Abstract

Learning folk poetry in Indonesian subjects has its own challenges, especially in instilling a deep understanding to students. This study aims to explore the utilization of local wisdom-based digital media in improving students' understanding of folk poetry. Using a qualitative research approach with a case study method, this research was conducted at SMP Negeri 4 Sesean Satap involving teachers and students as the main participants. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and analysis of learning documents. The results show that the use of digital media that integrates local cultural elements, such as audio-visual folk poetry and interactive applications, can increase students' engagement and understanding in learning. Students find it easier to interpret the meaning of folk poetry when the material is presented through more contextual and interesting media. In addition, teachers also benefit in delivering the material more effectively. The conclusion of this study confirms that the utilization of digital media based on local wisdom can be an innovative solution in learning folk poetry. The implication of this research leads to the development of learning media that is more adaptive and in accordance with the needs of students in areas with high cultural wealth.

Abstract

Teachers have a strategic role in improving the quality of education, especially in developing professional competencies that include mastery of material, learning strategies, and utilization of educational technology. This study aims to analyze the effect of educational technology implementation on improving teachers' professional competence in order to improve the quality of education in Mamasa district. This research uses a mixed methods approach, where qualitative methods are used to describe the implementation of educational technology in the learning process, while quantitative methods are used to analyze the relationship between teachers' professional competence and student achievement through data presented in the form of numbers and tables. The results show that teachers who implement educational technology in learning tend to have more effective teaching methods, increase student engagement and contribute to improved learning outcomes. However, there are still constraints in teachers' access to technology and digital literacy that need further attention. With continuous training and mentoring, the implementation of education technology can be a solution to improve teachers' professional competence and the overall quality of education in Mamasa district.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan memahami implementasi Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS) dan kunjungan perpustakaan sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan minat membaca siswa di SDN 15 Buntu Pepasan, Kabupaten Toraja Utara. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini mengumpulkan data melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Partisipan penelitian terdiri dari kepala sekolah, guru dan pustakawan sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan program GLS yang terstruktur dan intensif, dikombinasikan dengan kunjungan rutin ke perpustakaan dengan rasio 60-70% peserta didik yang berkunjung dan berkontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan minat membaca siswa. Faktor-faktor yang mendukung implementasi ini meliputi dukungan penuh dari pihak sekolah, ketersediaan bahan bacaan yang bervariasi dan menarik, serta pelaksanaan kegiatan literasi yang interaktif dan menyenangkan. Selain itu, kendala yang dihadapi dalam pelaksanaan program ini mencakup keterbatasan waktu, kurangnya sumber daya, dan tantangan dalam mempertahankan konsistensi program. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan berharga bagi pengembangan strategi literasi di sekolah-sekolah dasar dan menyarankan pentingnya kolaborasi antara semua pemangku kepentingan untuk menciptakan budaya membaca yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Local content learning in primary schools is very important. However, conditions during the COVID-19 pandemic require learning to be carried out from home. The purpose of this study is to design a local content learning model for Toraja Tallulolona culture in elementary schools based on constructivist networks. This research applies a qualitative descriptive method. Data obtained by means of (1) carry out learning in class V SD Kr Makale 1, (2) observing the implementation of local content learning Toraja Tallulolona Culture in the network, (3) do FGD. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively (1) identify learning components, (2) discussion of learning components, (3) drafting a learning model, (4) describes a learning model in the Constructivistic-based Toraja Tallulolona cultural local content network. The learning model designed, increases the learning motivation of Class V SD Kr. Makale V.
