Abstract

Received: Revised: Accepted: Keywords: Inquiry, Audio, Poetry This study discusses the effect of the inquiry method using audio media on the poetry writiing skills of grade VIII students of Madrasah Tsanaeiyah Idris Bintan academic year 2023/2024. The aim of this study was to describe the effect of the inquiry method using audio media on the poetry writing skills of grade VIII students of the Madrasah Tsanawiyah Idris Bintan academic year 2023/2024. The method used in this research is a quantitative method.This type of research is experimental research with a one group pretest posttest design.This population in this study were class VIII students at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah Idris Bintan academic year 2023/2024 class VIII, a total of 57 students. The variables in this study consisted of independent variables, namely the inquiry method using audio media and the dependent variable namely students poetry writing skills. Data collection was carried. This variables in this study consisted of independent variables, namely the inquiry method using audio media and the dependent variable namely students poetry writing skills. Data collection was carried out by giving an initial test or pretest and posttest or posttest. the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and non-parametric statistics with the help of the SPSS version 29 aplication. The results showed that average score was 73 in the pretest and 87 in the posttest. In the hypothesis testing using the wilcoxon tes, a sinificance value (2-tailed) was 0,001< 0,05, thus inquiry method using audio media has an effect on the poetry writing skills of grade VIII students of the Tanjungpinang state Madrasah Tsanawiyah Idris Bintan academic year 2023/2024.

Abstract

This research discusses the principles of cooperation in the film Keluarga Cemara 2. The aim of this research is to describe the principles of cooperation in the film Keluarga Cemara 2. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data in this research are in the form of words or sentences contained in the narrative of the film Keluarga Cemara 2. The data collection techniques used to obtain research data are free listening and note-taking techniques. The data analysis technique used is a content analysis technique by reading, analyzing, describing and concluding the content of the film Keluarga Cemara 2. The results of this research are conversational dialogues that contain the principle of cooperation which are categorized under the maxim of quantity if the dialogue contains information that meets the needs of the interlocutor and does not exceed the requested needs, the maxim of quality if the dialogue contains information that is believed to be correct and can be proven to be true, the maxim of manner if the dialogue is delivered in the correct way such as avoiding ambiguity, no ambiguity, no long-windedness, and orderly, relevant maxim if the dialogue contains information that is relevant to the context or situation being discussed.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the influence of the talking stick learning model on the ability to identify the content of descriptive text in class VIII of Batam 40 State Junior High School for the 2023/2024 academic year. The method used in this research is a quantitative descriptive method. Normality test provisions use the Kolmogrov-Smirnov formula. Judging from the significance of the pretest data, it is 0.001 < 0.05, so the data is not normally distributed. In the posttest results, the data had an abnormal distribution with a significance of 0.001 < 0.05. It was concluded that the data was not normally distributed, so non-parametric tests were used for hypothesis testing. After carrying out normality and homogeneity tests to see whether the data was influential or not, the researcher carried out a hypothesis test using the Wilcoxon test to obtain Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) amounts to 0.001. The test decision value is 0.001 < 0.05, then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. The conclusion of the research is that there is an influence of the talking stick model on the ability to identify the content of descriptive text of class VII students at State Junior High School 40 Batam for the 2023/2024 academic year. Based on the explanation above, it is concluded that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. The talking stick learning model can have an influence on increasing the ability to identify the content of descriptive text for class VII students.

Abstract

The research aims to describe the types of affixation errors formal spoken language in Rakyat Bersuara program during September 2024 which were uploaded on Official iNews YouTube channel. This Research is descriptive research using a qualitative approach. The object of this research is Rakyat Bersuara program during September 2024. This research employs a documentation technique supported by listening and note-taking techniques as its data collection methods. The data analysis techniques used in this research are data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The result of this research revealed that there were several types of affixation errors formal spoken language in Rakyat Bersuara program during September 2024, which were categorized as follows. 1) sounds that should have undergone phonetic changes did not experience changes, as in word form memposisikan, mensejahterakan, mempolopori, and mengkonfirmasi. These errors indicate non-compliance with the lenition rules for phonemes /p, s, dan k/ in the prefix meN-; 2) improper morpheme abbreviation, as in word form nyapres, ngerasain, ngelarang, and ngelaporin. These errors occur due to morpheme simplications that do not align with the standard rules of the Indonesian language; 3) incorrect affix usage, as in word form ketemu, kepancing, korelisasi, meuji, maksimalisasi, bekatakan, kebayang, and ketangkap. These errors result from improper affix usage causing shifts in meaning and the formation of non-standard words; and 4) improper determination of root words, as in word form memeningkatkan, rohaniawan, mengkesampingkan, penggeroyokan, berkesesuaian, menggendarai, and dikesampingkan. These errors involves the use of affixes that change the form of the basic word which is not in accordance with linguistic rules.

Abstract

The study discusses literary postmodernism contained in the literary work of in the novel We GO Today by Ziggy Zezsyazeoviennazabrizkie. The aim of this research is to describe the criticism of literary postmodernism in. in the novel We GO Today by Ziggy Zezsyazeoviennazabrizkie The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data in this study are in the form or words or sentences contained in the novel We Go Today by Ziggy Zezsyazeoviennazabrizkie. The data collection techniques used to obtain research data are note-taking and observing technique. The data analysis technique used is content analysis bt reading, analyzing, describing, and concluding the contents of the data found in the novel We GO Today by Ziggy Zezsyazeoviennazabrizkie. Theses data are found in quotations taken from narratives or dialogues between characters. The result of this study are that the are criticisms of literary postmodernism in the form oq 1) capitalism with various characteristics such as spontaneousness, fact, and gesture, 2) Parody with satire and irony, 3) reification with findings on the nature of social reality and cultural phnenomena.

Abstract

This research has the aim of developing a media for teaching the science of persuasion in persuasive text material for class VIII students of SMP Negeri 7 Tanjungpinang for the academic year 2022/2023. This study uses the 4D development model up to the development stage. The product developed in this study is a visual-based learning media with the basic ingredients of plywood and brown in color. This learning media has been assessed based on the assessment of two experts, namely media experts and material experts. The number of students in this media trial was 6 students for small groups and 36 students for large groups. Data collection techniques in this study, namely interviews, media validation questionnaires by media experts and material experts, as well as media practicality questionnaires by students. Data analysis techniques in this study were carried out using two techniques, namely descriptive qualitative and descriptive quantitative. The results of this study obtained an average of 93% with the criteria of "very valid" for the media, an average of 95% with the criteria of "very valid" for the material. In addition, this research was tested on students who obtained an average of 84% with the criteria of "very practical" by small groups and an average of 90% with the criteria of "very practical" by small groups.

Abstract

This study aims to see the relationship between critical reading skills and the ability to write news texts for Grade VIII students of Tanjungpinang 7 Public Middle School in the 2022/2023 academic year. This research method uses a quantitative approach with correlational research techniques. Data collection techniques using multiple choice objective tests and performance. The location of this research is in Tanjungpinang. The population in this study amounted to 448 students and the sample in this study amounted to 46 students. The results of the study: 1) from testing the data it was obtained that the students' critical reading proficiency had an average score of 64.97 with a total of 2989 with sufficient qualifications. 2) and proficiency in writing news texts has an average value of 81.34 with a total of 3742 good qualifications. 3) so, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between critical reading skills and the ability to write news texts for class VIII students of Tanjungpinang 7 Public Middle School in the Academic Year 2022/2023 with a result of 0.444 and the correlation value is in the interval 0.40-0.599 with the strength of the correlation relationship currently.

Abstract

Learning media can help teachers and students in the learning process in the classroom. This research is development research which aims to produce visual media. This research uses the PPE development model proposed by Rickey and Klein. The test subjects in this research were class The data collection techniques in this research consist of 2, namely validity (by media experts and material experts) and practicality (by small groups, large groups and Indonesian language teachers). The results of this research show that the assessment from media experts was 95%, material experts were 86%, small groups were 93.5%, large groups were 95.5% and Indonesian language teachers were 94%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran ARCER (Augmented Reality Short Story) pada materi teks cerita pendek untuk siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 4 Tanjungpinang tahun pelajaran 2023/2024. Jenis penelitian ini adalah R&D dan Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan 4D hingga tahap pengembangan. Produk yang dikembangkan pada penelitian ini adalah media pembelajaran berbasis digital yang akan dirancang dengan bantuan Assemblr EDU dan Canva. Media pembelajaran ini dinilai berdasarkan penilaian dua orang ahli yaitu ahli media dan ahli materi. Jumlah siswa pada uji coba media ini adalah 10 siswa untuk kelompok kecil dan 30 siswa untuk kelompok besar. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu wawancara, observasi, angket validasi media oleh ahli media dan ahli materi, serta angket kepraktisan media oleh siswa. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan dua teknik yaitu deskriptif kualitatif dan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 98% dengan kualifikasi “sangat valid” untuk media, nilai rata-rata sebesar 80% dengan kualifikasi “valid” untuk materi. Selain itu penelitian ini menguji kepraktisan media kepada siswa yang memperoleh skor rata-rata 78% dengan kualifikasi “valid” oleh kelompok kecil dan skor rata-rata 82% dengan kualifikasi “sangat valid” oleh kelompok besar.

Abstract

Based on these problems, it can be understood that innovation is needed regarding the important role of teaching materials in the form of e-modules to support learning activities in the classroom. The use of teaching materials can attract interest and arouse students' learning motivation. Not only the use of teaching materials, the learning approach can also be expected to be able to help teachers to handle students in their learning and students will be helped to better understand what is being conveyed by the teacher. The best learning approach to use is a contextual-based approach. The contextual approach is a learning approach that begins by taking, simulating, telling, having a dialogue, asking questions or discussing the daily life experienced by students, then bringing it into the concept that will be studied and discussed. Based on the validation results from media experts, it was declared "very valid" with a result of 81.3%. In addition, the material expert validation results were declared "very valid" with a result of 60%. And the linguist validation results were declared "very valid" with a result of 81%. And based on the results of the media practicality test on small groups of students, the stair slide learning media developed was declared "very practical" with a result of 83%. The results of the media practicality test for large groups of students were declared "very practical" with a result of 79%.
