Abstract

This is a descriptive qualitative research which aims to describe the implementation of Semester Learning Plan (RPS) on MaharahIstima’ Course by Using Cartoon Story Maker and its distinct characteristics from the previous RPS. The subject of this research is the Arabic language lecturers of IAIN Palangka Raya who teach MaharahIstima’ course. It uses observations, interviews, and documentations for the data collection techniques, and is validated using triangulation method. The results showed that there were nine learning activities of the implementation of Cartoon Story Maker based semester learning plan, namely; (1) Providing information to the students about the course’s learning objectives. (2) Giving apperception about the learning material. (3) Preparing and displaying Cartoon Story Maker media. (4) Students listen and prepare their stationeries (5) Students mention the main and supporting ideas. (6) Providing responses and corrections (7) Reminding the students to write the new vocabulary obtained. (8) Students make conclusions (9) Providing an explanation or summary about the material. The specification of this RPS with the previous one is that it is designed and clearly described the assessment indicators which include a series of more innovative activities, where learning is more centred on students and lecturers only act as facilitators and monitor the learning objectives. Lecturers only provide learning resources by creating Cartoon Story Maker as an interesting and effective learning media.

Abstract

The characteristic of Arabic Language which is unique and different compared to other foreign languages, has become certain issue for academic society, especially with this actual condition of COVID-19, it gives impact to both teachers and students.  In university level, more specifically, in order to maintain teaching – learning process to be held, various kind of media are used to support the teaching and learning activities. This research aims for exploring and describing Arabic language teaching – learning online activities in IAIN Palangka Raya using qualitative method and case study. Data collecting methods used in this research are observations, interview and documentation. Research result shows that Arabic language teaching – learning online activities in IAIN Palangka Raya adopting online technology with platforms which based on social media and e-learning application. Those platforms are categorized into three: 1) WhatsApp Group, used for intensive communications between teacher and students related to teaching – learning activities; 2) Google Classroom, used for collecting assignments; and 3) Zoom Cloud Meeting, used for audio-visual media for learning topics which need significant explanation. These medias are used after consideration on ease of accessibility, hardware compatibility, communication features, process and cost needed to use them. The findings of this research describe that Arabic language teaching – learning online activities in IAIN Palangka Raya collaborate those three aforementioned applications so that creativity, innovation and motivation are growing even during Covid-19 pandemic situation.

Abstract

This article discusses the professional competence of Arabic language teachers in several schools in the Central Kalimantan region which have not been met according to the standards set by the Regulation of the Minister of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number 16 of 2007 concerning Academic Qualification Standards and Teacher Competency. Research using qualitative method. Through the results of the research, three Arabic teachers were found with inappropriate educational backgrounds. However, in the learning reflection process, the three Arabic teachers carried out various reflection activities, such as learning evaluation, classroom action research, self-study, self-observation, and student responses, attending training, implementing innovations, recording the learning process, analyzing needs. students, and address the needs of students by needs analysis. From the results of this study, the researcher recommends that Arabic teachers reflect regularly to improve the quality of learning and meet established professional competency standards.

Abstract

Lembaga kursus Bahasa arab merupakan peluang bisnis yang menjanjikan, karena posisi Bahasa arab di Indonesia yang menjadi Pelajaran wajib dalam setiap Tingkat Pendidikan, serta kebutuhan akan pembelajaran bahasa Arab masih tinggi, terutama di Indonesia. Namun banyak Lembaga kursus Bahasa arab yang tidak bisa bertahan lama. Artikel ini membahas strategi bertahan lembaga kursus bahasa Arab Cahaya Ilmu Bahasa Intelektual di Kota Malang. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis strategi yang digunakan oleh Lembaga kursus Bahasa arab ini dalam mempertahankan eksistensinya di pasar pendidikan bahasa Arab yang kompetitif. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan observasi. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa Lembaga kursus ini menggunakan strategi unik, setidaknya dua strategi besar yang digunakan, stategi pemasaran serta strategi dalam proses pembelajaran Bahasa arab didalamnya. Dengan strategi ini, Lembaga kursus ini berhasil bertahan dan berkembang di pasar yang kompetitif.

Abstract

Popularitas bahasa Arab saat ini tengah naik, mengingat kedudukannya sebagai bahasa asing mulai diperhitungkan dan banyak digunakan dalam berbagai kesempatan. Peran mahasiswa bahasa Arab sebagai generasi penerus, pelopor, dan pendidik bahasa Arab juga dituntut agar bisa menyeimbangi kepopularitasan dari bahasa Arab itu sendiri. Berawal dari itu, maka perlu diadakan sebuah kegiatan yang dapat membantu mahasiswa dalam meningkatkan wawasan dan keterampilan di bidang bahasa Arab agar pengetahuan mahasiswa tidak cukup dalam satu wadah saja. Salah satu bentuk perwujudan dari hal tersebut adalah dengan diadakannya program pengabdian bertaraf internasional di Mahad Bahasa dan Ilmu Qur’an (MaBIQ) Malaysia. Pada pelaksanaannya program ini metode yang digunakan adalah  pelatihan dan dilaksanakan selama seminggu dengan fokus pembelajaran mengarah kepada materi durushulughah dan khitobah. Kegiatan pengabdian ini diikuti oleh 120 santri yang dibagi menjadi 4 kelas dengan 4 pengajar yang berasal dari mahasiswa Indonesia. Berdasarkan hasil dari kegiatan ini, diketahui santri yang mengikuti pembelajaran bahasa Arab menjadi lebih terampil dan percaya diri menggunakan bahasa Arab, hal ini dibuktikan melalui perolehan rata-rata peningkatan kepercayaan diri sebesar 70%, penguasaan mufrodat sebesar 55% dan kemampuan berinteraksi menggunakan bahasa Arab 55% serta ditambah adanya penampilan persembahan yang ditampilkan kepada para pengajar di malam penutupan kegiatan pengabdian.

Abstract

The reason for choosing this research stems from the researcher's interest in exploring the practice of an Arabic language teacher who conducts self-study, to improve the quality of learning that he does. The qualitative research method, using a phenomenological approach, was chosen because it was felt that this research method was the most appropriate to further explore information related to independent learning carried out by Arabic language teachers. Data was collected by looking at the whole process of daily activities, in-depth interviews, and observations of independent learning carried out. The subject of this research is an Arabic teacher who was chosen based on the criteria of self-learning represented through daily activities. The results of this study report that there are seven independent learning activities carried out, namely: reading, watching video tutorials, listening to podcasts, taking online courses, conducting experiments, discussing with others, and attending training programs. This research contributes to expanding the study of self-learning, which is important for teachers to do, as a self-effort to improve the quality of Arabic language learning.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic which began to plague Indonesia in March 2020 had a major impact on academic activities in higher education, including at IAIN Palangka Raya. This situation requires the lecturers to find ways to adapt to new conditions and reduce the risk of virus transmission. This study is a descriptive-qualitative research that aims to uncover the learning process of Mahārah Istimā’ using WhatsApp Group media seen from the learning objectives, materials, strategies, and evaluation. The subject of this research is lecturers of Arabic Education (PBA) at IAIN Palangka Raya who teach the Mahārah Istimā’ course. Data of the research was collected from observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the learning process of Mahārah Istimā’ during the Covid-19 pandemic could run optimally in terms of the learning objectives, materials, strategies, and evaluation. The objectives of Mahārah Istimā’ learning are to understand, develop, interact, observe, conclude, and classify information. The learning materials used can be in the form of discourses, conversations, songs, guessing games, or chain messages using audio that is played through the voice note feature on the WhatsApp application. The strategies used include: (1) listen and then say, (2) listen and then answer, (3) listen and then identify, and (4) listen and then refine. The evaluations meant here involve daily evaluations for each assignment and summative evaluations, i.e. the midterm exam and the final exam.

Abstract

Bī'ah Lughawiyyah, as the Arabic language environment is called, is a very effective means of acquiring Arabic language proficiency. In this 5.0 Era, the definition of the bī’ah lughawiyyah is no longer tied to a mutually agreed time and place. Visual interaction using technology can promise unlimited access so that it can narrow space and time. Previously, bī’ah lughawiyyah was often identified with a community or group that was created under a specific system or arrangement, so what about now? Amidst the massive use of social media in everyday life. This article explains the Arabic language environment in the 5.0 era in terms of students' daily activities. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach to categorize student activities as a form of bī'ah lughawiyyah era 5.0. The subjects in this study were students of the Arabic Language Education Study Program at IAIN Palangka Raya. The data collection techniques used were observation, interview, and documentation. The results showed that bī’ah lughawiyyah era 5.0 was dominated by social media such as Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook.

Abstract

Banyak yang beranggapan hidup sehat dan bersih tanggung jawab dokter atau bidang kesehatan. Anggapan ini tidak dibenarkan karena hidup sehat dan bersih tanggung jawab setiap orang. Permasalahan mengenai sampah merupakan masalah lingkungan yang sangat serius, bahkan setiap harinya akan terus bertambah. Namun sangat memprihatinkan, ketika sampah-sampah tersebut dibuang sembarangan. Banyak masyarakat membuang sampah tidak pada tempatnya karna kurangnya tempat sampah yang tersedia maupun rendahnya kesadaran msyarakat untuk membuang sampah pada tempatnya. Karna itu diadakanya program kerja dari KKN IAIN Palangka Raya dalam pengadaan bak sampah yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat melalui flayer, mengenai pentingnya manjaga lingkungan sekitar dari dampak negatif dan bahayanya sampah terhadap kesehatan serta mengingatkan kepada masyarakat Desa Pangkalan Sari untuk tidak membuang sampah sembarangan dan meningkatkan rasa peduli lingkungan dengan menjaga kebersihan bentuk upayah menjaga kesehatan di Desa Pangkalan Sari Kecamatan Basarang, Kabupaten Kapuas. Metode pelaksanaan terdiri dari tiga tahap, yakni tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan dan tahap akhir. Hasil dari penelitian ini dengan adanya bak sampah dengan harga yang lebih ekonomis karna tempat sampah ini terbuat dari barang-barang bekas dan flayer mengenai sampah dapat memberikan dampak perubahan pola pikir untuk kesadaran akan pentingnya menjaga kebersihan dengan demikian akan menciptakan desa yang bersih dan sehat.

Abstract

Setiap anak memiliki kemampuan masing masing dibidangnya. Bukan hanya di akademik saja tapi juga kemampuan non akademik setiap anak berbeda dan perlu diasah guna meningkatkan kemampuan nya menjadi lebih baik lagi. Kegiatan ini merupakan Kegiatan kualitatif deskriptif bertujuan untuk mengetahui minat bakat pada peserta didik. Maka dari itu “sabtu ceria” sebagai ajang tunjuk bakat peserta didik disetiap kelas untuk melihat Tingkat kemampuan peserta didik yang bukan hanya di dalam kelas saja tapi juga diluar kelas seperti lingkungan sekolah. Minat bakat yang ditampilkan siswa juga beragam, mereka bebas untuk berkreasi semaksimal mungkin untuk mendapatkan hasil yang lebih baik.
