Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of rehabilitation policies for people with mental disorders (ODGJ) at the Indocharis Foundation. Through in-depth interviews and non-participant observation, this study analyzes to what extent national policies are reflected in the rehabilitation practices carried out by the foundation. The results of the study show that the Indocharis Foundation has implemented various comprehensive rehabilitation programs, including medical therapy, non-medical therapy, vocational training, and social integration support. These programs are in line with the mandate of the Republic of Indonesia Minister of Health Regulation Number 54 of 2017. In addition, the foundation is also active in efforts to reduce stigma through socialization and education to the community. However, there are still several areas that need to be improved, such as expanding cooperation with companies to open up job opportunities for clients, and increasing the intensity of home visits to monitor clients' conditions on an ongoing basis. This study concludes that the rehabilitation policy at the Indocharis Foundation has been running well, but there needs to be continuous efforts to improve the quality of services and expand the scope of the program.

Abstract

The research on community-based ecotourism in Batu Jongjong Village, Langkat Regency, explores its potential, inspired by rich natural and cultural resources. Located in Gunung Leuser National Park, the village benefits from biodiversity. Aimed at enhancing local welfare through sustainable ecotourism, the study stresses community participation and collaboration among stakeholders. Sustainability concepts, including resource protection, are crucial for long-term contributions. The unique aspect lies in empowering locals and ensuring shared responsibility for resource preservation. Batu Jong Jong Village, despite its potential, requires improvements in accessibility, management, and services for competitiveness. Challenges necessitate collaborative efforts, while opportunities lie in sustainable development, emphasizing economic, social, and environmental benefits. Designated as a tourist village, Batu Jong Jong holds promise for eco-tourism, utilizing its natural resources. Despite obstacles, the village's fertile soil and community involvement present a foundation for sustainable tourism, contributing to its long-term success.

Abstract

Timbang Jaya Village has the potential for extraordinary tourist attractions including natural tourism, culinary tourism and local cultural tourism supported by attractions, accommodation and other facilities. Therefore, this study aims to analyze community participation in the development of Timbang Jaya Tourism Village. This research uses a qualitative approach by involving the active participation of local communities, village government, and Pokdarwis. The results of this study show that community participation in the development of Timbang Jaya Tourism Village has a positive impact in several aspects. However, this study also identified several obstacles that local communities still face, such as the lack of financial resources channeled to the community, and the fragmentation of land from each individual or company. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the government move quickly in channeling funds to the community and assisting in the problems faced by the community, as well as strengthening cooperation between various related parties to achieve more effective goals.

Abstract

The Swastika Karya Abadi Micro Business Unit (UMK), focusing on basic food trade in West Kalimantan, has been running for 5 years with conventional marketing. However, the product marketing method used by partners is still relatively passive because they only wait for buyers to come to the sales location. This article details community service activities carried out to improve understanding and skills in marketing products through digital media. The service activities carried out target the UMK Swastika's basic understanding of product marketing and introducing promotional strategies through digital media, as well as increasing partners' insight in carrying out graphic designs for products. The training was carried out by providing the team, preparing the place and tools, socializing the material and evaluating using pre-test and post-test questionnaires. The material provided in the training is online marketing strategies using Facebook social media and the use of the Adobe Photoshop graphics application. Service activities proceed with successful planning and preparation stages with team members who understand their duties. The training carried out is also effective in increasing partners' understanding of digital marketing strategies. This can be seen from the results of the pre-test and post-test surveys carried out which show that partners are starting to be confident in designing graphic designs for their own products. Apart from that, socialization of online marketing strategies is also going well because partners have also succeeded in using paid advertising on Facebook to market their products. In other words, this service activity succeeded in increasing the understanding and digital marketing skills of UMK Swastika to support their business growth.

Abstract

Background: Pendidikan karakter merupakan metode pendidikan yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sifat-sifat yang diperlukan untuk menumbuhkan karakter moral yang kuat. Pendidikan karakter dipandang sebagai nilai yang krusial untuk ditanamkan pada anak usia dini. Tujuan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini adalah membentuk karakter anak melalui dongeng dalam pembelajaran di sekolah. Metode: Kegiatan pelatihan ini dilakukan pada 22 Januari – 26 Januari 2024 yang diikuti oleh 23 orang siswa dan 4 orang guru dari TK Lab School FIP – UMJ melalui tiga tahap. Pertama, tahap perencanaan yaitu tim pelaksana berkoordinasi dengan pihak sekolah untuk menentukan jadwal kegiatan. Selain itu, tim PkM menyiapkan seluruh materi dan modul yang diperlukan untuk presentasi. Kedua adalah pelaksanaan kegiatan oleh tim PkM bekerjasama dengan guru TK Lab School FIP - UMJ. Tahap ketiga adalah evaluasi. Evaluasi dilakukan oleh tim PkM melalui serangkaian pertanyaan yang ditujukan kepada para guru. Hasil: Terdapat 77 persen peserta aktif mengikuti PkM ini. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan banyaknya jumlah dan semangat individu yang terlibat dalam PkM ini. Kesimpulan: Pemanfaatan dongeng mempunyai kapasitas untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca dan membentuk anak-anak di TK Lab School FIP – UMJ.

Abstract

This Phenomenon provides opportunities to utilize the internet and social media in various business sectors, including marketing activities that are usually carried out in the tourism industry. This study was conducted to formulate a digital media management strategy in tourism marketing by local governments. This study was conducted in the city of Medan, where local officials have attempted to utilize various digital media platforms in tourism marketing. Unfortunately, tourists are less enthusiastic about visiting events and tourist attractions in this city. Therefore, it is necessary to reanalyze the existing conditions by formulating new strategies for digital tourism marketing by the Medan City Tourism Office. This study was conducted using PEST analysis, Porter’s Diamond Model, Value Chain Analysis, SWOT Analysis, and Balanced Scorecard. The results identified 8, 16, 13, and 4 categories of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The SWOT analysis results place digital media tourism marketing in quadrant III. The conclusion from the results and discussion is that strategy mapping and measurement using the Balanced Scorecard categorizes 13 alternative strategies into 4 perspectives, namely financial, customer, business process, and growth and learning. The novelty of this research is that the growth and learning perspective produces two alternative strategies, namely conducting market analysis and designing target profiles for each platform
