Objective: To determine the relationship between organizational activeness and therapeutic communication skills among nursing profession students. Methods: This correlational descriptive-analytical study used a quantitative cross-sectional design involving 171 nursing profession students selected through total sampling. Results: Most students demonstrated a moderate level of organizational activeness (56.1%) and moderate therapeutic communication skills (55.6%). Statistical analysis revealed a significant positive correlation between organizational activeness and therapeutic communication skills (r = 0.521; p < 0.05), indicating that greater participation in organizational activities was associated with better communication performance. Students who were more active in organizations tended to exhibit higher confidence, empathy, and interpersonal awareness during clinical interactions. These findings suggest that active engagement in organizational activities provides opportunities for teamwork, leadership, and communication practice, which are transferable to professional therapeutic communication settings. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between organizational activeness and therapeutic communication skills, emphasizing that participation in student organizations can enhance professional communication competencies essential for nursing practice.

Abstract

Victims of violence often experience trauma that can have a prolonged effect as a result of the violence, so it is necessary to make an effort to overcome these problems. For this reason, a nurse needs to carry out effective therapeutic communication to overcome these problems. Violence can be carried out by someone verbally, directed at themselves, other people, and even the environment. At this time, violence has become commonplace in the public's ears. This affects the soul, namely the psychology of a victim who experiences this violence. Therapeutic communication from a nurse is essential because it can control a person's mental state so that a nurse can become a place of conversation for victims of violence. This research aims to determine the relationship between therapeutic communication for victims of violence so that nurses can control the patient's mental health. The literature review used in making this article was done through several databases, including Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, and Garuda. The review literature used is vulnerable to publication in 2018-2023. The result of these articles is that through therapeutic communication, psychologists were able to create a sense of security and trust, which facilitated the recovery process for the victims. Therapeutic communication has a vital role in helping adolescents who experience sexual violence overcome the traumatic impact. Therapeutic communication also can help to reduce signs and symptoms of violent behavior. Therapeutic communication can increase the victim's self-esteem and dignity so they can live a more vibrant life with more enthusiasm. Therapeutic communication also plays a vital role in the mental recovery process that occurs in victims of violence. With the implementation of therapeutic communication, we hope that patients or victims of violence will be able to fight their trauma and various mental disorders that they are currently suffering from. In this case, nurses have a role in implementing their ability to therapeutic communication to overcome mental disorders and trauma in patients with victims of violence.

The location of this research is hospitals in Jember with a population of nurses who work in hospital inpatient rooms using a simple random sampling technique. The total number of respondents obtained was 165 nurses. The research instrument used in data collection was the Job Fatigue Feelings Questionnaire, which had been modified from KAUPK2 and consisted of 17 question items. Statistical analysis in this research uses a constant comparative method. Results: Based on the demographic data of respondents as an item from the analysis of nurses' work fatigue, it was found that age, education, and working period influence the level of work fatigue (p=0.01; p=0.04; p=0.04) while gender, marriage, employment, and position didn’t influence the work fatigue of nurses (p=0.82; p=0.93; p=0.14; p=0.48). Abstract

Farmers often work alone in remote environments with little time to rest or socialize, leading to mental health problems and poor psychological well-being. The imbalance between physical and psychological aspects causes physical responses such as difficulty concentrating, and psychological responses such as anxiety. Social support, self-efficacy, and coping mechanisms play a role in overcoming work-related stress in farmers. This study aims to analyze how family social support can reduce work stress in farmers. The method used in this study is a literature study with 10 articles in 3 databases, namely Google Scholar, Science Direct, and PubMed with a publication period of 2019-2024. Research shows that work stress in farmers can be caused by various factors, namely heavy workloads, long working hours, as well as weather pressure, pests, and changes in market prices. However, it was found that high family social support can reduce work-related stress in farmers but not on farmers' psychological well-being. Therefore, it is necessary to follow up on how family social support affects farmers' work stress and how effective coping strategies can reduce this stress.

Abstract

Encouraging a healthy lifestyle is important for farmers, as it significantly influences their long-term well-being. Unfortunately, a considerable number of farmers engage in risky health practices, primarily due to their limited health literacy. This research delves into the intricate connection between health literacy and the adoption of a healthy lifestyle among farmers residing in Tenggarang Urban Village, Bondowoso Regency. Our study employed a cross-sectional design, encompassing a sample of 90 farmers chosen through cluster random sampling. To assess health literacy, we employed the Health Literacy Short-Form Survey Questionnaire (HLS-EU-SQ10-IDN), designed for use in Indonesia. Additionally, we measured the extent of a healthy lifestyle using the Health Promoting Lifestyle Profile II (HPLP-II). For statistical analysis, we utilized Kendall’s Tau-b correlation test, with a significance level set at α < 0.05. Our findings unveiled that an impressive 78.9% of respondents exhibited commendable health literacy levels, with 60% demonstrating a strong dedication to leading a healthy lifestyle. Crucially, we identified a statistically significant and positive correlation between health literacy and the adoption of a healthy lifestyle among farmers (p value = 0.000 and r = 0.393). To further enrich this area of study, future research could delve deeper into the factors that influence health literacy and the facilitators encouraging the adoption of healthy lifestyle practices among farmers. Consequently, stakeholders are encouraged to formulate educational strategies aimed at bolstering health literacy within the farming community, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of the factors influencing the adoption of healthy lifestyles to effectively enhance farmer well-being.
