Abstract

In the rapidly evolving and highly competitive landscape of the hospital industry, analysing the strategic competitive position of the hospital is crucial in the process of strategic planning. This research evaluates the strategic competitive positions of 11 publicly listed hospital companies by performing a dynamic portfolio analysis starting in the 2020-2023 period, representing the most recent developments in the hospital sector in Indonesia. This research employs the BCG matrix technique, drawing on data related to the actual throughput of the hospital industry. This technique enables quantitative comparisons at the micro-level regarding hospitals' growth rates and market shares. The dynamic portfolio analysis findings indicated that Siloam Hospitals, Hermina Hospitals, and Mitra Keluarga Hospitals are well-performing companies with good positions in the industry. However, the results also revealed that some companies exhibited a negative trend in growth rate in terms of their competitive positions. By exploring a topic that has received limited attention from researchers, this research will contribute to the academic literature in defining the market structure of the hospital industry in Indonesia.

Abstract

Kinerja karyawan yang tinggi dapat dicapai jika setiap elemen dalam organisasi terintegrasi dengan baik dan mampu menjalankan perannya. Dalam penelitian ini, elemen mengacu pada variabel kepemimpinan. Hasil survei pendahuluan menunjukkan bahwa kinerja karyawan belum optimal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepemimpinan dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan perbankan di Sulawesi Tenggara. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah survei deskriptif dan survei penjelasan. Alat uji hipotesis menggunakan Structural Equation Model (SEM), sedangkan pengolahan data dilakukan dengan program LISREL 8.72 (Linier Structural Relationship). Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan dan motivasi kerja berpengaruh signifikan, baik secara parsial maupun simultan, terhadap kinerja karyawan. Ini berarti bahwa jika implementasi kepemimpinan organisasi dan motivasi kerja lebih baik, maka pencapaian kinerja pegawai perbankan di Sulawesi Tenggara akan lebih optimal.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of halal supply chain management and product innovation on micro business performance with halal certification as a mediating variable. The background of this study is based on the low performance of micro businesses, lack of product innovation, and minimal halal certification in Bandung City, although Bandung City has great potential in developing the halal industry. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach with data collection through questionnaires on 260 micro business actors in the halal food and beverage sector in Bandung City, which were analyzed using PLS-SEM with path analysis methods to test direct and indirect relationships between variables. The results of the study indicate that halal supply chain management has a significant effect on halal certification, but Halal Supply Chain Management does not have a significant direct effect on Micro Business Performance. Meanwhile, product innovation does not have a significant effect on business performance and halal certification. Halal Certification is proven to have a significant effect on Micro Business Performance. Halal certification is proven to mediate the relationship between halal supply chain management and business performance, but does not mediate the effect of product innovation on business performance. These findings provide implications for business actors and the government in formulating strategies to increase the competitiveness of halal micro businesses by strengthening supply chain management and facilitating halal certification.

Abstract

Penataan rute antara Bandar Udara Internasional Husein Sastranegara Bandung dengan Bandara BIJB Kertajati tidak langsung berdampak pada peningkatan penumpang Bandara BIJB Kertajati. Salah satu penyebabnya diduga adanya pemilihan bandara oleh penumpang angkutan udara khususnya wilayah Bandung Raya. Penumpang angkutan udara Jawa Barat khususnya wilayan Bandung Raya lebih memilih Bandar Udara Internasional Husein Sastranegara Bandung dengan memanfaatkan rute – rute yang tersedia, diduga menjadi salah satu penyebab turunnya jumlah pergerakan penumpang di Bandara BIJB pasca penataan rute. Kondisi transportasi darat yang membutuhkan waktu 3 – 4 jam dari Bandung untuk menuju Bandara BIJB Kertajati menyebabkan pengguna angkutan udara harus berangkat jauh lebih awal untuk terbang melalui Bandara BIJB Kertajati. Di sisi lain, dengan waktu tempuh dan jarak yang hampir sama, penumpang angkutan udara dapat mengakses Bandar Udara Internasional Soekarno – Hatta Tangerang yangmenawarkan berbagai kelebihan. Fenomena airport leakage ini diduga juga menjadi penyebab tidak belum meningkatnya pergerakan penumpang di Bandara BIJB Kertajati. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey explanatory. Pendekatan analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Partial Least Square (PLS) dengan menggunakan SmartPLS versi 3.3.2 sebagai sarana pengolahan data. Hasil pengolahan data mengungkapkan bahwa Pengalaman Penumpang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Pemilihan Bandara di Bandara BIJB Kertajati, Pemilihan Bandara berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Airport Leakage di Bandara BIJB Kertajati, Pengalaman Penumpang tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Airport Leakage di Bandara BIJB Kertajati, dan Pengalaman Penumpang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Airport Leakage melalui Pemilihan Bandara di Bandara BIJB Kertajati.

Abstract

Indonesia's salt production has great potential, but is still hampered by fluctuations in quality and productivity influenced by weather factors. Dependence on the weather causes instability in salt production results, which impacts achieving salt self-sufficiency. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the influence of climate factors on the productivity and quality of traditional salt in Central Java Province, including temperature, humidity, rainfall, and wind speed. This study uses a quantitative approach, with data collected from 8 salt-producing districts/cities in Central Java with purposive sampling. Climate data was obtained from BMKG, while productivity and quality data were obtained from the Central Java DKP. The analysis technique used panel data regression with the Least Squares (OLS) approach and the Chow, Hausman, and Lagrange Multiplier tests to select the best model. The results showed that rainfall significantly negatively affected traditional salt productivity, while temperature, humidity, and wind speed did not show a significant effect. Overall, climate conditions were shown to affect salt productivity positively. Temperature and humidity have a significant positive effect on salt quality, wind speed has a significant negative effect, and rainfall has no significant effect on salt quality. Overall, climate conditions have a positive effect on salt quality. Rainfall and temperature management are essential to increase salt productivity and quality, while climate factor management will produce optimal results. The development of modern salt production technology that reduces dependence on extreme weather and better management of natural resources and technology can support the achievement of more stable and sustainable salt self-sufficiency.

Abstract

Competitive strategy analysis can be fundamental for responding to external conditions and increasing internal capabilities in generating a company’s competitive advantage. The purpose of this research is to determine the company's position in the industry as a basis for selecting alternative strategies so the company can strengthen its competitiveness and overcome its weaknesses in facing competitors. The methodology is descriptive qualitative research. Observation is done by data obtained from secondary sources. The analysis carried out includes: The Input Stage with Competitive Profile Matrix; The Matching Stage with Boston Consulting Group (BCG) Matrix and the Grand Strategy Matrix based on competitive analysis according to Porter's Five (Plus One) Forces; The Decision Stage with the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM). Justification was carried out based on a Forum Group Discussion with several experts using the Delphi Method. The result shows that there is a change in competitive conditions, thus the market leader company, Kalbe Farma, needs to make strategic adjustments. In conclusion, the results of strategy alternatives’ formulation through BCG Matrix and Grand Strategy, as well as the selection of strategies using the QSPM show that the priority strategies for Kalbe Farma, respectively sorted from the most recommended are Market Penetration, Market Development, and Product Development.

Abstract

Tujuan dilakukan panelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi akar penyebab masalah pengoperasian lift yang kurang optimal dan merancang solusi perbaikannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah kerangka kerja DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) dari Six Sigma. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa akar permasalahan dari masalah perbaikan lift yang berulang adalah prosedur pelaporan yang tidak efisien yang mengakibatkan keterlambatan atau kegagalan dalam pengadaan suku cadang. Dengan demikian penulis merekomendasikan untuk mengimplementasikan platform kolaborasi SharePoint untuk meningkatkan komunikasi dan koordinasi antara departemen terkait. Dengan implementasi SharePoint, diperkirakan proses perbaikan lift akan menjadi lebih efisien, dengan waktu proses yang berkurang sekitar 4 hari.

Abstract

The aims of this study are: (1) To determine the service failure severity from internet network issues according to Telkomsel users; (2) To determine the influence of service failure severity from internet network issues on brand forgiveness of Telkomsel users; and (3) To determine the influence of service failure severity from internet network issues on each brand forgiveness dimension of telkomsel users. The study used an online survey to collect data. The sample size for this study was 100 respondents. Data analysis was conducted using mean analysis and PLS-SEM. Research Findings: The study findings indicate that: (1) the service failure severity from internet network issues, according to Telkomsel users, is categorized as high; (2) the service failure severity from internet network issues has a significant negative influence on the brand forgiveness of Telkomsel users; (3) the service failure severity from internet network issues has a significant negative influence on each brand forgiveness dimension (cognitive, affective, behavioral) of Telkomsel users. This study simplifies the research conducted by Alnawas et al. (2023) by focusing only on two main variables, service failure severity and brand forgiveness, in order to provide a more focused and in-depth understanding of the relationship between severity of service failure and brand forgiveness

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kemungkinan terjadinya kegagalan dalam layanan pengiriman last mile DZL Logistics untuk PT Sarana Logistik. Penelitian menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif, melibatkan wawancara dan analisis dokumen untuk mengumpulkan informasi dari berbagai narasumber. Penelitian ini menerapkan analisis Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) untuk menilai risiko dari berbagai potensi kegagalan, termasuk mengukur tingkat keparahan dampak, probabilitas kejadian, dan kemampuan deteksi terhadap kegagalan tersebut. Hasil analisis FMEA pada penelitian ini berhasil mengidentifikasi tujuh potensi kegagalan dan memberikan nilai Risk Priority Number (RPN) untuk masing-masing potensi tersebut. Dari RPN tertinggi (kerusakan paket) hingga terendah (kesalahan input "aircode"), penelitian ini merancang rencana tindakan untuk mengurangi kejadian, mengurangi dampak. Hasil pada penelitian ini diharapkan dapat mengurangi tingkat kejadian, keparahan dampak serta deteksi dari potensi kegagalan di proses last mile delivery DZL Logistics.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the application of the balanced scorecard (BSC) method as a benchmark for measuring performance at PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method by analyzing data information that can be measured into research indicators based on the four perspectives of the BSC, financial perspective, customer perspective, internal business perspective and growth and learning perspective. Based on the BSC analysis, in 2018-2021 the company's overall performance was not good. The company's condition is getting better in the 2021-2022 period, marked by an increase in profits and a significant increase in the scores of the four BSC perspectives. This indicates that the company's overall performance is improving compared to previous years
