Abstract

Indonesia, with its diversity of coffee types and abundant production potential, has a great opportunity to dominate the world coffee market. Through data analysis of coffee consumption, global production, and import duty tariffs, this study shows that these three factors have a significant influence on Indonesia's coffee export volume. The high coffee consumption in destination countries is a great opportunity for Indonesia. However, to achieve market dominance, it is necessary to improve coffee bean quality, production capacity, and strengthen trade cooperation. This study shows that Indonesia needs to make several strategic efforts. First, improving the quality of coffee beans is essential. This can be achieved through the application of appropriate cultivation technology, good post-harvest processing, and quality certification. Second, increasing production capacity is also key. By increasing plantation area, productivity, and production efficiency, Indonesia can meet the growing market demand. Third, strengthening trade cooperation with destination countries is necessary. Through free trade agreements or trade preferences, Indonesia can improve market access and competitiveness of its coffee products. The results of this study provide important implications for the government, business actors, and coffee farmers. The government needs to provide greater support to the coffee sector, such as providing infrastructure, developing research and technology, and facilitating market access. Business actors need to continue to innovate and diversify their products to meet the increasingly diverse market needs. Meanwhile, coffee farmers need to improve their knowledge and skills in coffee cultivation and adapt to climate change.

Abstract

There is little empirical understanding of how the credibility of ESG disclosures is related with investor-level determinants that influence the decision-making, performance, and sustainability impacts of Islamic investors. The present study examines the effects of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) integration, financial literacy, and religious commitment on the investor decision, investment performance, and investment sustainability in an Islamic finance framework. It brings to the fore the intermediating role of trust in ESG disclosure, a critical psychological mechanism in investment behavior that has hitherto not been sufficiently studied in Islamic markets. The study was conducted using a descriptive-quantitative and cross-sectional approach, where 350 individual investors of Shariah-compliant instruments from Indonesia were surveyed through purposive sampling and the data analysis was done using the Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. Results reveal that ESG integration has a significant positive effect on both decision-making and performance. Financial literacy indirectly promotes trust in ESG disclosures, but has no direct effect on decision-making and performance. Trust was found to be a key mediator between ESG and literacy on one hand and behavioural and performance outcomes on the other. Religious commitment strengthens the impact of ESG and trust on performance and sustainability, and acts as a moderating factor that bridges the gap between ethical considerations and financial decisions. Relationships are stable, and robustness checks indicate low sensitivity; the findings urge regulators to enhance ESG disclosure quality and institutions to align their practices with Islamic moral values.

Abstract

The research aims to analyze the effect of social media marketing, electronic word of mouth (EWOM), and lifestyle on purchasing decisions for MSME products sold online. This study uses a type of quantitative research with a sample of 127 student respondents in the city of Tangerang. The hypothesis is tested using structural equation modeling. Data processing uses the SEM method with SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results of the study show that electronic word of mouth (EWOM) and Lifestyle all influence the purchasing decisions of MSME products. Meanwhile, social media marketing has no positive or significant effect on purchasing decision variables. This study contributes to the existing literature by providing empirical evidence about the effect of electronic word of mouth (EWOM) and lifestyle on purchasing decisions. The results of this study also provide evidence that student consumers are more rational and unaffected by social media marketing in making purchasing decisions. The results of this study can also be used by MSME management to attract potential market share in the student segment.

Abstract

Background: Few reading communities have developed systematic literacy tourism models centering local narratives. Purpose: This study designs and validates a culturally embedded literacy tourism model at Pabukon Ngadongeng Reading Community, Sumedang. Methods: Using design thinking methodology (empathize, definition, ideation, prototyping, testing), data were collected through ethnographic observations, interviews, and focus group discussions. The prototype featured a 90-minute narrative route incorporating Sundanese storytelling (Nini Anteh), traditional games (paciwitciwit lutung, oray-orayan), and reflective discussions. Results: Results demonstrate measurable multi-dimensional impacts. Educationally, children exhibited significantly enhanced narrative comprehension when stories were delivered orally versus textually, with sustained active participation throughout sessions. The integration of folklore with traditional games created embodied learning experiences that improved reading retention and contextual understanding. Socially, the model fostered intergenerational dialogue among local storytellers, volunteers, children, and parents, strengthening community cohesion. Post-implementation, multiple schools independently contacted the reading community requesting program replication, indicating strong social demand and perceived value. Culturally, participants demonstrated deepened emotional connections to Sundanese heritage, with Nini Anteh eliciting particularly strong responses regarding loyalty and familial bonds. Children expressed heightened pride in regional identity and increased engagement with local cultural narratives. Digital documentation through Instagram and integration with the Sumedang Reading Community Forum website extended program reach beyond physical sessions, creating accessible archives for broader literacy networks. Conclusion: The study concludes that participatory, culturally oriented literacy programs transform local knowledge into transferable educational frameworks. Limitations include single-location implementation and analog process constraints. Implications: Theoretically, this demonstrates that modularity frameworks can resolve authenticity-scalability tensions in cultural tourism. Practically, the model provides a replicable blueprint for reading communities, with policy implications for Perpustakaan Nasional Republik Indonesia literacy strategies and UNESCO Memory of the World heritage preservation. Future research should explore multi-site validation and hybrid analog-digital models.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the performance and prospects of Indonesian shrimp exports in the international market during the 2019-2014 period. The quantitative methods used are the trade performance index (TPI), revealed comparative advantage (RCA), and constant market share (CMS). The results of this study reveal that the performance of Indonesian shrimp exports experienced very positive growth. The increasing export volume indicates the resilience and solid growth of the Indonesian shrimp sector amidst global market dynamics. Indonesia has a comparative advantage in shrimp exports, although still lagging behind India and Vietnam, this position indicates that Indonesian shrimp remains competitive in the global market. The study also found that competitiveness, product quality and certification, regulatory support, and export performance simultaneously influence the future prospects of Indonesian shrimp exports.
