Abstract

The environmental challenges faced by Batik Bujang and Batik Candafa, two Riau-based SMEs, stem primarily from the production process, which generates substantial wastewater containing harmful chemicals. The improper disposal of these by-products poses serious risks to water bodies and surrounding ecosystems. This research aims to design a waste management system using eco-friendly technologies capable of processing up to 40 liters of wastewater, thereby minimizing environmental harm. A mixed-method approach was adopted, combining quantitative analysis of waste volume and chemical composition with qualitative insights from SME owners. The findings indicate a significant reduction in chemical pollutants post-treatment, aligning with eco-sustainability goals. This study fills the research gap by providing a technological solution specifically tailored to the needs of small-scale batik producers, emphasizing sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of incentives, job stress, and role conflict on performance and turnover intention among female nurses at RSUD dr RM Pratomo Bagansiapiapi, Rokan Hilir Regency. The population studied consisted of all female nurses working at the hospital, with a total of 117 people. Using the total sampling method, all members of the population were sampled in this study. Data analysis was carried out using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach through Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results showed that incentives have a significant positive effect on nurse performance, while role conflict has a significant negative effect on performance. In addition, job stress has a significant positive effect on turnover intention. The study also found that spiritual intelligence plays a moderating role in the effect of incentives on turnover intention, but has no moderating effect in the relationship between job stress and turnover intention. The findings are expected to provide insights for hospital management in managing nurses' performance and reducing turnover intention.

A structural equation model (SEM) with PLS is the data analysis technique. The results of this study indicate that Islamic school image has no significant influence on word of mouth, Islamic school image has no significant influence on parents' interest, Service quality has an impact on word of mouth, Service quality has an influence on parents' interest, Word of mouth can't mediate the relationship of Islamic school image on parent's interest, and Word of mouth can mediate the relationship service quality on parent's interest. This study explores the ethical perceptions of public accountants in Jakarta when facing client pressures, employing a qualitative phenomenological approach. Through in-depth interviews with licensed auditors from mid-sized and large accounting firms, the research identifies common ethical dilemmas, decision-making processes, and the influence of organizational and cultural factors. Findings reveal that auditors frequently encounter pressures to overlook discrepancies or adjust financial statements, leading to conflicts between professional ethics and client satisfaction. The study highlights the role of firm culture, time budget pressures, and individual values in shaping ethical behavior. Strategies such as adherence to ethical guidelines, client communication, and seeking guidance from superiors were noted as key to maintaining integrity. The research underscores the need for robust ethical frameworks and continuous training to support auditors in navigating ethical challenges effectively.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of profitability, institutional ownership, and dividend policy on the firm value of Indonesian companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Using a sample of companies from the manufacturing sector, the research examines how these financial variables influence the market value of firms. The study also explores the moderating role of tax planning and the relationship between dividend policies and firm profitability. The results indicate that profitability and institutional ownership have a significant positive effect on firm value, while dividend policy plays a crucial moderating role in enhancing firm value. Tax planning is also found to have a positive moderating effect on the relationship between profitability and firm value. These findings highlight the importance of maintaining a balance between profit distribution and retaining earnings for corporate growth. Abstract

A phenomenon that is currently widely discussed is the massive growth of digital creators who are actively sharing unique and popular da'wah concepts, primarily through Islamic animation. The objective of this study is to explore and analyze Islamic animated content on social media and identify the recurring themes found in these contents. The research team collected data by utilizing advanced search features and relevant keywords to locate content that met the specified criteria. Between June 2022 and June 2023, the research team evaluated a total of 5,000 pieces of content sourced from various virtual communities on Indonesia's prominent social media platforms, namely Instagram and YouTube. The first two rounds of evaluation focused on identifying qualitatively significant themes, while rounds 3 to 4 expanded on the initial findings for each social media platform. Employing the Netnography method for analysis, four distinct themes emerged from all Islamic animated content on social media: "Ustadz in Animation," "Life Advice," "Stories of Prophets and Apostles," and "Indonesian Muslim Children."

Abstract

Cahaya Kemilau is one of the UMKM craftsmen of Riau Malay songket weaving in Pekanbaru. Some of the partner problems in this activity consist of: 1) production equipment that is still inadequate to increase production output, 2) traditional recording system that allows human error and is difficult to control, 3) traditional marketing system so that it has not touched potential customers from out of town to abroad. Some of the solutions offered to partners to solve existing problems include: 1) Adding weaving equipment 2) Designing an Android-based sales system 9) Making digital marketing (websites, social media and e-commerce of light sheen). Through this activity, several problems that became a priority for Cahaya Kemilau in producing Riau Malay songket weaving and also expanding its market distribution have been resolved with the presence of weaving equipment assistance that has been provided to seek to increase weaving production. For digital-based sales, currently Tenun Cahaya Kemilau is able to do marketing throughout the archipelago and even from outside Indonesia through online sales of websites, shopee and Instagram. Management management has become even better with the existence of an Android-based sales system. Traditional financial records, which were originally very vulnerable to missing records and human errors, are now easier to manage and monitor properly by the management.

Abstract

This study examines how intranet quality affects the financial performance of Malaysian public universities, filling a crucial gap in understanding how internal digital infrastructure supports institutional sustainability. It highlights Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) as a mediating factor translating intranet quality into measurable performance results. A cross-sectional survey was conducted with 210 participants, including risk committees, internal auditors, and top management from 20 public universities in Malaysia. This study used purposive, stratified, and census sampling methods. Intranet quality was evaluated across six key areas: collaboration tools, risk management application, access to proper risk data, interaction in risk problem-solving, communication among the risk committee, and risk management controls. ERM implementation was measured using ISO 31000-aligned standards, while university financial performance was assessed through five income sources: research projects, consultancies, public and private funding, commercialisation, and program offerings. Covariance-based structural equation modelling (CB-SEM) was employed for analysis. Findings reveal that intranet quality significantly improves ERM implementation, positively impacting financial performance. ERM partially mediates this relationship, with more substantial indirect effects than direct ones. This study emphasises the strategic importance of digital infrastructure and risk governance in boosting institutional effectiveness. It proposes a socio-technical model that helps university leaders leverage intranet systems to enhance risk resilience and long-term financial sustainability.
