents across several Islamic elementary schools in Karawang. Data were gathered through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentary studies. Analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, utilizing triangulation of sources, techniques, and time, alongside participant validation. The findings reveal that while Islamic educational values are integrated into the curriculum and school culture, their internalization requires three strategic components: (1) A reflective learning approach that transcends mere habituation; (2) Authentic moral modeling from educators; and (3) Synergetic collaboration between schools, families, and the community as a supporting ecosystem. The contribution of this research is the development of an operational framework for internalizing Islamic educational philosophy that integrates theological dimensions, reflective pedagogy, and environmental support, moving beyond ritualistic habituation. These findings are relevant for the development of value-based character education policies at the primary level in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic Education Philosophy in shaping the self-concept of undergraduate students in Islamic Religious Education at Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study method, this research explores students' understanding of key concepts in Islamic Education Philosophy and how this understanding influences their professional and personal identities. Findings indicate that students possess varying levels of comprehension; however, Islamic Education Philosophy significantly contributes to the formation of their self-concept, fostering a sense of responsibility, integrity, and a holistic view of knowledge. Factors such as the quality of lecturer instruction, curriculum relevance, and students' intrinsic motivation are identified as crucial elements influencing this process. The practical implications of this study suggest the need to strengthen pedagogical methods and enhance the integration of philosophical principles within the curriculum, while also encouraging students to actively internalize these values. This study contributes to the theoretical understanding of the relationship between religious philosophy and the development of professional identity in the field of education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis strategi manajemen pendidikan berbasis Ahlussunnah wal Jama‘ah (Aswaja) dalam pembentukan habitus keislaman santri di Pondok Pesantren Yatim Nahdlatul Ulama Karawang. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan rancangan studi kasus sosiologi pendidikan Islam. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan studi dokumentasi terhadap kegiatan dan kebijakan pesantren. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembentukan habitus keislaman santri dilakukan melalui empat strategi utama: (1) penyusunan kurikulum yang menanamkan nilai Aswaja, (2) pembiasaan ibadah dan akhlak dalam kehidupan asrama, (3) keteladanan kiai sebagai figur moral dan simbol otoritas spiritual, serta (4) inovasi manajemen yang adaptif terhadap perkembangan sosial. Nilai-nilai Aswaja seperti tawassuth (moderat), tawazun (seimbang), i‘tidal (adil), dan tasamuh (toleran) menjadi dasar dalam setiap kebijakan dan praktik pendidikan. Strategi ini terbukti efektif dalam menanamkan karakter religius yang kontekstual, moderat, dan berkelanjutan di tengah perubahan sosial masyarakat.
