Abstract

Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) is an management approach that pursues to integrate environmental perspective into conventional human resource activities. This approach is characterized by a systematic and scheduled synchronization with the organization’s environmental priorities, which is viewed as providing a balanced perspective that aligns employees with the organization’s environmental policy. Introducing, enforcing, and embracing systemic changes among employees is one of the most important GHRM objectives, as green-based activities are frequently difficult to implement. GHRM practices serve a crucial role in the context of organizational sustainable development in achieving sustainability objectives. Prior research has evaluated GHRM as a unidimensional or second-order construct consisting of three or four dimensions. However, the current study extends previous research by identifying six categories of GHRM practices and empirically evaluating the impact of each of these elements on corporate sustainability. The study collected data from 347 HR directors working in Indonesian organizations and analyzed the data using SmartPLS 3.2.8. The findings revealed that three out of the six GHRM activities were significantly related to organizational sustainability performance. The study offers theoretical and practical implications for potential researchers and HR managers, particularly in the Indonesian context.

Abstract

Our study investigates the role of Green human resource management (GHRM) practices on the individual environmental performance of employees (IEP) as well as the mediating role of perceived organizational support (POS) in the health sector in Indonesia. Data was collected using a questionnaire that was shared with 310 nurses working in Indonesian as respondents. SmartPLS 3 software is used to analyze data by adopting the PLS-SEM approach. The research findings reveal a strong and positive relationship between the dimensions of GHRM practices such as Green Employee Involvement (GEI),  Green Management Performance (GMP), and Green Training (GT) on the individual environmental performance of employees in Indonesia's health sector. Furthermore, we also found an indirect effect of GHRM practices on employees' environmental performance through perceived environmental support from the organization company. Based on our study, we suggest Institutions and organizations in Indonesia's health sector concern implement GHRM practices to improve their employees' individual environmental performance. Specifically, our study extends the previous literature by exploring the relationship of GHRM practices with individual environmental performance using perceived organizational support (POS) as a mediating variable.

Abstract

PT Bukit Asam Tarahan Port Unit has machines and tools that are used to assist its activities and of course indirectly support its productivity, one of these machines is the Rotary Car Dumper (RCD) 3. The Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method can identify bottlenecks in a tool or machines used in the company. Using the Six Big Losses method in this research can determine what factors make the biggest contribution resulting in the low effectiveness of using the RCD 3 machine at PT Bukit Asam Tbk Tarahan Port unit. After the losses value is obtained, the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) implemented will then be analyzed and whether MRO has an effect on these losses. Based on research that has been conducted, the OEE value of the RCD 3 machine is 6%, with an average value of availability of 52%, performance of 12% and quality of 100%. The highest six big losses values were obtained from set up and adjustment losses and reduced speed losses, where the two losses obtained an average value of 46%. PT Bukit Asam Tarahan Harbor Unit has implemented planned maintenance such as preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance during the observation period from January 2021 to December 2021.

Abstract

Dynamic Bread Factory has suffered a very significant failure to reach the production target by finding a large number of defective products so that the use of materials becomes inefficient and also often the breakdown of the processing machine which affects the quantity of the final product becomes unoptimal. The study aims to analyze the index of productivity value on the production part of the Dynamic Bread Factory, identify factors causing the fluctuation of the production index and provide suggestions for improvements that can affect the increase in productiveness. OMAX methods and fishbone diagrams to measure and analyze productivity indices. The data processing results showed that the index varied, with the highest index in November increasing by 215.48% while the lowest in October experienced a significant decline of 73.50%. Five productivity ratios that have been measured indicate that ratio 1 and ratio 2 have the lower yields that are the cause of low productivities in the Dynamic Bread Factory.

Abstract

Indonesia is reducing reliance on fossil fuels by expanding renewable energy, including biomass from rubber-plantation residues and acacia wood. This study evaluates briquettes made from rubber seed shell (RSS) and acacia sawdust (AWS) using 10% tapioca binder, a compaction pressure of 50 kgf cm⁻², and drying at 100 °C for 3 h. Three compositions (RSS:AWS, %wt) were tested: A (50:50), B (70:30), and C (80:20). The best performance was obtained for C (80:20), with moisture 7.40%, volatile matter 9.56%, ash 4.47%, fixed carbon 85.95%, HHV 6,716.88 cal g⁻¹ (28.10 MJ kg⁻¹), and burn rate 0.10 g min⁻¹. All compositions satisfied SNI 01-6235-2000 limits for HHV (≥ 5,000 cal g⁻¹), VM (≤ 15%), and ash (≤ 8%); the moisture criterion (≤ 8%) was met by B and C. For context, SNI 1683:2021 (wood charcoal, not briquettes) imposes stricter thresholds; under these, C is closest to First-Quality ranges, while A and B fall short for several parameters. Overall, increasing the RSS (char) fraction produced briquettes with lower moisture and VM, higher fixed carbon and HHV, and steadier combustion suitable for household fuel.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Skinimalism has gained visibility as a beauty trend promoting fewer products, fewer routine steps, and deliberate essentials. This study maps how skinimalism is narrated in Instagram hashtag posts using qualitative netnographic observation and descriptive content analysis. Forty caption entries were purposively sampled from the #skinimalism feed; after removing near-duplicates, 36 unique captions were analyzed. Captions were predominantly in English (63.9%), followed by Indonesian (25.0%) and other languages (11.1%), with #skinimalism appearing explicitly in 80.6% of captions. Dominant narrative categories comprised trend definition or education (30.6%), product promotion (27.8%), and routine guidance (22.2%). Nonexclusive thematic coding revealed routine simplification as the most prevalent element (66.7%), followed by natural look aesthetics (33.3%), while multifunctionality or hybrid product framing was relatively limited (11.1%). Actor cues were identifiable in many posts, including brands or commercial accounts (22.2%), creators or educators (19.4%), clinics or experts (11.1%), and individual users (8.3%), although 38.9% could not be clearly classified. Engagement assessed from visible comment excerpts (n = 40) indicated limited discourse, with half of the posts showing no comments and the remainder dominated by emotive or transactional responses. This limited engagement does not necessarily signal weak consumer interest but reflects Instagram’s role in stabilizing trend narratives through curated, authored content. Overall, the hashtag feed functions as a structured narrative field that reinforces skinimalism through procedural templates and marketing-aligned messaging rather than extended peer deliberation.

Abstract

The spot welding process using robotic systems is associated with a high risk of failure, including spot weld release, spatter, missed welds, unavailable weld spots, missing brackets, porous welds, double welds, incorrect weld positions, and sliding joint parts. This study aims to enhance risk assessment in spot welding by integrating fuzzy logic inference with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to overcome the limitations of conventional FMEA in handling uncertainty and ambiguity. The proposed model incorporates fuzzy representations of severity, occurrence, and detection parameters to calculate the Fuzzy Risk Priority Number (FRPN) through three stages: fuzzification, fuzzy inference, and defuzzification. A case study was conducted in the spot welding process of automotive body components in Karawang, using real process data and expert validation. The results show that FRPN values range from 3.95 to 6.38, with the highest risks identified in spot weld release (FRPN = 6.38) and incorrect weld position (FRPN = 6.29), indicating that these failure modes are the top priorities for corrective actions. Furthermore, the fuzzy FMEA approach provides better discrimination of risk levels compared to conventional FMEA, particularly in differentiating failure modes with similar RPN values, thereby improving the accuracy and reliability of risk prioritization.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of leadership style, organizational culture, and interpersonal relationships on employee performance at the Department of Public Works for Human Settlements, Spatial Planning, and Irrigation in Musi Rawas Regency. Furthermore, this research investigates the mediating role of organizational culture in the relationship between leadership style and interpersonal relationships with employee performance. The research applies a Mixed Method Research (MMR) approach, with data analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS version 3. A total of 62 employees participated by completing a structured questionnaire. The findings reveal that both leadership style and interpersonal relationships have a positive and significant impact on organizational culture and employee performance. However, organizational culture does not significantly affect performance, nor does it mediate the relationship between the independent variables and performance. These results provide valuable practical implications for institutions seeking to improve employee performance by strengthening leadership practices and fostering positive workplace relationships.
