Abstract

Based on the results of pre-research in teaching and learning activities in class and the results of interviews with class VII Indonesian language study teachers at SMP Negeri 10 Palembang, researchers found various problems that emerged as a result of low student learning outcomes, especially writing letters. Several factors cause students to not be able to write personal letters, namely: 1) students still find it difficult to put ideas into letters, 2) the writing of words and content is still not fully expressed, because students are not yet able to optimally put together words. one word with another or one sentence with another sentence, 3) incorrect use of spelling and punctuation. The type of research carried out is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The research procedure carried out refers to the research design proposed by Kemmis and Mc Taggart, namely a cyclical form and each cycle consists of two meetings. The subjects of this research were students in class VII.2 of SMP Negeri 10 Palembang, totaling 27 students consisting of 14 boys and 13 girls. Based on the results of classroom action research which has been carried out in two cycles, the aim is to improve the learning outcomes of class VII.2 students at SMP Negeri 10 Palembang using the problem based learning model. Based on the pre-action results, it shows that as many as 12 students or 44.44% completed their studies with an average score of 68.22. The test results in cycle I increased to 14 students or 51.85% who were declared complete in learning with the average score increasing to 73.70. From the results of the second cycle test, meeting 1, data was obtained with an average value of 80.15 and at meeting 2, data was obtained with an average value of 81.78. The test results in cycle II increased to 24 students or 88.88% who were declared complete in learning with the average score increasing to 81.44.

Abstract

The aim of the PTK research is to determine the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in improving the learning outcomes of class VII 3 students at SMP Negeri 10 Palembang on speaking material and presenting response texts. This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of class VII 3 students at SMP Negeri 10 Palembang due to the lack of interest and motivation to learn when students and educators still used conventional methods. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) with two cycles. The stages of this research are planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data collection techniques in this research are observation and tests. Data collection instruments include test question sheets, teaching modules and LKPD. The data analysis technique is in the form of analysis of student learning outcomes using scoring guidelines. Based on the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that there has been an increase in the learning outcomes of class VII 3 students at SMP Negeri 10 Palembang in the material of speaking and presenting response texts from Cycle I to Cycle II with the percentage of Cycle I learning outcomes being only 16 students (44.4% ) who achieved learning completeness, while 20 students (55.6%) had not yet achieved learning completeness. In Cycle II there was an increase where 33 students (91.6%) achieved learning completeness, while 3 students (8.4%) had not yet achieved learning completeness.

Abstract

This research aims to increase the learning motivation and learning responsibility of class XI students at SMA Negeri 3 Palembang in understanding scientific work through the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PJBL) method. The problem identified was students' low learning motivation and learning responsibility, which was reflected in passive participation, lack of interest in the material, and limited level of understanding. Data from observations and questionnaires were analyzed using percentage calculations. This research was carried out in two cycles. The results of the research show an increase in students' motivation and responsibility in project assignment-based learning.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the increase in students' understanding of the material in understanding the structure of scientific work texts through a discussion method based on peer review discussions for class XI students at SMA Negeri 3 Palembang. The type of research carried out is Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis and Mc Taggart research model. The subjects of this research were students in class XI.2 of SMA Negeri 3 Palembang for the 2023/2024 academic year. The indicator of the success of the action in this research is the cognitive test results of students who succeeded in achieving a KKM score of ≥ 78 or there were more than 80% of students who were complete in understanding the lesson. This research consists of two cycles with one meeting each cycle. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation and reflecting stages. Data analysis techniques use quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques. The results of the research showed that in the first cycle, the results of the cognitive test of students' understanding showed that of the 45 students, there were 28 (68.2%)  students who scored above the KKM, and 17 (37.8%) students had not yet achieved KKM value. This means that, after implementing the peer review discussion method, students' understanding of the material in understanding the structure of scientific work texts has increased but has not yet reached the successful indicator of research completion. Therefore, researchers continued research in cycle II. In cycle II there was a significant increase in the results of students' cognitive understanding tests with 43 (95.5%) students getting a complete score above the KKM and 3 (6.6%) students who had not yet reached the KKM score.

Abstract

Based on the results of observations at SMA IT Palembang in Indonesian language subjects, students tend to be sluggish and lack enthusiasm. Apart from that, there are some students who are reluctant to participate when learning activities take place. It can be concluded that students' learning motivation tends to be weak, especially in Indonesian language lessons which have a sleepy impression and lots of text, especially biographical texts. Moreover, Indonesian language subjects in class Combining games into learning that seems full of text certainly makes students curious. The use of the wall war method is expected to increase students' learning motivation and understanding of biographical text learning material. This research will examine increasing students' learning motivation on biographical text material using the wall war method. Based on the explanation and discussion above, the results obtained are that the application of learning methods, namely the games method in biographical text learning activities, is able to support increased student learning motivation. Likewise, it is able to improve self-regulation and student learning outcomes, especially wall war games.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh peserta didik yang mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami dan menerapkan konsep-konsep karya ilmiah karena kurangnya minat dan pembelajaran yang belum sepenuhnya melibatkan mereka berperan aktif. Akibatnya, hasil belajar peserta didik menjadi rendah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar materi karya ilmiah pada peserta didik kelas XI SMA Negeri 3 Palembang dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL). Penelitian tindakan kelas ini menggunakan metode deskriptif, guru sebagai peneliti menggambarkan keadaan situasi yang terjadi berdasarkan fakta yang terjadi di kelas pada saat penelitian berlangsung. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus, dimana tiap- tiap siklus terdiri dari 2 pertemuan, dari tiap pertemuan siklus I dan siklus II mengalami kenaikan secara bertahap. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tindakan kelas dan pembahasan yang telah dipaparkan, diketahui bahwa persentase nilai hasil belajar siswa pada kondisi awal sebesar 42.2%, kemudian pada siklus I mengalami peningkatan sebesar 22.2% menjadi 64.4%, pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan sebesar 24.4% menjadi 88.8%. Ketuntasan hasil belajar peserta didik mulai dari kondisi awal, siklus I dan siklus II mengalami peningkatan yang pesat dan telah mencapai ketuntasan belajar lebih dari 80% pada akhir siklus, dengan presentase 88.8%. Selanjutnya aktivitas guru pada siklus I hanya 90.4% mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II sebesar 7.2% menjadi 97.6%. Sedangkan aktivitas peserta didik pada siklus I hanya 78.5% mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II sebesar 14.3% menjadi 92.8%. Dengan demikian, implementasi model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik sehingga model ini sangat tepat digunakan dalam membantu proses pembelajaran di kelas. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap materi karya ilmiah dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI.1 SMA Negeri 3 Palembang semester genap tahun pelajaran 2023/2024.

Abstract

This research aims to help students improve their drama playing skills using the Oscar Brocket technique in class XI-2 students at SMA Negeri 6 Palembang. This research is classroom action research (PTK). The research subjects were students in class XI-2 SMA Negeri 6 Palembang, totaling 30 students. This research consists of two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementation or action, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques used were questionnaires, interviews, observations and documentation of learning activities. Analysis was carried out using qualitative descriptive techniques supported by quantitative data. The validity of the data obtained through validity (process, results and democratic). The results of this research show that the Oscar Brocket technique can improve drama playing skills in class XI-2 students at SMA Negeri 6 Palembang. This is based on the results of student observations from pre-action and Cycle I with a calculated average value of 4.33 (43.30%) and cycle II of 6.76 (67.60%). Students' drama playing abilities from the beginning to the second cycle increased to reach a calculated average of 2.43 (24.30%). Apart from that, progress in the drama learning process is also visible. Before the steps were implemented, students seemed to lack confidence in expressing themselves, were less active, often joked with classmates, and were less confident in playing the characters they played, so their performances were less than optimal. However, after these steps were implemented, students began to show improvements in expression, were more active, the learning atmosphere became more conducive, and students no longer hesitated in acting out the roles they took, and were even able to improvise in the characters they played and understand how to place their bodies in action.

Abstract

The aim of this research is 1) to improve learning outcomes in compiling contextually based scientific work through the Project Based Learning (PJBL) learning model for class XI students at SMA Negeri 3 Palembang. 2) improve procedures for implementing the Project Based Learning learning model in compiling contextual-based scientific work for class XI students at SMA Negeri 3 Palembang. This research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) using the Kemmis and Mc Taggart model. This research uses a qualitative and quantitative descriptive research design with a collaborative pattern, researchers and teachers jointly carry out CAR to solve the problem to be researched. Data were collected through observations and tests which were analyzed descriptively qualitatively and quantitatively. Students prepared contextually based scientific work in class XI SMA Negeri 3 Palembang. The increase in the pre-cycle stage was 26.08% in the very good category, 17.39% in the good category, 32.60% in the moderate/fair category and 23.91% in the poor category. After implementing the first cycle actions, 34.78% were in the very good category, 30.43% were in the good category, 21.73% were in the moderate/fair category and 13.04% were in the poor category. Cycle II, 52.17% in the very good category, 39.13% in the good category, 10.86% in the moderate/fair category. Thus, the results of the performance test show that the learning outcomes of applying the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model in compiling contextual-based scientific work in class XI students at SMA Negeri 3 Palembang have increased.

Abstract

This research aims to enhance the drama playing skills of the 11th-grade students in SMA Negeri 6 Palembang using Oscar Brocket's techniques. It also seeks to integrate Oscar Brocket's techniques into their curriculum, expanding their repertoire of approaches. The method employed in this research is qualitative descriptive analysis supported by quantitative data to depict the drama playing abilities before and after the intervention. Qualitative analysis is utilized to record field observations and interview results, while quantitative data is obtained from drama playing evaluations before and after the intervention. Primary and secondary data sources are utilized in this research. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews with informants, recordings, and documentation. The data analysis is descriptive and qualitative. Drama learning necessitates a technique to enhance the learning process. Researchers and Indonesian language and literature teachers discussed techniques to enhance drama playing skills, with Oscar Brocket's technique being chosen. Oscar Brocket's technique facilitates students' understanding in drama playing by engaging them in various stages such as body exercises, voice exercises, imagination, concentration exercises, technique exercises, acting exercises, and skill-flexibility exercises. These techniques are applied progressively to prevent students from getting bored during drama learning. Students are trained to concentrate but in an enjoyable manner, encouraging them to imagine everything they can think of. They are also trained to act according to the characters in the scripts provided.

Abstract

This research aimed to improve the learning interest of eleventh-grade social science students at SMA IT Izzuddin Palembang in the Indonesian Language subject through the use of the Educaplay technology-based learning media. This research was a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. Data collection was carried out through observations, questionnaires, and documentation. The results showed an increase in students' learning interest based on observations and questionnaire results. In the pre-research stage, the observation results showed that students' learning interest was still low (48%). After implementing Educaplay in cycle I, the observation results of students' learning interest increased to 70% (moderate), and in cycle II, it increased to 85% (high). Meanwhile, based on the questionnaire, students' learning interest in cycle I was in the moderate category (71%), and in cycle II, it increased to 83% (high). It can be concluded that the use of the Educaplay learning media can improve the Indonesian language learning interest of eleventh-grade social science students at SMA IT Izzuddin Palembang.
