Abstract

The study investigates the implementation of the values of Islām wasaṭiyyah in the textbook of Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam for the 6th Grade of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Indonesia. By library research using content analysis, the authors conclude that the values of Islām wasaṭiyyah are very relevant to the character education that is currently being rolled out and promoted by the Indonesian government. There are nine values of Islām wasaṭiyyah demonstrated through the storytelling in the textbook: tawassuṭ (taking the middle path), tasāmuḥ (tolerance), musāwah (egalitarian/non-discrimination), shūrā (deliberations), i’tidāl (straight and firm), iṣlāḥ (reform), aulawiyyah (prioritizing priorities), taṭāwur wa ibtikār (dynamic and innovative), and taḥaḍḍur (civilized). The authors suggest that the textbook’s Core Competencies and Basic Competencies need to be expanded to cover all the values included in the story. In addition, proportionally, all the values need to be put because there is no value explained to be much more dominant than others.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and interpersonal communication skills in students and to determine how accurate the self-efficacy variable is as a predictor of the interpersonal communication skills variable in students . This type of research is an ex post facto study with a correlational type. The subjects of this study were 89 PAI students from the 2022 intake. The variables in this study consist of the dependent variable, namely interpersonal communication skills and the independent variable, namely self-efficacy. The data collected is an analysis of self-efficacy and interpersonal communication skills using a questionnaire instrument. The data analysis used is simple regression analysis and product moment correlation. The results of the correlation coefficient analysis for the self-efficacy variable with interpersonal communication skills = 0.784 with a significance of 0.000 (p 0.01). The results of data analysis show a significant positive relationship between self-efficacy and interpersonal communication skills in students with a determination coefficient of 61.5% and the remaining 38.5%, and 139.140 3.95, which means there is a positive and significant relationship between self- efficacy and interpersonal communication skills in students.

Abstract

Transformation within Islamic State Higher Institutions (PTKI) from State College for Islamic Studies (IAIN) to State Islamic Universities (UIN) is a dynamically shifting paradigm in Islamic Studies. The transformation not only occurs formally administratively in infrastructures, curricula, or teaching approaches, but also in conceptual framework and knowledge paradigms. This research objective is to investigate whether Muslim academics need to review Islamic studies in higher Islamic education institutions to include science and to integrate it with Islamic studies both in curricula and methods of teaching. The method of this research is a rigorous literature based study focusing on reviewing previous studies related transformation that was held within the Islamic higher education institutions. The results show that in the transformation process within PTKIN, there is a meaningful shift of Islamic studies from traditional approaches to modern ones. Formerly, Islamic studies only associated with developing religious scripts (al-‘ulûm al-naqliyyah), while now it should focus also on developing logic and interpretation (al-‘ulûm al-‘aqliyyah). The change from the IAIN to the UIN is a concrete response toward an integrative relation between science and religion. Even though each UIN offers different concepts about the integrative paradigm designs, all UINs agreed on the importance of building a new tradition in the PTKIN with the integrative paradigms from theoretic-philosophic-concepts to practical-implemented-contexts.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims at identifying the importance of religious moderation through understanding and practicing the values of Islām wasaṭiyyah in the learning process in Indonesian madrasah. Design/methods/approach – Using a historical approach, this qualitative study investigates the practices of the values of Islām wasaṭiyyah by medieval Muslim figures and explores indicators of success in learning based on those values in madrasah. Data were collected through document analysis. Document data sources were obtained from various literature, including books, ulama fatwas, scientific journals, seminar papers, and other publications. Data analysis techniques use content analysis based on themes found Findings – The authors found that of the seven values selected—tolerance, egalitarian, dynamic and innovative, reform, taking the path middle, balance, and prioritizing the priority—the figures practiced them simultaneously. The indicators of success in learning are students, teachers, and parents have an awareness of the importance of the values of wasaṭiyyah; students become the center of pedagogy reflecting those values; students and teachers act independently in implementing those values; students and teachers are involved in collaboration in developing those values; and there is transformation to the better one due to the inculcation of those values. Research implications/limitations – Because the study applies a historical approach, it uses only documents as its data source. Future studies can use interviews and observations so that the results are more trustworthy. Originality/value – The findings of the study provide an overview of the extent to which the values of Islām wasaṭiyyah have been practiced in Islamic schools in Indonesia.

Abstract

Pembelajaran adalah sesuatu yang dilakukan oleh pembelajar, bukan sesuatu yang diberlakukan kepada pembelajar sebagai faktor kunci. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi teori belajar konstruktivisme dalam pembelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus, dilaksanakan pada salah satu Madrasah Aliyah di Kota Pekanbaru, Riau. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa implementasi teori belajar konstruktivisme dalam pembelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam pada Madrasah Aliyah di Kota Pekanbaru telah berjalan dengan baik. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran sudah relevan dengan paradigma dan prinsip-prinsip teori belajar konstruktivisme. Implementasi teori belajar konstruktivisme dalam penelitian ini menghasilkan sejumlah implikasi positif, yaitu mendorong peserta didik untuk berpartisipasi aktif, meningkatkan pemikiran yang kritis, mengembangkan keterampilan dalam pengambilan keputusan, memberikan kesempatan dalam merancang pembelajaran, meningkatkan pemahaman, dan memfasilitasi keterampilan kolaborasi. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam memperkaya wawasan tentang implementasi teori belajar konstruktivisme dalam pembelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam, serta menawarkan rekomendasi praktis untuk peningkatan kualitas pendidikan di Madrasah Aliyah

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap sebuah praktik tradisi Semutan di Desa Kalibanger Temanggung melalui tiga kegelisahan akademik berupa: Pertama, Apa dan bagaimana prosesi tradisi Semutan di Kalibanger? Kedua,  Apakah motivasi masyarakat mengadakan tradisi Semutan serta pengaruhnya dalam keberagamaan masyarakat desa Kalibanger? dan Ketiga, Bagaimana analisis Resepsi terhadap tradisi Semutan? Metode penelitian ini menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data digunakan teori Mind and Directing Practices Barbara Meltcalf dan teori resepsi Ahmad Rafiq. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Pertama, tradisi Semutan merupakan tradisi gotong royong warga Kalibanger untuk membongkar rumah warga sebelum dibangun suatu bangunan baru tanpa disertai ritual keagamaan khusus. Kedua, dua unsur yang memotivasi warga Kalibanger adalah (1) mind: hadis-hadis gotong royong (2) directing practices: cara hidup Rasulullah saw dan serta tradisi Sambatan sebelumnya di pulau Jawa. Ketiga, analisis resepsi terhadap tradisi Semutan di Kalibanger meliputi (1) eksegesis yang berasal dari para Cultural Broker dan buku HPT jilid 3 Muhammadiyah (2) estetis, tradisi Semutan digolongkan sebagai resepsi Estetis makro dikarenakan tidak selalu suatu agen Living Hadis menyadari kehadiran hadis sebagai motivasi utama sebuah tradisi (3) fungsional, warga menerapkan nilai-nilai akhlak gotong royong dari Mudin dengan melestarikan Semutan tanpa ritual khusus seperti kepercayaan pada nenek moyang ataupun hal mistis lain.[Reception Analysis of Semutan Tradition in Kalibanger Village, Temanggung, Central Java. This study aims to uncover a practice of the Semutan tradition in Kalibanger Temanggung Village through three academic anxiety, namely: First, what and how is the procession of the Semutan tradition in Kalibanger? Second, what is the motivation of the community to hold the Semutan tradition and its influence on the diversity of the Kalibanger village community? and Third, How is Reception's analysis of the Semutan tradition?. This research method uses observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis used the Mind and Directing Practices theory of Barbara Meltcalf and Ahmad Rafiq's reception theory. The results of the study show that: First, the Semutan tradition is a tradition of mutual assistance for the residents of Kalibanger to dismantle the residents' houses before the construction of a new building without any special religious rituals. Second, the two elements that motivate the residents of Kalibanger are (1) mind: the traditions of mutual cooperation (2) directing practices: the way of life of the Prophet Muhammad and the previous Sambatan tradition on the island of Java. Third, the reception analysis of the Semutan tradition in Kalibanger includes (1) exegesis from Cultural Brokers and HPT volume 3 Muhammadiyah book (2) aesthetically, the Semutan tradition is classified as a macro aesthetic reception because not always an agent of Living Hadith is aware of the presence of hadith as the main motivation for a tradition (3) functional, citizens apply the moral values of mutual cooperation from Mudin by preserving Semutan without special rituals such as belief on ancestors or other mystical things.]

Abstract

The focus of this research is to find out the learning background. This research is a qualitative descriptive method with a case study. Data collection techniques are interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study are an important reason for teachers to innovate in learning to count is to be facilitators and observers, teachers as learners, adopters, developers, and creators; the teacher's innovation process in the three stages of learning through introductory concepts, transitions/ stages, and symbol stages; and effects of teacher innovation in numeracy learning methods to stimulate logical-mathematical intelligence to be able to think logically, be able to improve memory, be able to classify, be able to increase numbers, be able to find ways to work, become problem solvers, able to understand cause and effect, and be able to improve accuracy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tantangan penyesuaian mahasiswa magister Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (PGMI) dalam field study pada mata kuliah Islam dan Ilmu Sosial Humaniora. Field study menjadi bagian penting dalam proses pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan teori dan praktik, namun mahasiswa sering kali menghadapi berbagai hambatan di lapangan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tantangan utama yang dihadapi mahasiswa meliputi kesenjangan antara teori yang diajarkan dengan kondisi lapangan, faktor sosial dan budaya, serta kurangnya kesiapan mahasiswa S1 dan pengalaman mahasiswa dalam berinteraksi dengan masyarakat setempat. Selain itu, faktor personal seperti manajemen waktu dan adaptasi terhadap lingkungan sosial turut memengaruhi proses penyesuaian. Studi ini menyarankan perlunya penguatan kesiapan mahasiswa melalui pelatihan berbasis keterampilan sosial, penyesuaian kurikulum dengan kebutuhan lapangan, dan dukungan supervisi yang berkelanjutan. Implikasi penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi masukan bagi pengelola program magister PGMI untuk meningkatkan efektivitas field study dalam mengembangkan kompetensi mahasiswa.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the process and the integration of Islamic values ​​into Javanese language learning. This research method was carried out qualitatively descriptive. This study described how the teacher combines Islamic values ​​with Javanese language learning for grade V students. The subjects of this study were students and teachers of MI Ma'arif Darussalam. The data collection technique used was unstructured interviews. Observations are made by observing teacher activities in the classroom and outside the classroom in teaching activities that are familiar with the student's personality. Documentation was done by finding and collecting documents related to the teaching plan to get data about the habits of these characters. Data analysis techniques using data reduction, data display, and conclusions. The result of this research is that the integration of Islamic values ​​with Javanese language learning carried out by the teacher is already at a good stage and has been implemented in the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menggali nilai-nilai hubbul wathon (cinta tanah air) perspektif gagasan dan perjuangan K.H Mas Mansur. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menanamkan rasa cinta kepada tanah air melalui kajian tentang gagasan dan perjuangan K.H Mas Mansur yang dapat diteladani kecintaannya terhadap tanah air dan jiwa nasionalismenya. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dengan cara mengkaji  buku – buku dan literatur penelitian terdahulu yang memiliki relevansi dengan pembahasan yang di angkat yakni berkenaan dengan K. H. Mas Mansur beserta gagasan dan perjuangannya. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu hubbul wathon perspektif gagasan dan perjuangan K. H. Mas Mansur yakni kepeduliannya akan kebangkitan bangsa, mempersiapkan generasi – generasi penerus bangsa, mengantisipasi perpecahan, menghilangkan sifat bermusuh – musuhan, menghentikan pertikaian dan perselisihan, membentuk kekuatan melalui persatuan, melahirkan ide – ide yang cemerlang dan bermanfaat bagi negara, dan memiliki rasa tanggung jawab akan masa depan dan kesejahteraan bangsanya.
