Abstract

Draping patternmaking is a crucial skill in the fashion world, yet students often struggle to grasp the concept and its practical application. These difficulties stem from limited time for practical work and the lack of readily accessible learning resources for draping patternmaking. Web technology allows flexible access to learning materials. QR codes enable quick access to learning content that can be tailored to individual students' needs, supporting flexibility and speed in the learning process. The case method approach, which encourages learning based on real-life case studies, is also increasingly relevant in technology-based learning contexts. This study aims to measure the effectiveness of web-based learning media integrated with QR codes and using the case method approach in improving students' skills in draping patternmaking. This research method employed R&D with the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Based on the study results, validation by material experts (91%) and media experts (95%) was categorized as very valid. The average student response rate of 3.44 indicated a positive assessment of the media. Student perceptions of the media's ease of use, clarity, and usefulness were also very positive. The average N-Gain value of 0.65 indicates that the media's effectiveness is in the moderate category. Thus, this media is suitable for use and has proven quite effective in improving students' abilities in draping learning.

Abstract

Culture that is inherited hereditarily and takes place in certain local areas is an invaluable heritage, one of which is the weaving culture in Aceh Besar District of Aceh Province. The lack of young generation’s interest to sustain weaving activity is concerned with the existence of Aceh Songket weaving, which contains various philosophical meanings in the future. Through education, it should be a relay to maintain the culture of weaving in Aceh Province so that it becomes the identity of the Aceh people. The research in this article aims to design and determine the feasibility of the media, practicality, and effectiveness of the Aceh Songket Weaving-making textbook media integrated with local wisdom. The development of textbook media uses a 4-D development model. The results of the validity testing validated by material experts and media experts indicate a score of 91.5%, in which the considered aspects are categorized as very valid; the practicality testing indicates 80% in the practical category, and the effectiveness testing on students’ performance aspects indicates a score of 80 in the good criteria. Along with the data, it can be concluded that textbooks are feasible to use in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how much influence entrepreneurship learning and PKL experience have on the interest of vocational students in tourism in Padang City. This research uses an ex post facto approach with a correlational research method. The population studied included all XII grade students of SMK Negeri in the field of tourism in Padang City which amounted to 725 people, with this number, 260 were sampled using proportional random sampling technique. Data collection is done through questionnaire instruments. In monitoring the instrument that needs to be done is confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Data analysis techniques applied include descriptive analysis and multiple regression. The research findings show that: (1) entrepreneurship subjects contribute 2.9% to entrepreneurial interest and have a positive effect, (2) internship experience contributes 4.7% to student entrepreneurial interest and also have a positive effect, and (3) overall, the two variables contribute 7.9% to student entrepreneurial interest and have a positive effect.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of tunjung (ferrous sulfate) fixation duration on the color quality and motif clarity of ecoprinted fabrics made from young teak (Tectona grandis) leaves applied to artificial fibers. The research supports the development of eco-friendly natural dye applications and innovation in textile and fashion education. A descriptive quantitative method was used, employing trend and percentage analyses based on evaluations from three textile experts. The assessment covered five aspects: color brightness, motif clarity, motif arrangement neatness, cleanliness, and overall appearance. The results showed that fixation durations of 10, 30, and 60 minutes did not significantly influence color brightness or motif quality, indicating that the dye–fiber bonding equilibrium was achieved within 10 minutes. However, qualitative observations revealed that samples fixed for 30 minutes exhibited slightly clearer motifs due to mild oxidation and pigment redistribution during steaming and drying. These findings suggest that a 10-minute fixation duration is sufficient for efficient dye bonding, while a 30-minute duration may enhance visual definition. The study contributes to sustainable textile innovation by demonstrating that teak leaf pigments combined with tunjung mordant can produce eco-friendly, visually appealing fabrics suitable for fashion and textile learning.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has transformed educational systems worldwide, making digital literacy an indispensable competency for students, teachers, and educational stakeholders. This study aims to examine the urgency of digital literacy in developing a modern educational ecosystem and to identify its contributions to improving educational quality in the digital era. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach was employed to synthesize and analyze relevant scholarly publications indexed in reputable databases. The review process involved article identification, screening, eligibility assessment, and thematic analysis of studies published within the last decade. The findings reveal that digital literacy plays a pivotal role in enhancing critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, communication, and collaboration skills, which are essential competencies for the twenty-first century. Furthermore, digital literacy supports the effective integration of technology into teaching and learning processes, promotes lifelong learning, and strengthens digital citizenship among learners. However, challenges such as unequal access to technology, limited digital competence among educators, and inadequate institutional support remain significant barriers. Therefore, the integration of digital literacy into educational curricula and policies is no longer optional but imperative. Sustainable collaboration among policymakers, educational institutions, teachers, and communities is required to establish an inclusive, adaptive, and resilient digital education ecosystem capable of meeting future educational demands.
