Abstract

The research is a quasi-experimental that aimed to know the effect of making mind mapping at the end of learning in guided inkuiri learning model toward students’ learning outcome in XI IPA class of SMA Kristen Gamaliel Makassar. The independent variable in this experiment is making mind mapping at the end of lerning with use inquiri learning model. The dependent variable was the students’ learning outcome on the subject matter of reaction rate. The population was XI IPA with 4 classes of SMA Kristen Gamaliel Makassar and sample classes consisted of two classes, namely XI IPA1 class as an experiment class and XI IPA2 class as a control class with 33 students in each classes. Taking technique of sample was a simple random sampling. The research data was gathered by learning outcome test of reaction rate subject matter for post-test which was analyzed by using Mann-Whitney test. The result of hypothesis with Mann-Whitney test was Zcalculated = 1.70 at α = 0.05 obtained Ztable = 1.64. Therefore, Zcalculated > Ztable, which the H1 accepted and H0 rejected. It showed that there is an effect of making mind mapping at the end of learning in guided inkuiri learning model toward students’ learning outcome in XI IPA class of SMA Kristen Gamaliel Makassar on reaction subject matter.

Abstract

A protein can be identified based on each level of its structure. Every protein contains at least primary, secondary and tertiary structures. Only a few proteins have a quaternary structure as well. The primary structure consists of a linear chain of amino acids. One of the electric field-mediated separation methods that is often applied to analyze proteins based on their size is SDS-PAGE electrophoresis. This technique is based on the assumption that after denaturation, the polypeptide chains covered in SDS micelles have comparable surface charge densities, so that the resulting differences in electrical migration are based on their size. SDS-PAGE separates protein molecules based on their particle size and shape. This gel can be made with varying pore sizes which are determined based on the total amount of acrylamide compound added (gel concentration). The gel pore size will become smaller as the gel concentration increases so that only protein molecules that have a small molecular weight can pass through. This measure of the molecular weight of a protein is useful in mapping proteins (protein profiling). The gel staining used is bromophenol blue which functions to color proteins because it binds weakly to proteins. The higher the protein concentration of a sample being electrophoresed, the resulting band will appear clear and thick. However, if the protein concentration of a protein is low, the resulting band will appear thin.

Abstract

Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu (quasi experiment) yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran komik pada model discovery learning terhadap minat dan hasil belajar kimia pada materi pokok koloid. Desain penelitian ini adalah posttest-only control design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas XI IPA SMAN 13 Makassar diambil sebanyak dua kelas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik Simple Random Sampling dan terpilih kelompok eksperimen yaitu kelas XI IPA 1 sebanyak 36 peserta didik dan kelompok kontrol yaitu kelas XI IPA 2 sebanyak 35 peserta didik. Data hasil penelitian diperoleh dari angket minat dan tes hasil belajar peserta didik. Data tersebut dianalisis dengan analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis statistik inferensial. Berdasarkan hasil analisis statistik deskriptif diperoleh rata-rata minat dan hasil belajar kelompok eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok kontrol. Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji-t untuk pengujian minat belajar dan uji mann-whitney untuk pengujian hasil belajar. Hasil analisis statistik inferensial menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media komik pada model discovery learning terhadap minat dan hasil belajar kimia peserta didik kelas XI IPA SMAN 13 Makassar pada materi pokok koloid. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan senyawa metabolit sekunder dan aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak Lichen Usnea barbata terhadap bakteri Escherichia coli resisten terhadap antibiotik amoxicilin-klavulanat (AMC) dan sulfametoksazol (SXT). Tahap penelitian meliputi ekstraksi dengan metode maserasi menggunakan tiga pelarut yaitu, (n-heksan, kloroform dan aseton), uji fitokimia, dan uji aktivitas antibakteri menggunakan metode difusi cakram menggunakan lima variasi konsentrasi (62,5; 125; 250; 500; dan 1000 ppm), kontrol negatif (kloroform) dan kontrol positif (amoxicilin-klavulanat) yang diulang sebanyak tiga kali. Hasil uji fitokimia menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak aseton mengandung alkaloid, flavonoid, dan saponin; ekstrak kloroform mengandung alkaloid dan flavonoid; sedangkan ekstrak n-heksan mengandung steroid. Hasil uji aktivitas antibakteri menunjukkan bahwa kontrol positif menghasilkan rata-rata diameter zona hambat sebesar 18 mm, sedangkan kontrol negatif tidak menunjukkan zona hambat (0 mm). Ekstrak menunjukkan daya hambat lemah dengan rata-rata zona hambat terbesar ditemukan pada ekstrak kloroform 1000 ppm (4 mm). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, ekstrak Lichen U. barbata menunjukkan aktivitas antibakteri dengan kategori lemah terhadap E. coli yang resisten terhadap antibiotik.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media chempuzzle pada model discovery learning terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik Kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 4 Maros studi pada materi pokok senyawa hidrokarbon. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah posttest only control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 4 Maros yang terdiri dari tujuh kelas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara random sampling, sehingga terpilih kelas XI MIPA 5 sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan XI MIPA 6 sebagai kelompok kontrol. Hasil analisis deskriptif diperoleh rata-rata hasil belajar kelompok eksperimen lebih tinggi dari kelompok kontrol. Hasil analisis statistik inferensial menunjukkan bahwa data kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol berasal dari populasi yang homogen tetapi tidak terdistribusi normal, sehingga uji hipotesis menggunakan uji statistik non-parametrik, Mann-Whitney hasilnya pada ∝ = 0,05 diperoleh Zhitung>Ztabel (12,9 >1,64), berarti ada pengaruh media chempuzzle pada model discovery learning terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik Kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 4 Maros studi pada materi pokok senyawa hidrokarbon.Kata kunci: chempuzzle, discovery learning, hasil belajar ABSTRACTThis is quasi experiment research that aimed to know the effect of chempuzzle media in discovery learning model toward students' learning outcomes class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 4 Maros study on the subject matter of hydrocarbon compounds. The research design was posttest only control group design. The population of this research was students in class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 4 Maros that consist of seven classes. Sampling was carried by random sampling, so class XI MIPA 5 was selected as the experimental group and XI MIPA 6 as the control group. The results of descriptive analysis showed the average of learning outcomes of experimental group higher than the control group. The results of inferential statistical analysis toward students learning outcomes showed that data on the experimental group and the control group were homogeneous but not normally distributed so hypothesis testing using nonparametric test by Mann-Whitney, the result at ∝ = 0.05 obtained Zcount>Ztable (12.9>1.64), meaning that there is an influence of chempuzzle media in discovery learning model towards students’ learning outcomes class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 4 Maros study on the subject matter of hydrocarbon compounds.Keywords: chempuzzle, discovery learning, learning outcomes

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media Ahaslides pada model discovery learning terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI IPA 1 SMAN 2 Toraja Utara materi pokok hidrokarbon. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah posttest only control design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI IPA SMAN 2 Toraja Utara yang terdiri dari 8 kelas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara acak, sehingga yang menjadi kelompok eksperimen adalah peserta didik kelas XI IPA 1 yang berjumlah 36 orang dan kelompok kontrol adalah kelas XI IPA 3 yang berjumlah 35 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara pemberian posttest di akhir pertemuan. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Analisis deskriptif diperoleh rata-rata pada kelompok eksperimen adalah 94,91 dan pada kelompok kontrol adalah 81,7. Analisis inferensial menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney, diperoleh nilai Ⱬhitung > Ⱬtabel pada taraf signifikansi α = 0,05, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh media Ahaslides pada Model Discovery Learning terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI IPA SMAN 2 Toraja Utara pada materi pokok hidrokarbon.

Abstract

This research is a development research (Research and Development) with the objectives: (1) to assess the quality of the instrument in terms of content validity and empirical validity, (2) to determine the reliability of the developed instrument, and (3) to assess the practicality of the developed instrument. The product developed is a contextual science literacy assessment instrument on the topic of colloids. The developed contextual science literacy instrument is in the form of multiple-choice questions. The research was conducted using the 4D development model, which includes the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The results of rational validation by two expert validators yielded 15 valid test items with an Aiken's index ≥ 0.75. The instrument was tested on 34 students from class XII MIPA 3 of SMAN 1 Gowa. The results of empirical validation using the point biserial formula at α=0.339 yielded 14 valid test items. The results of the reliability test using KR-20 showed that the instrument was categorized as reliable with a value of 0.831. The analysis of the item discrimination power showed that there were 2 very good items, 6 good items, 4 fair items, and 3 poor items. The distribution of the item difficulty level was 47% difficult items, 40% medium items, and 2% easy items. The practicality of the contextual science literacy assessment instrument on the topic of colloids was categorized as practical based on the positive results of the student questionnaire (85%) and the teacher questionnaire (95%).

Abstract

The objective of this research was to develop a model of food chemistry learning process to guide student’s attitude and behaviour on healthy eating pattern and facilitating their academic achievement.  The participants were student who enrolled of food chemistry course. Preliminary results identified 90% of students were enjoy the course’s learning process, and 80% of them argued that the course was very valuable. However, there were 40% among participants experienced teacthing troubles to understand the terms of chemistry reactions, particularly during food processing.  In addition, their knowledge related to food chemistry was not applied to be guidance in choosing everyday food consumption especially during they were in university.As conclusion from the preliminary result, learning’s model is critically needed in order to (1) enhance the student’s knowledge, particularly in the area of reaction of chemistry compound (nutrition value) during food processing and (2) improve of student’s attitude and behaviour in well-selecting of healthy food. Social cognitive Bandura is selected approach to be incorporated with learning process of food chemistry by the following reasons: (1) modelling enabled, (2) self-efficacy, (3) observational learning, and (4) motivation and reinforcement.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid, practical, and effective E-module based on Discovery learning Model on Acid-Base learning materials, and to improve the learning outcomes. The study employed a 4D development model design which consisted of the define phase, the design phase, the develop phase, and the dissemination phase. The research subjects were 33 students of grade XI IPA 1 at SMAN 14 Makassar. The research used were 4 research results instruments, namely learning outcomes improvement instruments and product instruments such as validity instruments, practical instruments such as student response questionnaires and educator responses, and effectiveness instruments. The data collection technique used was giving pretests before being given treatment and giving posttests after being given treatment and giving questionnaires to assess the practicality of the E-module that had been developed. Data analysis used is N-Gain analysis for learning outcomes, validity, practicality, and effectiveness such as individual completeness, and class mastery percentage. The results of the analysis are: (1) The learning outcomes of class XI students at SMA Negeri 14 Makasar obtained an N-Gain value of 0.79 in the high category (2) The developed e-module obtained an average score of 89% categorized as high or very valid. (3) The practicality of the developed E-module obtained a score from the educator's questionnaire was 91% and the students were 87.24% categorized as very valid, and (4) The effectiveness of the results of the development of the E-module had an individual completeness score of 100% and class presentation completeness was 100%, so it was categorized as very successful or effective.

Abstract

Abstrak – Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat Kecamatan Pattallasang, Kabupaten Takalar, dalam memanfaatkan bahan alam sebagai obat tradisional. Potensi tanaman obat di wilayah ini cukup melimpah, namun pemanfaatannya masih terbatas dan belum berbasis pengetahuan ilmiah. Program dilaksanakan melalui sosialisasi, pelatihan berbasis ceramah–diskusi–demonstrasi, dan pendampingan praktik pengolahan tanaman obat. Selain itu, digunakan media digital berupa video tutorial dan forum diskusi daring untuk pembelajaran berkelanjutan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam identifikasi dan pengolahan tanaman obat lokal secara aman dan higienis. Evaluasi menunjukkan masyarakat mulai mempraktikkan pengolahan herbal di rumah dan berminat mengembangkan usaha berbasis herbal. Program ini berkontribusi dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat serta mendukung kemandirian kesehatan berbasis potensi lokal.Kata kunci: pengabdian masyarakat, tanaman obat, obat tradisional, Pattallasang, edukasi herbal
