Abstract

The limited number of studies on the development of innovative learning media to enhance students’ speaking skills remains a challenge in Arabic language education, despite the significant impact of this skill on the overall quality of the teaching and learning process. This study aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of a game-based interactive e-book using the Canva application as a learning medium to improve the speaking skills of Grade XI students at MA Tarbiyatut Tholibin Bumijawa, Tegal. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects were Grade XI students, with data collected through interviews, questionnaires, observations, and pre-test and post-test assessments. The test instruments were analyzed for item difficulty and deemed appropriate. Validation results indicate that the learning media is highly valid, with scores of 92.5% from content experts and 87.5% from media experts, and highly feasible according to student evaluations (90.1%). Effectiveness testing using the Paired Sample t-Test (p < 0.05) and an N-Gain score of 76.6% demonstrated a significant improvement in students' speaking skills. These results support the effectiveness of Canva-based interactive e-books in Arabic language learning. The findings contribute theoretically to the literature on educational technology development and offer practical recommendations for teachers to adopt similar media to enhance learning quality. This study also opens opportunities for further exploration across different subjects and educational levels.

Abstract

The low levels of student interest and achievement in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMP Kosgoro Ngusikan Jombang form the basis of this study, largely attributed to the use of conventional and less engaging learning media. This research aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of a Canva-based interactive e-book in improving learning outcomes and fostering student interest. The method employed is Research and Development (R&D), using the Borg and Gall model simplified into seven steps according to Sugiyono: identifying potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, revision, limited trial, and final revision. The research subjects were ninth-grade students at SMP Kosgoro Ngusikan Jombang in the 2024/2025 academic year. Validation results from media and content experts indicate that the interactive e-book is "highly feasible" in terms of visual design, effectiveness, and interactivity. Product trials demonstrated a significant improvement in student learning outcomes, as shown by the difference in average scores before and after using the media. The study concludes that the Canva-based interactive e-book is effective for PAI instruction. In addition to enhancing academic performance, it provides a more engaging, interactive, and enjoyable learning experience for students.

Abstract

In the world of education, reading is a must for students. Because reading is the main tool for achieving learning goals. Many students complain that learning a foreign language is very difficult. There are several factors that cause difficulty in learning a foreign language, including the level of foreign language mastery, motivation, lack of practice, lack of learning media, and creativity in textbooks. This study aims to determine the difference between students' learning motivation and learning ability before and after using comic media. The research method used is Research & Development with the Borg & Gall Model which includes 10 steps. The results of the study are (1) based on the validation test of material and language experts, this comic has a very good quality (SB), with a result of 88%, (2) based on a small-scale trial, the student's response to this product was strongly agree (SS), with a score of 97.5%, and the test on a field scale student response to this product was strongly agree (SS), with a score of 93 .3%, (3) there are differences in student learning outcomes when using comic media, namely the results of students' post-test and pre-test scores. With the average result of the pre-test of students 20.75 and the average result of the post-test of students 82. Seeing from the average post-test of students who are superior to the pre-test of students, it can be said that the Arabic-Indonesian comic media is effectively used and can improve the ability to learn Arabic.

Abstract

This research and development aims to (1) design and develop a more attractive QR Code-based Islamic Cultural History textbook with material that is easy to understand, equipped with pictures and videos that are appropriate to the material developed so as to encourage students to learn effectively. independently 2) determine the level of effectiveness of the QR Code-based Islamic Cultural History textbook. This research uses research and development methods. The samples tested were students from classes XI IPA and XI IPS. Data collection used validation questionnaires, response questionnaires, interviews, observations and documentation carried out at MA Mambaul Ulum Megaluh Jombang. The data analysis techniques used are qualitative and quantitative. Validation by media experts gave an assessment in the "very suitable" category, media experts and student results gave an assessment in the "suitable" category. So it can be concluded that the QR Code-based Islamic Cultural History textbook design is effective and suitable for use for teaching and learning activities for students.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to increase students' understanding of Nahwu material through implementing the Joyful Learning strategy with the Mind Map technique at the Al-Hikmah Bahrul Ulum Islamic Boarding School. This research uses the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method which is carried out in 2 cycles. The subjects of this research were students of Madrasah Diniyah Class 2 Wustho Pondok Pesantren Al-Hikmah Bahrul Ulum Jombang. The research instruments used include observation, tests and questionnaires. Observations are carried out to observe the learning process and interactions between teachers and students. Tests are used to measure the increase in student understanding before and after implementing the strategy, and questionnaires are used to determine student responses to the use of Joyful Learning and the Mind Map technique. The research results show that applying the Joyful Learning strategy with the Mind Map technique can improve students' understanding of Nahwu material. This is shown by the increase in the test scores of the students, starting from the pre-test which obtained a percentage of 62.6%, the first cycle test with a percentage of 68.9%, and the second cycle test with a percentage of 75.8%. Apart from that, improvement is also known through higher participation and enthusiasm during the learning process. Student responses to the use of this strategy are also positive, indicating that this strategy is effective and fun. Thus, the Joyful Learning strategy with the Mind Map technique is recommended for use in Nahwu learning to achieve learning goals more effectively and efficiently. KEYWORDS: Joyful Learning, Mind Map; Nahwu; Islamic Boarding School; Action Research.   ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi Nahwu melalui implementasi strategi Joyful Learning dengan teknik Mind Map di Pondok Pesantren Al-Hikmah Bahrul Ulum. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah santri Madrasah Diniyah Kelas 2 Wustho Pondok Pesantren Al-Hikmah Bahrul Ulum Jombang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan meliputi observasi, tes, dan kuesioner. Observasi dilakukan untuk mengamati proses pembelajaran dan interaksi antara guru dan siswa. Tes digunakan untuk mengukur peningkatan pemahaman siswa sebelum dan sesudah penerapan strategi, dan angket/kuesioner digunakan untuk mengetahui tanggapan siswa terhadap penggunaan Joyful Learning dan teknik Mind Map. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan strategi Joyful Learning dengan teknik Mind Map dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi Nahwu. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan nilai tes para santri, mulai dari pre-tes yang memperoleh persentase 62,6% , tes siklus I dengan persentase 68,9%, dan tes siklus II dengan persentase 75,8%. Selain itu, peningkatan juga diketahu melalui partisipasi dan antusiasme yang lebih tinggi selama proses pembelajaran. Tanggapan siswa terhadap penggunaan strategi ini juga positif, menunjukkan bahwa strategi ini efektif dan menyenangkan. Dengan demikian, strategi Joyful Learning dengan teknik Mind Map direkomendasikan untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran Nahwu guna mencapai tujuan pembelajaran secara lebih efektif dan efisien. Abstract

Cultivation is an activity that is an important sector in the community's economy. One of the activities that is popular with the community is fish farming. To increase fish cultivation, a water quality monitoring system is needed which aims to monitor temperature, pH, oxygen levels, and anomia. To achieve an efficient water quality cultivation system, IoT-based technology is needed. The location of this KKN is located in Tapen village, Kudu sub-district, Jombang regency. The method used in this activity is a question-and-answer method conducted with fish farmers. This activity aims to produce a hydropure meter tool that can help fish farmers monitor water conditions more efficiently and detect changes in water quality quickly. The resulting tool was tested in catfish ponds chosen by fish farmers in Tapen Village and data was obtained, namely pond 1 tds meter 269, temperature 28.19°C, ec 0.072; pool 2 tds quality 430, ec 1.18, temperature 28.63°C; pool 3 tds quality 307, ec 0.83 and temperature 29.75°C. The results of the trials above that have been carried out, show that the water quality and temperature of the catfish pond are good for fish cultivation.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the need for more interest from non-Arabic students in mastering Arabic language learning, especially listening skills. This is because the learning process could be more effective regarding learning methods and the teaching materials that serve as references. Therefore, this research was conducted to develop a QR Code-based Arabic language textbook to overcome the lack of mastery of Arabic listening skills. The method used in this research is R&D, which applies the Borg and Gall model. The subjects in this research were students from the Management Study Program at KH University. A. Wahab Hasbullah Jombang, totaling 22 students. The data instruments used are interviews, questionnaires and tests. The data analyzed produce qualitative and quantitative data, including 1) teaching materials developed in Arabic language textbooks based on QR Code innovation for Istima's learning. 2) based on the validity test, the textbook developed achieved a very valid feasibility level with an average of 94.00% from media experts and 88.08% from media experts. 3) the level of effectiveness of textbooks is very effective as seen from the analysis using the paired t test which obtained a significant value of 0.00 < 0.05 so it can be said that there is an influence on the use of textbooks.

Abstract

This study aims to design a QR Code-Based Arabic Textbook and determine its effectiveness. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) with the Borg and Gall development model. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, tests, and questionnaires. Primary data sources are Arabic vocabulary teaching materials for 2nd-semester management students, lecturers teaching Arabic courses, and 2nd-semester management students, while the primary data source is related articles. The population in this study were all 36 semester two management students, with a sample of 2 semester two management study program students. As for the sampling technique using purposive sampling. Data analysis technique using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that students were interested in using QR Code-based Arabic Textbooks, which could increase Arabic vocabulary, especially second-semester students of the management study program University of KH. A. Wahab Hasbullah Jombang. The effectiveness of textbooks is obtained through the results of the Wilcoxon Test; it is known as the Asymp Sig value. (2-tailed) is 0.000 <0.05, which means that Ha is accepted; that is, there is a significant difference in the learning outcomes of the second-semester students of the management study program at University KH. A. Wahab Hasbullah Jombang. Thus, developing textbooks with QR Code innovations can improve student learning outcomes in the second semester of the management study program at University KH. A. Wahab Hasbullah Jombang in adding Arabic vocabulary.

Abstract

Tadris al-'Arabiyyah al-Mukatssaf (TAM) is a course given to semester 1 students of Arabic Language Education, Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Kediri. This course aims to prepare new students with standard Arabic language skills so they will be able to learn Arabic language courses in the next semester easily. The development of this textbook is based on contextual teaching and learning (CTL) because CTL is a student-oriented approach which can lead students to become more active and can generate self-directed in learning. The textbook development uses the ADDIE procedure with 5 development steps and ends with an experimental test to reveal the effectiveness. This research produced a textbook Tadris al-'Arabiyyah al-Mukatssaf based on Contextual Teaching and Learning with its seven principles, which are: constructivism, inquiry, questioning, learning community, modeling, reflection and authentic assessment. This textbook contains 21 dars (units). Each dars (unit) contains 4 material: 1) ta'bir al-shuurah, 2) hiwar, 3) nash qiraah, and 4) qawaid. In hiwar, nash qiraah and qawaid are equipped with practice questions and a list of mufrodat and Arabic expressions. The results of the effectiveness test with the pre-test and post-test designs revealed that the average post-test score was at 65.33, higher than the pre-test average score at 56.35. Total T count of 9.90 is higher than T table of 1.98 which means that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. With a Pearson correlation value of 0.64 greater than 0.05, the use of books proved to be effective.

Abstract

Pada tumbuhan paku sering terjadi fenomena poliploidi dan salah satu penyebab yang diduga dapat menimbulkan peristiwa poliploidi adalah suhu dingin. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat ploidi paku sayur (Diplazium esculentum) pada ketinggian yang berbeda di Gunung Merbabu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Objek yang digunakan adalah tumbuhan paku Diplazium esculentum yang diambil dari ketinggian yang berbeda (±500 mdpl, ±1500 mdpl, dan ±2500 mdpl) di salahsatu gunung tinggi Indonesia, yaitu Gunung Merbabu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan tingkat ploidi Diplazium esculentum pada ketinggian yang berbeda. Tumbuhan paku Diplazium esculentum yang berada pada ketinggian ±500 mdpl menunjukkan hasil tipe sitologi diploid (2n) yang memiliki jumlah rata-rata kromosom adalah 54,2; pada ketinggian ±1500 mdpl menunjukkan hasil tipe sitologi triploid (3n) yang memiliki jumlah rata-rata kromosom adalah 80,533; sedangkan pada ketinggian ±2500 m dpl memiliki jumlah rata-rata kromosom sebanyak 105,333 dengan hasil tipe sitologi tetraploid (4n). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan tingkat ploidi Diplazium esculentum pada masing-masing ketinggian di Gunung Merbabu.
