Abstract

As part of the Indonesian National Police, one of the tasks of the Air Police is to support the Ministry of Environment and Forestry in preventing deforestation. With the available resources, the Air Police must be able to carry out their duties efficiently. This study measures the efficiency of the support performance of ten Air Police under the Control of the Regional Police covering ten provinces to prevent deforestation. Each operations control (OC) represents a Decision-Making Unit (DMU). Using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) with the Banker, Charnes, Cooper (BCC) model, the results showed that two OCs (Bali and North Sulawesi) were identified as efficient, while eight OCs were inefficient.   Keywords - deforestation, efficiency, DEA, BCC, VRS

Abstract

This study's goal was to compare the usability of the websites for the Industrial Engineering and Chemical Engineering departments at a university. Since these sites are critical for new students seeking information, a user-friendly interface is essential for efficient and accurate information retrieval. To conduct the study, a user performance test was administered to 40 new students, all with less than a year of study. They were asked to complete three specific tasks: downloading a form, finding a "kaleidoscope" (a summary of activities), and locating information about oral exam registration. The researchers collected data on the time students took to complete the tasks (efficiency) and the number of errors they made. This data was t hen analyzed using a Two-Way ANOVA statistical method. The results showed significant differences in usability between the two websites, with a very strong interaction effect for both efficiency and error rates. The Industrial Engineering website was most efficient for downloading a form but proved to be the least efficient for finding the kaleidoscope. Conversely, the Chemical Engineering website was most efficient for finding the kaleidoscope but was the least efficient for form downloads. Regarding errors, finding the kaleidoscope and downloading a form presented the most significant challenges, while registering for the oral exam was the least error-prone task. These findings highlight the importance of making specific, tailored improvements to academic web design to enhance the user experience on these platforms.   Keywords – Usability; University Website; User Experience; Efficiency; Error Rates

Abstract

Reverse logistics adalah proses pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, dan pengelolaan pergerakan barang jadi, persediaan barang dalam proses, bahan mentah, dan informasi terkait secara ekonomis dan efisien dari titik asal ke titik konsumsi. Permasalahan yang terjadi pada industri perlengkapan medis diwakili PT XYZ yaitu adanya penumpukan produk kasa retur reject yang dapat menyebabkan biaya simpan gudang yang semakin membengkak. Hal ini disebabkan karena produk tersebut tidak dapat digunakan kembali. Namun, jika dimanfaatkan dengan baik, produk kasa retur tersebut masih terdapat beberapa produk yang bisa digunakan kembali dan dapat meminimalkan biaya reverse logistics produk. Pada penelitian ini, seluruh komponen biaya reverse logistics akan dihitung menggunakan metode VMI dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui Total Reverse Logistics Cost dari keseluruhan retur produk kasa pada PT XYZ periode tahun 2022-2023. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa TRLC yang didapatkan sebesar Rp 148.556.914 dan 79% dari keseluruhan biaya tersebut berasal dari biaya simpan. Keterbatasan dalam penelitian ini, perusahaan belum menerapkan pengelolaan produk retur dengan tepat seperti aktivitas recovery. Tentunya jika hal ini dapat diterapkan, maka perusahaan dapat mengurangi biaya reverse logistics dan meningkatkan pendapatan perusahaan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that influence the quality of infusion stand products at PT. XYZ. The research method used in this study is the New Seven Tools method and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA). The data collection technique uses interview and observation methods. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the factors that influence defects in infusion stand products are based on human factors, material factors, machine factors, method factors, and environmental factors. It is also known that defects with the highest Risk Priority Number value which will be a priority for repair are broken wheel defects with an RPN value of 280.

Abstract

Agriculture plays an important role in the Indonesian economy, fertilizer is an important element in the development of the agricultural sector, especially urea fertilizer. PT. Damai Sejahtera, as one of the largest fertilizer producers in Indonesia, experienced waste in the urea fertilizer production process. In this study, lean six sigma was utilized. Using a lean approach, a reduction in non-value-added activities formed by the nine types of waste of 1360 to 1276 or 6.17% was achieved. However, using six sigma, it was found that the production process was not satisfactory as it resulted in many product defects with 36,331 DPMO and a sigma level of 3.32. Improvement suggestions to increase the sigma value were obtained through FMEA. Through this research, Process Cycle Efficiency was obtained from 74.85% to 80.35%.

Abstract

Infrastructure development in an area, including the construction of toll roads, is aimed at developing a region and increasing the economy of the region. The construction of the toll road which is connected from Krian-Manyar-Gresik is carried out to facilitate traffic connecting the two cities. Traffic jams often occur at the link between the two cities. Congestion that occurs is usually caused by an increase in the volume of vehicles. Therefore, the construction of a toll road connecting the two cities is the best alternative. This research aimed to know government policies effectiveness in the construction of this toll road. The method used in this research is to use a dynamic system approach. From the results of the traffic simulation model design, it is found that the construction of toll roads is considered very influential and can be a way out of congestion problems. This is due to a decrease in the degree of saturation of congestion and although there is an increase from year to year, it is only slightly and not too significant. So the researchers suggest to continue the planned toll road construction project.

Abstract

Inventory in raw materials is a very important thing to pay attention to by the company in carrying out its business processes. Economy Order Quantity (EOQ) is a method that is generally used in determining raw material availability policies in order to obtain minimum yields. This method will help plan raw material inventory in a company to be more efficient. In a manufacturing company, inventory is classified into three parts, specifically raw goods, semi-finished goods and finished goods. If a supply is sufficient then the production process will run smoothly. The purpose of this study is to make an analysis and make a control plan for milk raw materials contained in CV. Milkinesia Nusantara using the EOQ method. After analyzing the results obtained, the optimal purchase frequency is 240 times a year because milk raw materials are easily spoiled with a total purchase of milk raw materials every time one order is 119 liters, the main raw material is considered safe as much as 183 liters with what was ordered back when the raw material amounted to 457 liters. Then the total cost of availability of the company's raw materials, which was originally Rp. 85,023,395.55 - can be saved to Rp. 42,006,726, - so that the savings that occur are Rp. 43,016,669.55.

Abstract

Sebuah jalan tol sudah selesai dibangun di Krian-Legundi-Bunder-Manyar untuk memperlancar lalu lintas dikarenakan seringnya terjadi kemacetan. Kemacetan adalah suatu keadaan dimana pada suatu ruas jalan mengalami antrian kendaraan hingga volume ruas jalan tidak mencukupi. Kemacetan yang terjadi dijalan raya legundi disebabkan banyaknya kendaraan besar yang melewati jalur tersebut. Salah satu tujuan penulis melakukan penelitian yaitu untuk mengukur efektivitas kebijakan publik dalam analisis tarif jalan tol ini. Sistem dinamis digunakan sebagai metode untuk penelitian ini. Dikarenakan dapat mempelajari interaksi struktur, mengubahnya menjadi model matematika, dan mensimulasikannya untuk menangkap perilaku historis. Hasil perhitungan saturasi kemacetan diperoleh sebelum dan sesudah selesainya pembangunan jalan tol. Hasil perancangan model simulasi lalu lintas menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan jalan tol sangat efisien dan dapat menghilangkan masalah kemacetan. Hal ini disebabkan adanya penurunan kejenuhan kemacetan dan cenderung meningkat dari tahun ke tahun, namun dalam jumlah yang lebih sedikit. Karena itu penulis merekomendasikan kepada pengendara roda empat agar menggunakan jalan tol.

Abstract

PT. Petrokimia Gresik, the most comprehensive fertilizer agro-industry company in Indonesia, produces a product called Filler Plus, which requires dolomite as a raw material. Amid pressure from the government, especially on environmental issues, companies are creating production strategies that are environmentally friendly but also prioritize economic factors (economic profits) and the impact on the social environment. One of these strategies can be done by selecting the right supplier. This research evaluates supplier performance based on sustainable aspects (economic, environmental, social) using the cut-off point method for selecting sub-criteria, FAHP for weighting sub-criteria, and TOPSIS for ranking suppliers based on predetermined sub-criteria. This study uses qualitative and quantitative approaches. The research results show that supplier S2 is ranked highest with a coefficient value of 0.826, followed by S3 (0.442), S4 (0.357), and S1 (0.256). This study can serve as a basis for strategic decision-making in selecting sustainable dolomite suppliers by considering the most relevant criteria and sub-criteria.

Abstract

Inovasi teknologi telah membawa perubahan signifikan dalam sektor perikanan. Artikel ini membahas strategi yang mengeksplorasi pemanfaatan alat pemberi pakan otomatis sebagai upaya meningkatkan hasil panen ikan lele. Teknologi ini memberikan solusi efisien dan efektif dalam manajemen pakan, mengatasi kendala yang sering kali dihadapi petani dalam pemberian pakan secara manual. Dengan memanfaatkan alat pemberi pakan otomatis, petani dapat mengontrol pemberian pakan secara tepat waktu dan akurat, sesuai dengan kebutuhan ikan lele pada berbagai tahap pertumbuhannya. Keuntungan utama dari alat pemberi pakan otomatis, yaitu penghematan waktu dan usaha petani. Dengan menerapkan alat otomatis ini, petani dapat menjaga kualitas pakan dan mengoptimalkan pertumbuhan ikan dengan lebih baik dan juga dalam meningkatkan produktivitas dan kesejahteraan petani. Dengan menggabungkan pengetahuan tradisional petani dengan teknologi modern, strategi ini berpotensi membawa perubahan berkelanjutan dalam budidaya ikan lele. Diharapkan bahwa penerapan alat pemberi pakan otomatis akan mendukung upaya global dalam mencapai ketahanan pangan dan pengembangan sektor perikanan yang berkelanjutan.
