Abstract

Background: Ethnomathematics offers valuable insights into how cultural practices can enrich mathematical understanding. This study focuses on integrating ethnomathematics related to rice farming activities into electronic Learning Module (E-LKPD) for enhancing mathematical education.Aim: The research aims to describe the developmental process and assess the effectiveness of the E-LKPD, which incorporates ethnomathematics content from rice farmer activities in paddy fields, in improving students' problem-solving abilities.Method: Employing the 4-D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate), this research was conducted with eighth-grade students of SMP Al-Falah Nusaraya as subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests on problem-solving abilities. Both descriptive statistics and t-test analyses were utilized to evaluate the data.Results: The study reveals that the E-LKPD is validated as effective by experts, with initial field trials placing it in the 'very practical' category. Moreover, results from field tests indicate that students using the E-LKPD with ethnomathematics content demonstrated superior problem-solving skills compared to those who did not use the E-LKPD.Conclusion: The E-LKPD containing ethnomathematics on rice farming activities significantly enhances students' problem-solving abilities, thereby validating the effectiveness of integrating cultural elements into mathematical education through innovative learning modules.

Abstract

Abstract Indonesia is a heterogeneous country with a diversity of races, religions, ethnicities, tribes and cultures. Countries that have diversity have a great chance of division in society. This makes it a responsibility and challenge for the community in an effort to prevent division. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide information related to the heterogeneous condition of the Indonesian nation, raise awareness in maintaining unity and invite the community to continue to foster mutual tolerance in the community in order to realize national integration. The method of community service implementation is by Interview, music video presentation, and direct discussion. The active role of the community in realizing national integration is very necessary, especially in Wonosari, Klaten. The way to realize national integrase is to not discriminate diversity for example in ethnic, cultural, regional and so on, run the worship in accordance with the beliefs and religions adopted, build awareness of the importance of National Integration, do mutual cooperation in order to increase awareness of society, nation, and state, maintain the unity and unity of the nation, willing to maintain the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, etc.

Abstract

The ability of representation mathematical is an ability to express or model the mathematical idea into other forms such as words, pictures, and symbols. A study on the ability of mathematics representation is required for the students; therefore, they can express their idea easily by interpreting their thought relating to mathematics problems. This research is a descriptive qualitative method which aimed to find out the description of student' ability of the mathematical representation on rectangular and triangle based on gender. The subjects of this research are 26 students of eight grades consisted of 11 female students and 15 male students. The technique of collecting data was done by using the test method and interview. The test instrument used is 6 essay tests. The data analysis technique is by analyzing the results of the test data. The research result showed that students' mathematical representation ability are categorized well enough. From the results of the data obtained, it can be concluded that the ability of mathematical representation for male students is evenly distributed because there are results for each category. As for the female students, the average has a high mathematical representation ability

Abstract

Matematika adalah ilmu dasar yang memiliki peran penting dalam upaya untuk penguasaan ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi dan juga dalam kehidupan sehari-hari kita. Banyak siswa melihat matematika sebagai bidang studi yang sulit dimengerti. Salah satu kemampuan yang harus dimiliki untuk dapat menguasai matematika yaitu kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Lester (2003) menegaskan “Problem solving is the heart of mathematics” yang berarti jantungnya matematika adalah pemecahan masalah. Problem solving merupakan suatu cara yang dapat merangsang untuk menganalisis dan melakukan sintesis dalam kesatuan struktur dimana masalah itu berada. Newman mengemukakan ada lima tahapan dalam pemecahan masalah matematika, yaitu a) membaca masalah, b) memahami masalah, c) transformasi masalah, d) keterampilan proses, dan e) penulisan jawaban akhir. Siregar (2017) menyimpulkan bahwa problem solving dalam Al-Quran menurut Tafsir Al-Azhar mempunyai langkah-langkah yaitu: (1) musyawarah, (2) analisis situasi, (3) analisis persoalan dan sebab-sebab Potensial, (4) analisis Keputusan, dan (5) analisis persoalan potensial. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui integrasi Problem Solving dalam matematika dan Al-Quran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode library research. Pada penelitian ini dihasilkan langkah-langkah integrasi Problem Solving dalam matematika dan Al-Quran yaitu (1) mempersiapkan kemampuan dan skill, (2) analisis masalah, (3) memahami masalah, (4) transformasi masalah dan keterampilan proses, dan (5) penulisan jawaban akhir. Kemudian siswa juga perlu memiliki sikap-sikap dalam pemecahan masalah yaitu keyakinan, keimanan, bertawakal, dan bersabar.

Abstract

Inventory is the most crucial aspect in restaurant business, good control is needed so that operational activities can run smoothly. In ‘Warung Bakso’, the quantity of raw material inventory purchased is based on estimates and intuition so that the inventory costs incurred are not efficient. The purpose of this study is to find out the economical order quantity for each raw material, how much safety stock should be provided and when reordering should be done. The type of data used is quantitative data and is equipped with qualitative data which is then analyzed using the EOQ, Safety Stock and Reorder Point formula. As a result, the Total Inventory Costs for it’s six raw materials up to IDR 846.996 with the EOQ Method. In order for the quantity of raw material can be monitored properly, researcher designed a simple inventory application using Ms. Excel.

Abstract

Mastering grammar is often perceived as a difficult task for students, especially when they are passive during lectures that do little to ignite their interest. This research aimed to improve students’ grammar mastery of automotive engineering at SMKN 2 Depok Yogyakarta by combining Problem-Based Learning (PBL) with the ESLVideo.com. Concerning innovative approaches incorporating technology in teaching vocational school, the research was designed as Classroom Action Research (CAR) and was conducted in two cycles. 36 students from the 11th grade were purposively selected because they experience problems with grammar, a lack of motivation, and exposure to technology. These data were collected using pre-tests, post-tests, observation check-list, field notes, and interviews that employed qualitative and quantitative techniques. Paired-sample t-tests analyzed the quantitative data while qualitative data observations and interview provided the context in which the participants were engaged and challenges faced. The use of expert validation, triangulation, and statistical analysis served to enhance the validity and reliability of the research. The results revealed that there was an increase in grammar mastery among students, and average test scores changed from 71.3 in the pre-test to 83.2 in the post-test. Frame grammar within the context of real-life situations pertaining to their discipline in the vocational context increased levels of their understanding and reasoning. Initially, there were some challenges such as inconveniences emerging from lack of exposure to the PBL model and not being able to understand the videos due to limited vocabulary, but continuous reforms and assistance made it work. This research demonstrates the effectiveness of combining PBL and ESLVideo.com filling the void between language education and practice and prepares learners with the needed skills in the contemporary workforce.

Abstract

Ilmu Agama yang diajarkan kepada anak usia 4-12 tahun pada suatu LembagaPendidikan non formal merupakan Lembaga yang dinamakan Taman Pendidikan AlQur’an, dengan tujuan agar santri bisa dididik mengenal huruf hijaiyah serta denganbaik dan benar dalam membaca Al-Quran sesuai dengan ilmu tajwid an pengucapannya.Pengabdian ini bertujuan: (1) untuk mengetahui peningkatan ketrampilan membaca AlQur’ananak didik di desa banjarejo melalui peran adanya Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur’an. (2) untuk peningkatan minat anak didikdalambelajarmembacaAl-Qur’andengan baik dan benar. (3) mempermudah pemahaman dan hafalan denganmenggunakanmetode baca iqro’. Pengabdian masyarakat ini menggunakan metode ABCD (Asset Based Community-driven Development). Pengabdian Masyarakat ini menujukkan bahwa dalam membaca Al-Qur’an pada awalnya belum sesuai dengan kaidah hukum bacaan, makharijul huruf dan tajwid, setelah adanya Pengabdian Masyarakat oleh mahasiswa IAI Ngawi melalui pendampingan untuk anak-anak menghasilkan bahwa anak- anak didik sudah mengetahui bacaan dengan benar serta membaca Al-Quran sesuai dengan kaidah hukum bacaan yang benar.

Abstract

Edukasi narkoba sangat penting bagi generasi muda agar memiliki pemahaman lebih luas serta tidak mudah terpengaruh untuk menyalahgunakan narkoba. Remaja menjadi sasaran yang tepat bagi penyalahgunaan narkoba karena pada usia remaja sangat rentan akan godaan dan memiliki ras penasaran yang tinggi. Maraknya penyimpangan perilaku generasi muda dapat membahayakan hidup bangsa sebab pemuda sebagai generasi yang diharapkan sebagai penerus bangsa. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini untuk memberikan wawasan guna peningkatan pengetahuan tentang bahaya narkoba bagi kesehatan dan masa depan generasi milenial. Metode pengabdian berupa pelaksanaan pembelajaran pentingnya menjaga kesehatan dan mencegah narkoba sejak usia dini serta melakukan kegiatan tanya jawab terkait narkoba. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian anak-anak yang ada di Asrama Yayasan Yatim dan Dhuafa Ishlahul Hayat sangat antusias mengikuti kegiatan dengan semangat. Kesimpulan, bahwa dengan adanya kegiatan pengabdian dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan akan bahaya narkoba bagi kesehatan serta dapat diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari untuk menjauhi narkoba sejak dini. Saran, agar Anak-Anak Asrama Yayasan Yatim dan Dhuafa Islahul Hayat dapat menerapkan pola hidup yang sehat, dapat menjadi generasi yang dapat membanggakan keluarga serta bangsa. Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the digital literacy level of fourth grade students at SD N Bugangan 01 East Semarang. Researchers used descriptive research with qualitative methods to achieve the objectives of this research. This research was carried out from March to April 2024, class IV of SD N Bugangan 01 East Semarang was the place where this research was conducted. Data collection methods include observation, documentation, and interviews with Mrs. Annisa Nur Azizah, class IV teacher. A total of 23 class IV students provided the required learning data. The research results show that students fulfill all aspects of digital literacy indicators, namely the application of digital literacy (reading) in learning, the use of digital media platforms in learning, the use of digital devices and the search for digital-based learning resources. Based on the results and discussions presented by the researchers, the efforts made by the school to encourage digital literacy for class IV students by using picture story books were successfully implemented and obtained good results, where students were enthusiastic in implementing digital literacy.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the frequent occurrence of children committing acts such as bullying, violence, and a lack of politeness and courtesy. Among the factors causing this is that the teacher's strategy in teaching religion and morals is not in accordance with the learning objectives. This study aims to determine the teacher's strategy for teaching religious and moral values to children aged 4-6 years. The research approach used a qualitative approach through the case study method. The data source for this research is Early Childhood Education (ECE) teachers at Kober Raudhotul Jannah Cicalengka and RA Arraudotunnur Garut Regency, with as many as five informants. Data analysis techniques have three main steps: data reduction, data display, and verification. The results concluded that teachers do not fully understand the learning objectives of religion and morals at the PAUD level. Teachers use a variety of methods in accordance with predetermined learning objectives. The methods used by teachers include habituation methods, exemplary singing, role-playing, and tourism work
