Abstract

Moringa or Kelor leaves, rich in nutrients and health benefits, are used in many culinary, supplement, and medicinal items. However, drying moringa leaves is a crucial step that impacts product quality. Companies must maintain product quality and production efficiency to meet rising demand. Since moringa leaf drying production management is difficult, this study uses the Framework for the Application System Thought (FAST) method. Its use in moringa drying allows thorough monitoring of temperature, humidity, drying duration, and other product quality factors. According to this research, using the FAST method in the moringa leaf drying production management monitoring application will help identify production issues, prevent product damage, and improve product quality. This research improves moringa production management and helps explain FAST method implementation in industrial process management. FAST is significant for monitoring applications because it can continually monitor all production conditions that affect drying moringa leaves. FAST can immediately detect dryer humidity issues. The FAST technique and moringa drying production management monitoring applications can be used to improve product quality, operational efficiency, and consumer safety in this research. Thus, this research gives tangible answers for the moringa processing business and can be applied to other industrial sectors facing comparable production process management issues.

Abstract

Indonesian deaf people utilize SIBI to communicate using spoken words, gestures, facial expressions, and body language. SIBI, certified for Special Schools (SLB), helps deaf pupils communicate. This project implements SIBI (Indonesian Sign Language System) a real-time detection algorithm at Sekolah Luar Biasa Negeri 1 Tabanan using image processing and YoloV8 ultralytics deep learning. The program trains a sign language gesture detection model on Google Colab's GPU. The SIBI sign language images were used to train a YoloV8 object detection model. The camera captures movements, which the YoloV8 algorithm trained on SIBI gesture data processes. It can recognize gestures in real time and generate text to non-sign language users. The dataset has 107 class vocabulary and 7 class affix prefixes for complete gesture recognition. Shirt color, room brightness, and webcam quality affect detection rates. Optimal detection accuracy is 87.74% and subpar 58.02%. Despite these limitations, the strategy helps deaf students communicate more effectively with non-sign language speakers. This program improves inclusivity and communication in schools, making learning easier for hearing-impaired pupils. This work provides a reliable and quick sign language identification system to help deaf educators and caregivers with daily interactions and education.

Abstract

The drying process of moringa leaves (Moringa oleifera) is necessary to reduce the moisture content so that the leaves become dry and can be utilized for the next processes. Drying moringa leaves to change the moisture content from 80% to 9.2% requires an ideal heating condition, as the heating rate must not damage the nutritional content present in the leaves. The utilization of ANN models can recognize seasonal time series data patterns. The introduction is categorized into several classifications. By using IoT, it is hoped that the drying conditions can be monitored. The system is also connected to a recommendation system using Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN), which will provide recommendations for the best conditions for moringa flour production. The Google Cloud Vision AI system suite combines artificial intelligence with other technologies to understand and analyze videos and easily integrate vision detection features into applications. These tools are available through APIs and can still be customized for specific needs. The Google Cloud Vision AI system suite combines artificial intelligence with other technologies to understand and analyze videos, as well as to easily integrate vision detection features into applications. These features include image labelling, face and structure detection, optical character recognition (OCR), and tagging of vulgar content. The test results found that the Vision AI system used has been tested to detect and classify moringa leaves, both in wet and dry conditions. The testing was conducted using a mobile-based Vision AI application and the Google Cloud Vision API. The results indicate that the system detects moringa leaves more as a plant.

Abstract

There are three nonparametric regression approaches, namely parametric, nonparametric, and semiparametric regression. Nonparametric regression allows the response variable to follow a different curve from one predictor variable to another. In paired data, the components of the predictor variables and response variables are assumed to follow unknown data patterns, so they can be approached with kernel-based regression models and Fourier series. The basic components are approached with kernel functions and Fourier series functions. Errors are assumed to be normally distributed with zero mean and constant variance. The originality of this research is to obtain a mixed kernel and Fourier series model estimator and then apply it to poverty data in Bali Province. The research stage method begins with a nonparametric regression model estimator based on kernel and Fourier series. The next step is to research the regression curve estimation and obtain lemmas and theorems. The results of the function estimation are highly dependent on the bandwidth, smoothing, and oscillation parameters. In the application to the case of real data, the resulting model gives an R2 value of 0.6278, meaning that the variables used can explain the model by 62.78 percent. From the modeling results obtained, the Open Unemployment Rate has a positive effect on the percentage of poor people in Bali.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the pH, determine the functional groups and determine the diameter of the inhibition zone of cream made from VCO. In this study, cream was made with 2 formulations, formula 1 with 15% VCO concentration and formula 2 with 20% VCO concentration. In making the cream, all the ingredients that will be used were weighed first. The oil phase (VCO, vaselin album, stearic acid, span 60, and propyl paraben) was heated to 70°C. The water phase (glycerin, methyl paraben, tween 80, and distilled water) was heated to 70°C. The water phase was gradually incorporated into the oil phase at 70°C. It was then homogenised at 2000 rpm for 15 minutes to cool. Both cream formulas were analysed for pH, functional groups and antibacterial activity.                                  The pH of VCO-based cream in formula 1 has an average pH value of 5.91 and formula 2 has an average pH value of 6.03, so each cream sample has an acidity level with a range of 4.5-6.5. The functional groups found in VCO-based cream formulas 1 and 2 are: C-H bending, C=C stretch (aliphatic and aromatic); C=N, C=O stretch (acids, aldehydes, ketones, amides, esters, anhydrides), CΞC stretch; CΞN, C-H stretch: CH3; CH2, Stretch C-H: C-H; C=C-H; Ar-H. In the range of numbers 3750 - 3000 cm-1 there are functional groups O-H; N-H. Waves 3000-1000 cm-1 have a sharp band shape and strong intensity. The wavenumber 3700-3100 cm-1 has a wide band shape and strong intensity. F2 cream has a larger inhibition zone diameter than F1 cream. The diameter of the inhibition zone of cream F2 is largest at a concentration of 10%, the greater the concentration the less the diameter of the inhibition zone.
