Abstract

The purpose of this study was to see how the instructional communication process in vocational learning in SMK 1 Kota Bengkulu. This type of research is qualitative research with a tradition of symbolic interactionism. So, with this method the researcher obtains a description of the research based on the experience of the subject itself. Data collection techniques used were observation and in-depth interviews. The data analysis technique uses qualitative data analysis. The results of this study are instructional communication applied in teaching vocational students is verbal and non verbal communication. Verbal communication in the form of simple words. Non-verbal communication is carried out in the form of body movements. In addition, interpersonal communication was also found. Conclusion, the instructional communication process applied in teaching vocational students at SMKN 1 Kota Bengkulu is verbal and non verbal communication. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of visionary leadership in transformative educational management and identify strategies for improving the quality and relevance of education at State Islamic Religious Universities (PTKIN), with a focus on UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. The research method used was a qualitative case study approach. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, followed by thematic analysis. The results indicate that visionary leadership plays a key role in educational transformation through the implementation of strategic policies that include digitalization of academic services, human resource development, curriculum internationalization, strengthening of quality assurance systems, and multi-stakeholder collaboration. These strategies have resulted in improved educational quality, as evidenced by the increased quality of scientific publications, research culture, study program accreditation, and the effectiveness of academic services. Furthermore, educational relevance has been enhanced through the development of an Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum, the integration of Islamic values ​​with global competencies, student entrepreneurship programs, and strengthening partnerships with the business world, industry, and international institutions. The conclusion of this study indicates that visionary leadership is a key factor in realizing transformative educational management that can sustainably improve the quality and relevance of PTKIN education, making it more adaptive to global challenges without neglecting Islamic identity and values.   Keywords: Educational Digitalization, Visionary Leadership, Transformative Educational Management, Educational Quality

Abstract

This community service initiative addresses the low technical skills in catfish breeding, external seed dependence, and weak business management among breeders in Padang Serai, Bengkulu. The program aims to empower partners as active subjects through catfish breeding training utilizing the Asset Based Community Development approach to enhance economic independence. The implementation method adopts five participatory ABCD stages, encompassing discovery, dream, design, define/destiny, plus monitoring and evaluation. Activities ran intensively for one and a half months, focusing on broodstock selection, controlled spawning, larva care, and water quality management using tarpaulin ponds. Service results demonstrate significant improvement in participant technical competency, establishment of independent business groups, and healthy seed production that reduces external supply reliance. Extreme weather challenges affecting water turbidity and unstructured financial recording habits remain crucial notes for future improvement. Overall, integrating local asset empowerment with participatory mentoring effectively transforms communities from passive objects into independent, sustainable catfish seed producers. These findings confirm that the ABCD approach remains highly relevant for micro and small enterprise scales. Future recommendations include water filtration, marketing digitalization, and financial literacy training. Continuous mentoring ensures appropriate technology adaptation and partner household income stability. Such interventions guarantee long-term sustainability and regional competitiveness for rural aquaculture sectors.
