Abstract

Autonomous vehicle merupakan moda transportasi masa depan yang menerapkan imageprocessing dan computer vision untuk pengenalan objek maupun kendali pada motor. Transportasiini dapat beroperasi sendiri sehingga kendaraan ini mengutamakan keamanan dalam berkendara.Jika pada kendaraan konvensional, sistem pengereman dikendalikan oleh pengendara. Namun, padakendaraan autonomous, sistem pengereman akan bekerja pada keadaan tertentu. Penelitian inimemodifikasi pengereman mekanik yang ada pada kendaraan autonomous agar dapat bekerja secarasemi otomatis dengan menggunakan aktuator pneumatik silinder berukuran 50x50mm. Selain itu,penelitian ini juga menggunakan sensor warna pixycam dan micro lidar vl53l0x sebagai input padamikrokontroller arduino. Input pada mikrokontroller arduino ini menjadi parameter perintah untukmengaktifkan selenoid valve agar udara bertekenan dapat menggerakkan pneumatik silinder. Hasildari penelitian ini adalah pemakaian silinder pneumatik berukuran 50x50mm dapat menarik pedalrem pada sarana autonomous dengan tangki udara bervolume 0,16m3 dan tekanan sebesar 6 bar.

Abstract

Tujuan dari pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kopetensi pada penjaga palang pintu perlintasan sebidang kereta api ketika terjadi kondisi darurat (palang pintu tidak normal). Kegiatan pelatihan ini dilaksanakan secara langsung dengan memberikan pelatihan dasar secara teoritis, konsep dan prosedur penanganan kondisi darurat sesuai dengan petunjuk dari modul yang telah dipersiapkan. Untuk meningkatkan keterampilan, selanjutnya dilaksanakan simulasi secara langsung di lapangan. Hasil dari pelaksanaan simulasi pada kondisi darurat pada pintu perlintasan sebidang ini dapat meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan terhadap petugas penjaga pintu perlintasan sebidang di JPL 01 Madiun.

Abstract

This study aims to understand and determine how effective the addition of NaCl in the quenching surface treatment media for the UIC R54 railroad. This study applies a method that refers to the theory of surface treatment. First, the surface treatment process is carried out on the surface of the rail specimen. The cooling medium used in the surface treatment process is a mixture of NaCl of 200-800gr NaCl at intervals of 200gr with 1000ml of water. Furthermore, observations of the microstructure and measurement of the hardness value on the surface of the rail specimen were carried out. The average hardness value for raw material specimens is 283.52 BHN. The highest hardness value in specimens that have been surface treated is 346.36 BHN in the treatment of adding 60% NaCl to the quenching medium. In raw material specimens, the phase formed is dominated by ferrite and pearlite. Meanwhile, the phase formed after the surface treatment process is martensite. From these results it can be concluded that a mixture of 60% NaCl with water used as a cooling medium is effective in increasing the hardness value of the rail.

Abstract

In the topology of the DC traction substation there is a rectifier component which generally uses a 12 pulse rectifier type and the load is in the form of a trainset with a component in the form of a converter used for variable speed drives (VSD). The operation of the rectifier and the VSD converter load causes harmonics to appear on the AC input side, so anticipation needs to be done. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct an assessment related to DC traction substations to obtain good electrical power quality. The purpose of this study was to determine the electric power quality parameters of DC railway traction using a 12 pulse rectifier and a VSD converter load. This research was conducted by simulating a DC railway traction model with a 12 pulse rectifier and knowing the comparison of the system power quality between the VSD converter load and the resistive load as the basic reference for the traction substation work system of this model. System modeling is done using PSIM software. The results of the simulation are the parameters of the stability of the voltage, current, and system harmonics.

Abstract

Efficiency, comfort, speed and timeliness are the main factors humans need in mobilisation and transportation. In providing a theoretical basis and technical reference for the quality improvement of high-speed railways in Indonesia, this study comprehensively discusses the theory of geometrical design of high-speed railway tracks and the calculation of excavation and embankment volumes. By using Minister of Transportation regulations Number 7 of 2022 and TB 10621-2014, which contains technical planning for high-speed railway tracks, an alternative route is planned across Bandung to Cirebon Phase I (Rancaekek-Cimalaka) with an operating speed of 350 km/hour, there are 5 horizontal curves and 16 vertical curves calculated using TB 10621-2014 and AutoCAD Civil 3D software. The results obtained from this study are alternative planning of the high-speed railway route along 33,850 meters from Bandung to Cirebon Phase I (Rancaekek- Cimalaka).

Abstract

The study aimed to determine the tensile and impact strength characteristics of the banana steam fiber (BSF)-polyester composite modified with NaOH treatment. The composites were made using the hand lay-up method, varying the length of the BSF fibers to 10 mm, 20 mm, and 30 mm. The fiber was modified by giving 2% NaOH for 1 day to improve the mechanical properties of the composite. The tensile strength tests were carried out using ASTM D638 standards. While impact tests were carried out using ASTM D6110 standards. The test showed the highest average tensile strength value at 30 mm fiber length, for 37.78 MPa. Meanwhile, the lowest value at 10 fiber length was 31.87 MPa. For the impact test, the highest average value was at 10 mm fiber length, for 0.016 J/mm2. And, the lowest value was at 30 mm fiber length variation, for 0.010 J/mm2. Fiber length has no significant effect on the flexural strength of the BSF composite.

Abstract

This article is a literature review of several studies oriented toward the treatment of natural fiber to improve the surface morphology and tensile strength of the fiber. The method used is to review several studies that describe the physical and mechanical properties of natural fiber with different treatments such as immersion of sago fiber in liquid smoke, coconut fiber in NaOH, palm fiber in seawater, and smoking of king pineapple fiber, and banana stem fiber with liquid smoke. The results of the review showed that the treatment was able to increase the tensile strength of sago fiber by 26.77%, coconut fiber by 81.25%, palm fiber by 67.40%, waru bark fiber by 59,97%, coconut fiber with limestone water 34,96 %, king pineapple fiber by 74.45%, and banana stem fiber by 43.78%. The effect of some of these treatments can also change the morphology of the fiber. So, it was concluded that treatment was needed to change the physical properties of the fiber in the form of morphology and mechanical properties in the form of better fiber tensile strength so that the fiber used as a composite reinforcement could improve the mechanical properties of the composite.

Abstract

Crashworthiness is a passive device that has an important function as an absorbing component of the impact energy resulting from an accidental event. The main problem in the crashworthy design is the dimensional limitation on the front end of the vehicle with the driver so that most of the energy absorption is limited. Besides, the complexity of crashworthiness design is difficult to make conventionally. This research aims to find out the effectiveness of crashworthiness design in energy absorption and the resulting deformation patterns. Crashwortines are made in a multi-cell shape using PLA material and printed using a 3D printing raise machine. Crashworthiness is produced with four variation shapes of a Multi-cell circle (MCC), Multi-Cell square (MCS), Multicell pentagonal (MCP), and Multi-Cell pentagonal circles (MCPC) with a side thickness of 2 mm and a length of 150 mm. Experimental quasi-static testing is carried out in the frontal direction using a UTM machine at an operating speed of 2mm/s. The results of the study show that the design of the crash box of the pentagon circle has a significant increase in the energy absorption value of 62.49%, which can be recommended in future impact resistance tube designs. The characteristics of the deformation pattern and the failure resulting from the crashworthiness tend to form the pattern of the bending lamina failure. Failures can occur due to plastic fold, elastic bend, and pressure deformation mechanisms followed by new folding formations (lobes).

Abstract

Public service is an activity conducted to fulfill service needs in accordance with applicable regulations. Public services are intended for every user of the available service. The enhancement of public services is directed towards individuals with disabilities. A wheelchair lift is an assistive device used to facilitate individuals with disabilities who use wheelchairs to board and disembark from trains at low or moderate platforms. This device operates by lifting wheelchair users with disabilities without requiring manual assistance from human personnel. The design and construction of this device are developed by considering both mechanical and electrical aspects, ensuring it can be operated easily, reliably, efficiently, and capable of lifting a load of up to 117 kg. The utilization of this device can help reduce the risk of injuries for wheelchair-using individuals with disabilities when boarding and disembarking from trains. ABSTRAK Pelayanan publik merupakan kegiatan yang dilakukan dalam rangka pemenuhan kebutuhan pelayanan sesuai dengan peraturan yang berlaku. Pelayanan publik diperuntukan bagi setiap pengguna jasa pelayanan yang ada. Peningkatan pelayanan publik ditujukan untuk penyandang disabilitas. Wheelchair lift merupakan suatu alat bantu yang digunakan untuk memudahkan penyandang disabilitas pengguna kursi roda untuk naik turun kereta pada peron rendah maupun sedang. Alat ini bekerja dengan mengangkat penyandang disabilitas pengguna kursi roda tanpa harus diangkat manual oleh tenaga manusia. Rancang bangun alat ini dibuat dengan mempertimbangkan desain secara mekanikal maupun elektrikal sehingga dapat dioperasikan secara mudah, handal dan efisien serta mampu mengangkat beban 117 kg. Penggunaan alat ini dapat membantu mengurangi risiko cidera bagi penyandang disabilitas pengguna kursi roda pada saat naik turun kereta.

Abstract

Sosialisasi keselamatan menjadi penting untuk meningkatkan kesadaran mereka tentang potensi bahaya dan pentingnya mengikuti aturan keselamatan. Masyarakat mulai mengalami kemandirian dalam mobilitas mereka. Oleh karena itu, penting pihak berwenang untuk menekankan keselamatan masyarakat di perlintasan kereta api agar mereka dapat berperilaku dengan bijaksana dan bertanggung jawab saat berada di sekitar jalur kereta. Sebelum melakukan Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat, akan diadakan survei ke sekolah / lembaga tentang pemahaman keselamatan perkeretaapian. Survei dilakukan 2 tahap, disaat sebelum dan sesudah melakukan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat. Ada beberapa poin dalam penyampaian materi di sosialisasi ini yaitu : dasar hukum perlintasan sebidang kereta api, pemahaman rambu-rambu yang ada di perlintasan sebidang kereta api, tata cara berlalu lintas yang benar di perlintasan sebidang kereta api dan sanksi hukum bagi pelanggar aturan berlalu lintas di perlintasan sebidang kereta api. Secara umum, terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman dan kesadaran masyarakat terkait aspek-aspek tertentu di sekitar perlintasan sebidang kereta api setelah pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat. Peningkatan ini dapat dianggap sebagai hasil positif dari upaya edukasi yang dilakukan
