Abstract

The purpose of this study is to carry out a comparative analysis of the education curriculum between Germany and Indonesia. Considering that Germany and Indonesia have different education systems, this curriculum analysis will be able to add reference sources that can be used as a basis for future curriculum studies. The method in this study uses literature studies from journals, books, and articles related to differences in the education curriculum in Germany and Indonesia. The steps in this study include topic identification, literature search, literature selection, literature evaluation, literature analysis, interpretation of analysis results and article writing. The results of this study are that the educational curriculum in Germany has a distinctive feature that emphasizes the development of practical and professional skills that are relevant to the world of work. Meanwhile in Indonesia, the education curriculum focuses more on mastering academic knowledge and general skills, with an emphasis on developing character and moral values. Learning Methodology in Germany applies a learning approach that is oriented towards practical and interactive experiences, such as project-based learning, simulations and group discussions. Meanwhile in Indonesia, the learning methods used include group discussions, case studies, cooperative learning, and problem-based learning.

Abstract

The essential need for character education development in the Operational Curriculum of Educational Units (KOSP) at SDN 3 Pagentan and SDN 2 Wonorejo is evident. However, the existing KOSP documents, initially adapted from another school due to a lack of knowledge in KOSP development, do not fully align with the characteristics and needs of the school community. This service empowers teachers in both schools to enhance their understanding of KOSP and develop documents enriched with the Strengthening Project for the Profile of Pancasila-Rahmatan lil Alamin Students (P5-RA), considering each school's unique characteristics and needs. Using a participatory action research (PAR) approach, the service involves problem identification, analysis, action preparation, program socialisation, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation. The instruments include tests and assessment rubrics, revealing a significant improvement in teachers' knowledge of KOSP, with scores increasing from 71 to 80 in the moderate category. The service activities also produce a grand design of character integrated into KOSP documents enriched with P5-RA, developed by teachers in both schools based on their unique characteristics and needs. In summary, this service positively impacts teachers' knowledge and optimises the availability of KOSP documents enriched with P5-RA as guidelines for strengthening character education in schools.

Abstract

Abstract

Creative thinking skills are an essential 21st-century competency that needs to be developed from the elementary school level. This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model on the creative thinking skills of fourth-grade elementary school students. The research employed a quantitative method with a one-group pre-test-post-test design. The participants consisted of 25 students from one elementary school in Lamongan. The instrument used was an essay test to measure creative thinking skills, which had met the validity and reliability tests. The results of the Shapiro-Wilk normality test indicated that the data were normally distributed (pre-test = 0.061; post-test = 0.189). Data analysis using a Paired Sample t-test in SPSS version 25 yielded a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating that H₀ was rejected and Hₐ was accepted. This finding proves a significant effect of the PjBL model on improving students' creative thinking skills, as reflected in the increase in the average score from 43.4 (pre-test) to 80.24 (post-test). These results imply that PjBL can be relied upon as an effective learning model to foster students' creative thinking skills in science learning contexts, particularly on the topic of energy transformation.

Abstract

This study examines methodological approaches and analytical practices in qualitative case study research within educational contexts. The increasing diversity in the interpretation and implementation of case study research has created methodological inconsistencies, particularly in research design, data collection, and data analysis procedures. Therefore, this systematic review aims to identify methodological characteristics, classify case study approaches, and analyze analytical practices employed in qualitative educational case study research. This study employed a systematic literature review guided by the PRISMA framework. Articles were retrieved from Scopus-indexed journals published between 2018 and 2023. The selected studies were analyzed based on research design, participant selection, data collection techniques, and data analysis procedures. The findings reveal that qualitative case study research in education predominantly employs semi-structured interviews, observations, and document analysis as primary data sources. Thematic analysis, coding procedures, and triangulation techniques were frequently used to enhance data validity and interpretation. The review also identified variations in the classification and implementation of intrinsic, instrumental, explanatory, and exploratory case studies. These findings highlight the importance of methodological rigor and conceptual clarity in conducting qualitative case study research in educational settings. Keywords: qualitative case study, educational research, systematic literature review, methodological approaches, analytical practices

Abstract

This study proposes the Coding Dance Party as an innovative pedagogical intervention to facilitate interdisciplinary learning by enhancing creativity and computational thinking among students enrolled in a Primary School Teacher Education program. The approach adopts an experiential, embodied learning framework by integrating dance-based activities with foundational computer programming concepts, thereby promoting active engagement and multimodal cognition. A quantitative research design was employed using a one-group pretest–posttest model. The sample consisted of 60 participants who underwent structured instruction through the Coding Dance Party intervention. Data were collected using standardized creativity tests and computational thinking assessments, both of which were previously validated for reliability and construct validity. Statistical analysis was conducted using paired-sample t-tests to evaluate differences in student performance before and after the intervention. The findings demonstrate a substantial improvement in students’ creativity, with mean scores increasing from 65.3 to 82.7. Similarly, computational thinking skills showed a marked enhancement, rising from a mean score of 62.8 to 85.4 following the intervention. These results indicate that the Coding Dance Party method is effective in stimulating creative capacities and strengthening computational thinking competencies. The study contributes to the expanding body of research on innovative instructional strategies by providing empirical evidence for the effectiveness of integrating arts-based approaches into computational learning contexts. The findings suggest that such interdisciplinary methods offer a more engaging, holistic, and pedagogically robust learning experience, with potential applicability across diverse educational settings.
