Abstract

The Pemenang-Bayan I road widening project in North Lombok Regency is part of the government's initiative to improve transportation infrastructure to support local economic growth and facilitate community mobilization. One of the biggest cost components in infrastructure projects is the operational cost of heavy equipment. In the implementation of this project, contractors have two alternatives in meeting the needs of heavy equipment, namely using their own heavy equipment or renting from a third party. This study aims to analyze the comparison between the operating costs of own heavy equipment and the cost of renting heavy equipment, focusing on two main types of heavy equipment, namely excavators and vibro compactors. This study uses interview techniques to collect analysis data. Data analysis was carried out to obtain a comparison of operational costs between the use of own equipment and equipment rental. Based on the calculation of total operational costs for earthworks in segment one (STA 0+00 - STA 1+185) of the Pemenang-Bayan I Road Widening Project, the use of self-owned heavy equipment is more economical for excavators, where the use of self-owned equipment can save operational costs of around 13.5% (Rp.2 .891,170.00 to Rp.4,336,755.00) compared to rental equipment from Cv Prayoga and save about 26% (Rp.6,723,932.00 to Rp.10,085,899.00) when compared to rental equipment from PT Trakindo Utama. As for the Vibro Compactor , the use of rental equipment is more economical than the use of self-owned equipment, which saves about 2.5% (Rp.73,479.00 to Rp.110,219.00) of the total operational cost.

Abstract

Dr. Sudjono Road is a National Road in Mataram City which is included in the collector road class, which connects various activity centers, such as educational activities, offices, economy and others. This causes the traffic flow to increase, which has an impact on traffic speed and density. This study aims to analyze the relationship between three parameters, namely volume (Q), speed (V) and density (D) of traffic according to existing conditions and find out the model that best suits the road. In analyzing the mathematical relationship between the three main variables of traffic flow, the Greenshield, Greenberg, Underwood and Bell models were used. The results show that the most suitable model is the Greenshield model compared to the other three models. So from the Greenshield model, the relationship between volume (Q), speed (V) and density (D) is obtained for the Jalan Dr. Sudjono from the East direction obtained: (Vs-D): Vs= 47.263 - 0.613× D, (Q-D): Q= 47.263 ×D-0.613×D^2, (Q-Vs): Q= 77.074×Vs–1.631×Vs2 and from the West direction obtained: (Vs-D): Vs= 56.398 - 0.846×D, (Q-D): Q=56.398 ×D-0.846×D2, (Q-Vs): Q= 66.627×Vs-1.181×Vs2. Based on a model that is suitable for Jalan Dr. Sudjono, namely the Greenshield model, the traffic flow characteristics from the East are obtained: (Qm) = 910,694 pcu/hour, maximum speed (Vm)=23,632 km/h, maximum density (Dm) = 93,624 pcu/km, free flow speed (Vsff) = 47,263 km/h and density during traffic jams (Dj) = 77,074 pcu/km and from the west it is obtained: (Qm)= 939,403 pcu/hour, (Vm) = 28,199 km/hour, (Dm) = 33,313 pcu/km, (Vsff) = 56,398 km/hour and (Dj) = 66,627 pcu/km.

Abstract

One of the intersections in Mataram City that uses Yellow Box Junction markings is at Simpang Empat Tanah Aji, which is a point prone to traffic jams in Mataram City due to its role as an access road to the center of community activities. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the intersection performance at Tanah Aji Intersection Four due to Yellow Box Junction markings based on PKJI 2023, determine the percentage of violations of Yellow Box Junction markings, determine the percentage level of public understanding of Yellow Box Junction markings and determine whether the Yellow Box Junction markings at Tanah Aji Intersection Four are in accordance with Ministerial Regulation No. 34 of 2014. From the results of the intersection performance analysis, the DJ = 2.81 value is obtained for existing traffic conditions and DJ = 2.79 for traffic conditions due to the Yellow Box Junction markings. Based on PKJI 2023, the value of DJ> 0.85 indicates poor performance due to the traffic flow at the intersection approaching its saturation flow so that it can be judged that the Yellow Box Junction markings at the Tanah Aji Four Intersection cannot improve intersection performance. From the observation of violations, the percentage of violators is 13.82% with the percentage of motorcycle violators 11.36%, passenger cars 2.39%, and heavy vehicles 0.07%. From the results of the online questionnaire, the level of public understanding of the placement of markings at the Tanah Aji Four Intersection is 84.25%, definition 50.5%, function 49.75%, how to use 45.75%, and legal aspects 16.75%. There were also 44% of people who stated that they had violated and 67% of people considered these markings effective in overcoming congestion. From the results of observations and measurements related to the suitability of the markings to Ministerial Regulation No. 34 of 2014, the results obtained are not suitable for a straight line width of 30 cm because it exceeds the applicable provisions and there is also the center of the markings covered by a new layer of pavement.

Abstract

Congestion is a traffic problem that must be given attention so as not to have a negative impact on road users. One of the congestion points that occurred in West Lombok Regency was the Labuapi Workshop Unsignalized Intersection. The PTV VISSIM student version application was used to model and analyze the Labuapi Workshop Unsignalized Intersection. The data used were primary and secondary data, such as traffic volume, speed, delays, and queue opportunities. The results of the analysis showed that it was in accordance with the standards of PM No. 96 of 2015. The existing condition of the Unsignalized Intersection of the workshop has a service level of E as evidenced by the average delay value (D) of 53.905 seconds/vehicle, average queue length (QL) of 39.134 meters, average carbon monoxide (CO) emissions of 161.956 grams and average fuel consumption of 8.765 liters. Therefore, 4 alternatives were made, namely alternative 1 4-phase planning, alternative 2 3-phase planning, alternative 3 2-phase planning, and alternative 4 road widening without APILL (Traffic Signaling Device). Of the 4 alternatives, the alternative of road widening without APILL is the best with a service level of D, an average delay value (D) of 29.912 seconds/vehicle, an average queue length (QL) of 12.767 m, an average carbon monoxide (CO) emission of 125.596 grams and an average fuel consumption of 6.801 liters.

Abstract

Currently, traffic conditions are certainly quite significantly different when compared to traffic conditions when the MKJI 1997 was created, which was almost 28 years old. The rural roads, the characteristics of traffic flow today with flat, hilly and mountain alignment types are certainly different from 28 years ago, which makes the pce value in the 1997 MKJI also different, where this pce is used to convert traffic flow so that the unit which was originally vehicles/hour becomes pcu/hour. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research on Jalan H. Mansur, Pusuk which is rural road with a hill alignment type because it has a gradient of 11.34%, with a 2/2 UD road type. The purpose is to find out the pce value using the Time Headway method and then compare it with the pce value of MKJI 1997. The results obtained are differences in the pce value with this method and the pce value listed in MKJI 1997. With the Time Headway method, the pce value for MC is 0.84, MHV 1.30, and pce LT is 1.34. So with the time headway method, the pce for MC is greater than that of MKJI 1997, while for MHV and LT the pce value is smaller than MKJI 1997

Abstract

Procurement of heavy equipment requires precise analysis to avoid financial losses. Losses are usually caused by the continued use of equipment condition and value have decreased. Ignorance of the decreasing value of the equipment becomes an obstacle when submitting a tender when the latest equipment price information is needed. Heavy equipment or all goods with economic value will have a decrease in economic value. This decrease in is called depreciation. Calculating the depreciation value is very important for future calculations to avoid losses and to determine the value of the equipment after use or within a certain period. This study analyzes equipment after the construction of the Mandalika 2 Bypass Road project. In this depreciation value analysis, the method used is the straight-line method using qualitative and quantitative data. The results of this study are shown in numerical form the depreciation that occurs will be higher if the equipment is in poor condition and will produce a lower value if the equipment is in good condition. The cost of equipment after a project is highly dependent on the depreciation value of the equipment. The higher the depreciation, the lower the price. If the depreciation value is calculated based on operational costs, it will be even higher.

Abstract

The Gajah Mada road segmen in Mataram City has high activity, as well as high side obstacles. These side frictions include parked vehicles, pedestrians, non-motorized vehicles and vehicles exiting/entering. The number of side frictions will certainly affect the speed and volume of traffic moving on the undivided road with 2 lanes in 2 directions and 4 lanes in 2 directions on Gajah Mada road section. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct a study aimed at analyzing the effect of side frictions on traffic speed and volume using the MKJI 1997 method. The results of the analysis show that the highest side obstacles occur on the 2/2UD type road on Monday at 07.00-08.00 at 232.5 events /hour with the highest traffic volume of 3314.85 pcu/hour and the highest space mean speed on the 2/2UD type occurs on Saturday at 13.00-14.00 at 32,310 km/hour. Simultaneously and partially (parked vehicles, pedestrians, non-motorized vehicles and vehicles entering/exiting from the side of the road), a very strong influence was obtained between side friction and traffic speed and volume because the dominant correlation coefficient (R) was greater than 0.9 (R > 0.9) on road types 2/2UD and 4/2UD

Abstract

Altura Housing is located on Jalan Raya Mambalan, Gunug Sari District, West Lombok Regency, with coordinates -8°55'02.36‘S and 116°130'29’E. Benchmark point + 38. The housing area is a potential rice field area. The topography of the housing area is terraced with sandy loam and clay soil types. The analysis aims to determine the flood height in the housing drainage channels according to the flow direction and the Altura Housing Site Plant. The Altura Housing Complex does not yet have a safe point against flooding, whether caused by very high rainfall intensity or flooding originating from the Rainfall Catchment Area (ADT). Therefore, an analysis of the Housing Complex flood level with a 2-year return period using the Sherman Method is required. The results of the analysis of the two-year return period flood discharge using the Sherman method obtained a Q2Th of 0.878 m3/sec with a maximum rainfall intensity of 175.521 mm/hour and a drying duration of 10 minutes. And the channel construction material was designed using Yudith K225 concrete. The analysis results obtained a primary Yudith base width (B) of 1 metre, a secondary B of 0.8 metres and a tertiary B of 0.5 metres, an average slope of 0.002, a water velocity of 0.777 m/sec, and a water level in the primary channel of 0.4 m. The flood level or flood water elevation (EMAB) of the primary channel is +35.80, the secondary channel is +36.10, and the tertiary channel is +36.60. Therefore, it can be recommended that the Altura Housing Complex is safe from flooding

Abstract

Indonesia has significant potential for natural asphalt derived from Buton Island, Southeast Sulawesi, known as Asbuton. One product developed from its utilization is Cold Paving Hot Mix Asbuton (CPHMA), which can serve as a road surface layer and offers the advantage of low-temperature compaction. However, the performance of CPHMA mixtures is strongly influenced by compaction temperature and the use of additives. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the effect of variations in compaction temperature and the addition of Portland cement on the volumetric and mechanical characteristics of CPHMA mixtures. The research was conducted at the Highway Laboratory, Civil Engineering Study Program, Mataram University. Variations included compaction temperatures of 30°C, 90°C, and 150°C, and Portland cement contents of 0%, 7%, 8%, and 9%. Tests performed consisted of sieve analysis, aggregate density, aggregate impact value, and evaluation of volumetric (VMA, VIM, VFB) and mechanical characteristics using the Marshall method. The results indicated that compaction temperature significantly affected mixture performance, where higher temperatures produced denser and more stable mixtures. The addition of Portland cement also enhanced bond strength. The optimum condition was achieved at 150°C with 8% cement content, providing the best balance between volumetric properties and mechanical performance.
