Abstract

The phenomenon of fluency in speaking both among the public and students has an important role in building interaction and society so that it can work well with the other person speaking. The aim of the research is to find out the transcribed utterances that contain figurative language based on Gorys Keraf's theory in several speeches by Nadiem Makarim as Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology. The benefits of this research can increase vocabulary in speaking, especially in speeches. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The data source used is the transcript of Nadiem Makarimm's speech as Minister of Education and Culture. The data collection methods in this study were (1) observing video speeches and reading the results of speech transcripts, (2) marking things that show Gorys Keraf's style of language.The results of the research show that the language style used shows all forms of language style in theory and is dominated by metaphorical language style. The results of this study become recommendations for teaching materials in learning Persuasive Speech Text in Junior High Schools. Teaching materials are packaged with computer-based multimedia and interactive videos.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai moral dalam drama Sinetron Nurbaya di akun YouTube Indonesia Kaya. Dengan menggunakan teori Nurgiyantoro dalam menganalisis nilai-nilai moralnya. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, sehingga hasil penelitian ini berupa gambaran nilai-nilai moral dalam drama Serial Musik Nurbaya. Peneliti juga menggunakan teknik dokumentasi berupa kegiatan mendengarkan dan mencatat dalam pengumpulan data. Kemudian gunakan teknik analisis isi untuk mengidentifikasi data yang diperoleh sebelumnya. Dari hasil penelitian, drama Sinetron Nurbaya teridentifikasi memiliki dua aspek nilai moral, yaitu hubungan antara manusia dengan dirinya sendiri dan hubungan antara manusia dengan sesamanya. Dalam aspek hubungan manusia dengan diri sendiri, terdapat salah satu indikatornya yaitu tegas pada pendirian. Dalam aspek hubungan antara manusia dengan sesamanya terdapat dua indikator yaitu bersikap santun dan santun, dan membantu sesama.

Abstract

This study examines the process of the drama staging project "Jalan Asmarandana" adapted from the short story by Kuntowijoyo. The research problem concerns, how can drama become a tool for social conflict management? as for the object of analysis in the form of process data for the drama staging project "Jalan Asmarandana" by students in the fifth semester of the 2018 academic year, the Indonesian Language and Literature Education study program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Singaperbangsa Karawang. The theory used in analyzing the data is Dorothy Heathcote's theory, as a theory of conflict resolution approach, namely as-if experience, reflection, and negotiation. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. The results of the research students might feel like they are someone else with the as-if experience training project, and it has been offered multiple views on an issue encountered by students through the roles they play. Reflection teaches us that life is a sequence of experiences tinted by life's issues at all times. Drama is a reflection of life. Finally, negotiation training gives students indirect experience with how to communicate, collaborate, and discuss with a group, particularly the drama production team.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form of language style in Nama dan Makna: Four Poetry Collections by Ajip Rosidi and its recommendation as a teaching module for poetry texts in high school. The method used in this research is descriptive method with qualitative data analysis. The stages of data analysis used in this study, researchers determine or examine the object of research that has been collected in the form of poetry texts, then analysed using stylistic analysis which focuses on finding and knowing the use of language styles used.The results of this study, in the poem Nama dan Makna: Four Collection of Poems by Ajip Rosidi, there are comparison language style, opposition language style, linking language style, and repetition language style. In the poem, the use of paralipsis language style is more dominant.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the character education values in the novel Dompet Ayah Sepatu Ibu by J.S. Khairen and compile the research results of the novel Dompet Ayah Sepatu Ibu as a high school literature teaching module. The research used descriptive qualitative method. The data collection technique is by means of simak catat to collect data from quotations in the novel. In this research, the data analysis used is descriptive content analysis technique. The results of the study contain three components that cover the good components of Thomas Lickona which include moral knowledge, moral feelings, and moral action.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fleksibilitas cerpen sebagai bahan ajar untuk menganalisis gaya bahasa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gaya bahasa yang terdapat dalam antologi cerpen “lipatan corona” karya Dini Ferdianti. Penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif sebagai pendektannya. Subjek pada penelitian ini merupakan kumpulan cerpen “lipatan corona”. Objek penelitian adalah gaya bahasa yang terdapat dalam cerpen “lipatan corona”. Data diperoleh dengan simak, catat dan Teknik analisis data berupa mencari sumber data, mencermati dan menentukan fokus yang akan diteliti. Mengelompokkan dan mendeskripsikan hasil analisis gaya bahasa yang terdapat dalam kumpulan cerpen kemudian menyimpulkan. Hasil penelitian yaitu Gaya Bahasa Alusi, Sarkasme, Personifikasi, Hiperbola, Erostesis, Eufimisme, Antithesis, Epitet, dan Metafora.Kata Kunci: Stilistika, Antologi Cerpen, Lipatan Corona dan Dini Ferdianti

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh urgensi peran hawa nafsu dan naluri tokoh “aku” dalam novel Hidup Ini Brengsek dan Aku Dipaksa Menikmatinya karya Puthut EA dan Gindring Waste yang sangat liar dan luas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran id, ego dan superego tokoh “aku” yang terdapat dalam novel Hidup Ini Brengsek dan Aku Dipaksa Menikmatinya. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskriptif. Penelitian ini akan menjadikan novel Hidup Ini Brengsek dan Aku Dipaksa Menikmatinya sebagai subjek penelitian. Data penelitian ini berupa id, ego, dan superego yang terdapat dalam novel tersebut. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan terdapat pengaruh id, ego, dan superego terhadap perilaku sehari-hari tokoh “aku” dalam novel tersebut. Kondisi psikologi tokoh “aku” sebagai tokoh utama dipengaruhi oleh kondisi sosial masyarakat sekitar. Naluri tokoh “aku” cenderung kasar dan bebas sehingga dapat memproyeksikan kepuasan nafsu yang begitu tidak terduga. Sejalan dengan bertambahnya usia, tokoh “aku” lebih bijak untuk memilih, seperti yang ditampilkan oleh ego dan superego.Kata Kunci: Novel, Tokoh “aku”, Psikologi Sastra dan Sigmund Freud.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the inside outside circle (IOC) learning model on the skills of writing biographical text content for class X SMA Telukjambe Timur students. The research approach used in this research is a quantitative approach, with a research design, namely a quasi experimental design in the form of a nonequivalent control group design. The sampling technique used in this research is nonprobability sampling with purposive sampling. This sampling technique was used based on the researcher's considerations. The samples chosen were class X Science 2 as the experimental class and class X Science 3 as the control class. The instruments used in this research are observation, tests and documentation. Data analysis used in this research is by carrying out normality tests, influence tests and hypothesis tests. The results of this research show that there is a significant influence in the use of the IOC learning model on students' biographical text writing skills. This can be seen from the average value of the experimental class which is higher than the control class. The average pretest score for students in the experimental class was 55.83 which increased to 80.42 in the posttest. The conclusion of this research is that the IOC learning model is effectively used to improve students' biographical text writing skills. Abstract

This research aims to describe (1) the form of linguistic style in Rossa's song lyrics in the album Another Journey: The Beginning; (2) The research results are used as open material in class X high school. The theory that researchers use in this discussion is the theory of language styles according to Tarigan (2013). The subject of this research is the song lyrics on the album Another Journey: The Beginning. The researchers took the data for this research from Rossa's song lyrics on the album Another Journey: The Beginning, which consists of 10 songs. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis. The data collection techniques used were observation, close observation techniques and literature study. This research uses three stages of the data analysis process, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. Based on the results of data analysis, there are 80 language styles in Rossa's song lyrics on the album Another Journey: The Beginning.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the denotative meaning and connotative meaning in fourteen poetry titles in the poetry anthology Kopi Kehidupan by Mr. Sae. This research uses qualitative research type with a qualitative descriptive method. The data used are words, phrases, clauses, or sentences contained in the poetry anthology Kopi Kehidupan by Mr. Sae. The data collection technique is in the form of document analysis and poetry literary works with listening and recording techniques. The data analysis technique in this research has three stages, namely data reduction, presenting data, and verification/conclusion drawing. The results of the analysis of denotative and connotative meanings in the poetry anthology Kopi Kehidupan by Mr. Sae found 16 denotative meanings and 18 connotative meanings. This shows that the poet is more dominant in using connotative meaning than denotative meaning.
