Abstract

Critical thinking processes are needed in solving problems. In this case, the critical thinking process consists of (1) recognizing the problem, (2) assessing relevant information, and (3) solving the problem/drawing conclusions. Based on this step, this research seeks to describe students' critical thinking processes in scientific work used by students to compete. The critical thinking process in competitive scientific work needs to be carried out so that students can create quality scientific work that is based on critical thinking in solving problems. This research uses a qualitative approach. This research data is in the form of sentences, sentence groups, paragraphs and complete texts which reflect students' critical thinking processes. Data was obtained from student scientific work that was competed outside campus. The research results show that in terms of the critical thinking process, students' scientific work can be categorized into four types, namely (1) scientific work which shows the three stages of the critical thinking process, namely the stages of recognizing problems, assessing relevant information, and solving problems/drawing out problems; (2) scientific work which only consists of the stage of recognizing problems and solving problems/drawing conclusions, (3) scientific work which consists of the stage of recognizing problems and assessing relevant information, and (4) scientific work which consists of the stage of recognizing information. Based on the research results, suggestions can be given to assist students in the critical thinking process so that scientific work is produced with in-depth and accurate discussion so that the scientific work written becomes quality scientific work for competition.

Abstract

Kegiatan proses pembelajaran pada peserta didik kelas X-2 SMA Negeri 1 Kepanjen memiliki kendala yakni kurangnya minat peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia sehingga berpengaruh pada tingkat keaktifan serta hasil belajar peserta didik di dalam kelas rendah. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mencari tahu apakah dengan diterapkannya model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) dengan cara diskusi kelompok dapat berpengaruh terhadap keaktifan, berpikir kritis, kreatif, serta hasil belajar peserta didik yang berkualitas dengan proses pembelajaran yang menyenangkan. Adapun jenis metode yang dipakai pada penelitian ini yaitu deskripsi kualitatif dengan memakai data kualitatif untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan tingkat keaktifan dan hasil belajar peserta didik selama proses pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di kelas. Penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT di kelas X-2 SMA Negeri 1 Kepanjen secara keseluruhan berjalan sesuai dengan prosedur dengan melihat bahwa siswa lebih aktif saat pembelajaran dengan model TGT.

Abstract

The Trenggalek people have a tradition that is used as local wisdom, namely the Nyadran Dam Bagong tradition which is very attached to its history. This tradition is used as a research object with a study focus on cultural history, pamali, and the function of its traditions. The theory used in this research is William R. Bascom's theory of function, namely as a form of entertainment, a means of validating cultural institutions and institutions, a tool for educating children, and a tool for coercion or supervision so that community norms are adhered to. The method in this research is qualitative descriptive research with an oral literature approach. The data sources in this research are the caretaker as informant, recordings and notes during the research and documents. The data in this research are the cultural history, pamali, and function of the Nyadran Dam Bagong tradition in Trenggalek Regency. Data collection in this research was carried out using observation and interview techniques. The data analysis used in this research is content analysis and descriptive analysis. The results obtained from this research are a description of the cultural history, pamali, and function of the Nyadran Dam Bagong tradition in Trenggalek Regency according to William R. Bascom's function theory, namely as a form of entertainment, a means of ratifying cultural institutions and institutions, a tool for children's education, and a tool coercor or supervisor so that community norms are adhered to.

Abstract

Karakter merupakan identitas bagi setiap individu yang terbentuk dari tingkah laku dan kerangka berpikir. Komponen penting yang harus ada pada diri peserta didik adalah pendidikan karakter. Pihak sekolah harus konsisten mendidik karakter peserta didik, sehinggapeserta didik lambat laun terbiasa dengan budaya disekolah yang diterapkan melalui program P5. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai pendidikan karakter berkebinekaan global, gotong royong dan kreatif, semangat kebangsaan berpikir dan bertindak, dan tanggung jawab pada peserta didik melalui program P5. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, untuk menentukan fakta dan menggambarkan objek yang diteliti. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah nilai pendidikan karakter pada peserta didik SMAN 1 Malangdalam projek P5 batik malangan , yaitu pendidikan karakter yang mengacu pada dimensi profil pelajar pancasila, diantaranya adalah dimensi berkebhinekaan global, gotong royong, kreatif, semangat kebangsaan berpikir dan bertindak, dan tanggung jawab.

Abstract

This research aims to explain the expressions of social criticism of contemporary society in the lyrics of the song Fstvlst album Hits Kitsch and to identify literary works as a medium for social criticism. The research method uses descriptive qualitative with library study data collection methods and content analysis techniques using Barthes' semiotic approach and literary sociology. The data used is an expression of social criticism that focuses on contemporary societal phenomena in Giddens' theory. The results show that in the lyrics of the song Fstvlst album Hits Kitsch there are 7 expressions of social criticism regarding inequality in social and economic structures, the growth of new values ​​that can eliminate ancestral values, and the loss of civic values ​​due to technological uncertainty and shows how literary works can be a tool to convey criticism and social transformation.

Abstract

Bojonegoro, as one of the regions in East Java, has a unique tradition, the ritual of taking fire, which is usually carried out when there is a big event in Bojonegoro City. This study aims to analyze the function and cultural value of the ritual of taking fire in Kayangan Api for the people of Bojonegoro. The function theory of William R. Bascom explains that literature has several functional values, namely, as a form of entertainment, a tool for the ratification of cultural institutions and institutions, education, and a tool of coercion. As well as Koentjaraningrat Value Theory. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews with key players, documentation, and notes during the event. This research shows that Kayangan Api, as a tourist attraction, has an entertainment function and social value in its story. Taking a fire is a tradition in Bojonegoro and a way to show local art. The stages of the procession of taking the fire start from the slametan the day before the taking of the fire and the taking of the fire by the locksmith, which is then relayed from the locksmith to the sub-district head which will later be given to the torch-carrying team to the pavilion in the square. Some values can be taken from the procession of taking the fire, namely social values that can be seen from the cooperation between the management of the fire garden and the culture and tourism office of the city of Bojonegoro who work together to prepare the event and from the story of the fire garden itself, besides that there are religious values found in the implementation of slametan as a form of gratitude and asking for safety during the event.

Abstract

To preserve the environment and culture, the people of Tawun Village in Ngawi Regency routinely carry out the Keduk Beji tradition once a year. This tradition is an annual ritual to clean Sendang Tawun, which aims to maintain ecological balance and prevent the emergence of disasters or plagues. The routine of the Tawun community in carrying out this tradition is based on the oral tradition of “the legend of Sendang Tawun” regarding the origin of Tawun Village. The existence of a tradition that is closely related to the environment has a significant impact on the ecological balance in Tawun Village. This study aims to (1) describe the correlation between Keduk Beji tradition and the legend of Sendang Tawun, (2) describe the procession of the Keduk Beji tradition, and (3) describe the implementation of deep ecology environmental ethics in the Keduk Beji tradition. This research is qualitative research with the object of study being the Keduk Beji oral tradition carried out in Tawun Village, Ngawi Regency. The method used in this study is ethnography, which provides a comprehensive understanding of the impact of implementing the Keduk Beji tradition. Data collection techniques are done through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The study results show that the Tawun community applies environmental ethics (principles of deep ecology), which are guided by the values ​​inherited from their ancestors. This study distinguishes between empirical reality in the form of cultural practices of the community in the Keduk Beji tradition and ideal values contained in the principles of deep ecology as a reference in environmental conservation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah penerapan model pembelajaran Game-Based Learning (GBL) dalam pembelajaran BIPA di tingkat sekolah menengah Thailand. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain lapangan yang menerapkan teknik observasi partisipatif sebagai metode pengumpulan data, serta objek penelitian ini adalah Sekolah Assalihiyah Pattani, Thailand. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui kegiatan pembelajaran model GBL, peserta didik mengikuti pembelajaran dengan menerapkan media permainan menghasilkan kegiatan yang menyenangkan dan menciptakan iklim pembelajaran yang baik. Pembelajaran GBL tersebut menghasilkan pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dan bermakna, yakni selain menyenangkan juga bermakna. Kegiatan pembelajaran juga berjalan dengan aktif sehingga meningkatkan komponen berpikir kritis dan kreatif pada peserta didik sesuai dengan pembelajaran tingkat tinggi atau high Ordinary Thinking Skill (HOTS). Kegiatan kerja sama antar peserta didik dan bagaimana cara mereka merekonstruksi materi yang telah diberikan kepada permainan yang disediakan juga terlibat secara aktif. Selain berkaitan dengan pendidikan, kegiatan pembelajaran ini juga memiliki manfaat pada internasionalisasi bahasa di mana model pembelajaran harus diperhatikan dengan seksama untuk lebih menarik minat pemelajar bahasa asing terhadap pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

Pondok Seni Batu is a community that accommodates most artists in Batu City, East Java. The existence of this community is strategic in the art ecosystem in Batu City. However, this community does not yet have a representative and publicly accessible platform related to its artists, even though the visibility of the artists' information can support the existence of the community and reach a wider audience. This community service is carried out with the aim of (1) expanding the reach of information in the form of a digital platform containing artist profiling and studio mapping to read the artistic laboratory at Pondok Seni Batu, (2) strengthening information management by mapping information systems, (3) profiling artists, studio mapping, and (4) maintaining the continuity of information availability by providing creative writing assistance to young members of the community. This service will produce a profile of Pondok Seni Batu artists and a map of studios in the community. The availability of an information platform containing the two things above can help Pondok Seni Batu for resource mapping, achieving public visibility and building stronger networks.

Abstract

Sifat dan sikap seorang pemimpin yang arif bijaksana terkadang tidak selaras dengan implementasinya. Kesatria dengan moral kepemimpinan dan kesetiaan yang selayaknya menjadi cerminan baik bagi rakyat dapat berbanding sebaliknya. Fokus penelitian ini untuk menganalisis novel Sinta Obong Karya Ardian Kresna dengan memanfaatkan differance dan oposisi biner teori dekonstruksi Jacques Derrida. Berbeda dengan pembacaan biasa yang mencari makna sebenarnya dari teks, pembacaan dekonstruktif berfokus pada menemukan ketidaktahuan atau kegagalan teks dalam menutup diri dengan makna atau kebenaran tunggal. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan teknik pustaka, baca, dan catat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan data berupa sifat-sifat Rama Wijaya yang bertolak belakang dengan jiwa pemimpin yang arif bijaksana serta pasangan yang setia, (1) narsisisme, (2) egois dan keras kepala, (3) menutup hak bersuara, (4) naif dan tidak berpendirian, (5) menodai kesetiaan, serta (6) angkuh dan kejam. Dari sifat-sifat tersebut dapat diketahui bahwa Rama Wijaya masih jauh dari sifat adi luhur seorang kesatria.
