Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model combined with vocabulary cards in improving the Arabic speaking skills (maharah kalam) of Madrasah Tsanawiyah students. The background of this study stems from the low speaking ability of students due to limited vocabulary, shyness, and a lack of interactive learning methods. This study uses a quantitative approach with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design, where the research subjects consist of 38 seventh-grade students at MTsN 1 Lamongan. Data were collected through speaking tests before (pretest) and after (posttest) the learning treatment using the TPS model based on vocabulary cards. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics and a paired sample t-test. The results of the study showed a significant increase in the average score from 74.39 on the pretest to 89.58 on the posttest, with a difference of 15.19 points. The t-test yielded a value of -8.736 with a significance level of p = 0.000 (< 0.05), confirming that the difference between the pretest and posttest scores is statistically significant. These findings confirm that the implementation of the TPS model based on vocabulary cards is effective in improving students' speaking skills. Pedagogically, this model not only expands vocabulary mastery but also enhances confidence, oral participation, and fluency in speaking. This study recommends that Arabic language teachers in madrasahs can adopt the TPS with vocabulary cards as an alternative contextual, interactive, and enjoyable learning strategy in developing maharah kalam.

Abstract

Media sosial merupakan media daring yang memungkinkan individu untuk berbagi, berpartisipasi, dan menciptakan konten seperti blog, forum, serta jejaring sosial yang didukung oleh teknologi multimedia. Penggunaan media sosial memiliki dampak positif maupun negatif terhadap mahasiswa. Dampak positifnya meliputi perluasan jaringan pertemanan dan peningkatan motivasi belajar, sedangkan dampak negatifnya antara lain berkurangnya waktu belajar, gangguan fokus, dan menurunnya semangat akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media sosial terhadap prestasi akademik mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Dokter Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Abulyatama. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan desain cross-sectional dan teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling sebanyak 150 mahasiswa angkatan 2021–2023. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh signifikan antara penggunaan media sosial terhadap indeks prestasi kumulatif (IPK) mahasiswa dengan nilai signifikansi 0,038 (< 0,05) dan koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,029. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media sosial berkontribusi sebesar 2,9% terhadap variasi prestasi akademik mahasiswa, sedangkan 97,1% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain seperti usia, kualitas konten, dan interaksi sosial. Dengan demikian, penggunaan media sosial dapat memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap prestasi akademik apabila dimanfaatkan secara bijak dan proporsional untuk mendukung kegiatan pembelajaran.

Abstract

Purpose- This research aims to describe the process of assisting the matriculation of Arabic competence at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Pasuruan. Design/Methodology/Approach- This research was conducted to add to the treasures of community assistance with the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach. The method used in this mentoring process uses the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach with a five-step method, namely Discovery, Dream, Design, Define, Destiny. qualitative data collection is done by observation, interviews and documentation. Sources of data are teachers and students as well as assistants. While the collected data is processed and analyzed using data reduction flow, data display and conclusion drawing. Findings- The results of the assistance show that the Arabic language competency matriculation assistance at MAN 1 Pasuruan was carried out in five stages, namely Discovery, Dream, Design, Define, Destiny. Every stage of this assistance is carried out properly. While the results of this assistance are also very good, where students are able to explore the competencies they have and all of them follow the process of this activity properly. So that they are able to take part in Arabic language competitions both held by local madrasas and on a wider scale.  Research Limitations/Implications- This research is limited to facilitation of Arabic competency matriculation at MAN 1 Pasuruan. This matriculation assistance focuses on efforts to increase the competency of students in mastering Arabic language skills which are focused on preparation for participating in various Arabic language competitions.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Problem-Based Learning (PBL)terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Mahasiswa Kedokteran. Pembelajarandalam pendidikan kedokteran bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan danmempersiapkan mahasiswa terhadap berbagai masalah medis yang umum dijumpaisetelah lulus. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruhPBL terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa kedokteran. Penelitian inimenggunakan desain cross-sectional analitik dengan sampel sebanyak 220mahasiswa pendidikan dokter angkatan 2020, 2021, dan 2022 di UniversitasAbulyatama yang dipilih menggunakan teknik sampel secara total sampling.Penelitian dilakukan selama dua bulan pada Desember 2022 - Januari 2023. Datadikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner data demografi dan Critical ThinkingDisposition Self-Rating Form yang disusun dan disebar menggunakan situs webGoogle Form. Hasil analisis dengan uji Chi-Square menunjukkan terdapat hubungansignifikan antara model pembelajaran PBL terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritismahasiswa (ρ-value = 0,022). Institusi disarankan untuk mengembangkan modelpembelajaran PBL lebih lanjut demi mengoptimalkan kemampuan berpikir kritispada mahasiswa kedokteran.

Abstract

he transformation of learning paradigms from teacher-centered to student-centered learning (SCL) positions students as the main actors in constructing knowledge, collaborating, and reflecting on learning outcomes. In the context of Arabic language instruction, particularly maharah kalam (speaking skills), this approach is highly relevant since speaking competence requires continuous interaction and negotiation of meaning. This study aims to improve students’ speaking skills through the integration of SCL with cooperative learning models such as Think-Pair-Share, Jigsaw, Numbered Heads Together, and role-play. The method employed is Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted over two cycles using both qualitative and quantitative approaches. Qualitative data were collected through observations, interviews, and field notes, while quantitative data were obtained from pre- and post-oral tests in each cycle. The findings indicate that in Cycle I, there was an initial improvement in students’ speaking fluency and confidence, although participation remained uneven and several students struggled with vocabulary. In Cycle II, after the implementation of vocabulary scaffolding, role rotation, performance rubrics, and peer feedback, students demonstrated more significant progress, marked by more stable fluency, more accurate vocabulary use, and more active and collaborative interaction. Challenges such as lack of confidence and unequal participation were minimized through role-based cooperative strategies. These findings affirm that the integration of SCL and cooperative learning models is effective in enhancing maharah kalam and provides practical learning designs that Arabic language teachers can apply in various educational contexts.

Abstract

Listening skills (maharah istima’) in Arabic language learning at the junior secondary level often face challenges due to the use of non-interactive and conventional teaching media, which result in low student motivation. At MTsN 1 Lamongan, students’ listening proficiency remains limited because learning activities tend to rely on traditional methods and static materials. Meanwhile, digital media such as Wordwall offer interactive features and audio-based exercises that can create a more engaging learning environment. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of Wordwall-based interactive digital media in improving the listening skills of seventh-grade students at MTsN 1 Lamongan. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observations, interviews, listening tests, and documentation. The findings indicate that Wordwall successfully increased student engagement and motivation. Interactive exercises—such as audio-based multiple-choice questions and matching games—helped students better comprehend listening materials. However, several challenges emerged, including unclear audio quality and unstable internet connectivity. Overall, the study concludes that Wordwall is an effective tool for enhancing listening skills, provided that technical limitations are adequately addressed. These findings support the use of Wordwall as an innovative alternative learning medium in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the variation in Arabic language proficiency at Sekolah Indonesia Jeddah (SIJ). In the context of the students' social environment, challenges arise due to the duality of languages ??faced by students, where Indonesian is used as the language of instruction at school, while Arabic is the dominant language in the surrounding community. This causes significant variation in students' proficiency in formal Arabic (fushah). The research methods used include observation and interviews with students and teachers at SIJ. The results showed that grade XI students generally have lower Arabic language proficiency compared to grade XII students, which is influenced by their language preferences and social environment. Most students are more comfortable using English or Indonesian in everyday interactions, even though they live in an Arabic-speaking country. External factors also play an important role in the development of students' Arabic language skills. Social interactions outside the family environment, as well as early exposure to Arabic, have been shown to influence students' language skills. However, many Indonesian families in Saudi Arabia prefer to use Indonesian at home, which reduces students' opportunities to practice Arabic naturally. The national curriculum, which is more oriented towards Indonesian as the main language of instruction in learning, is also a factor that influences students' Arabic language skills. Arabic is taught as an additional subject, which has the potential to limit students' mastery of formal Arabic. This study is expected to provide insight into the development of more effective learning methods in improving students' Arabic language skills at SIJ.

Abstract

Proses pembelajaran di Program Studi Pendidikan Dokter Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Abulyatama mengadopsi sistem pembelajaran blok. Materi kedokteran dibagi menjadi beberapa unit tematik atau berfokus pada suatu topik. Ujian merupakan salah satu alat evaluasi utama dalam dunia pendidikan termasuk pendidikan kedokteran berfungsi mengukur pencapaian kompetensi, pengetahuan dan keterampilan. Ujian memberikan umpan balik kepada mahasiswa, dosen dan institusi pendidikan untuk memperbaiki proses pembelajaran dan kesiapan mahasiswa menghadapi tantangan dunia medis. Faktor internal dan eksternal memengaruhi hasil ujian secara signifikan. Hasil belajar mahasiswa merupakan indikator utama keberhasilan akademik. Hasil ujian blok mahasiswa angkatan 2023 Program Studi Pendidikan Dokter Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Abulyatama memperlihatkan bahwa tingkat kelulusan ujian masih rendah. Tujuan umum penelitian menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi hasil ujian mahasiswa angkatan 2023 Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Abulyatama. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan rancangan fenomenologi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui Focus Group Discussion (FGD) terhadap 24 mahasiswa angkatan 2023 yang terdiri dari 2 kelompok lulus dan 2 kelompok tidak lulus ujian. Wawancara mendalam dilakukan kepada 3 staf pengajar dan 3 pemimpin pengambil kebijakan Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Abulyatama. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dari bulan April-Mei tahun 2025. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan jawaban yang relatif sama dari mahasiswa yang lulus dan tidak lulus. Keberhasilan dalam ujian dipengaruhi oleh kombinasi faktor yang berasal dari mahasiswa, staf pengajar, ujian dan sarana prasarana. Secara umum mahasiswa angkatan 2023, staf pengajar dan pemimpin pengambil kebijakan berpendapat bahwa faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi hasil ujian mahasiswa bukan hanya akibat ketidaksiapan individu tetapi dipengaruhi juga oleh manajemen akademik, kualitas pengajaran dan sarana prasarana yang belum optimal. Saran bagi mahasiswa yaitu persiapan diri secara maksimal dalam menghadapi ujian dengan memahami konsep pembelajaran.

Abstract

Menstruasi pertama kali muncul pada masa remaja yaitu di usia 11-13 tahun. Pada masa ini pendidikan dini mengenai kebersihan diri saat menstruasi merupakan salah satu aspek penting dan menjadi langkah awal pada upaya peningkatan pengetahuan remaja mengenai kesehatan organ reproduksi. Rendahnya pengetahuan tentang kesehatan reproduksi akan menimbulkan perilaku personal hygiene yang buruk pada perempuan saat menstruasi, hal ini dapat membahayakan kesehatan reproduksinya sendiri. Dalam hal ini, tingkat pengetahuan remaja terkait personal hygiene berpengaruh terhadap perilaku personal hygiene saat menstruasi. Tujuan pada penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan dengan perilaku personal hygiene saat menstruasi pada siswi Jenis penelitian ini adalah analitik dengan desain cross-sectional study. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah random sampling. Sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 77 siswi. Analisis data menggunakan uji univariat dan bivariat. Hasil analisis univariat menunjukkan pengetahuan siswi tentang personal hygiene didominasi oleh kategori baik yaitu 78% (60 orang). Perilaku personal hygiene saat menstruasi pada siswi didominasi oleh kategori baik yaitu 64% (49 orang). Hasil analisis bivariat menggunakan uji statistik chi-square didapatkan nilai p-value pengetahuan dengan perilaku personal hygiene saat menstruasi didapatkan nilai p-value = 0,017 < 0,05 artinya terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan dengan perilaku personal hygiene saat menstruasi pada siswi MTsN 4 Banda Aceh.

Abstract

Penggunaan gadget yang meningkat di kalangan remaja menimbulkan kekhawatiran terhadap kesehatan mata, terutama risiko terjadinya miopia dan astigmatisme. Faktor seperti durasi, jarak, dan posisi penggunaan gadget diduga berpengaruh terhadap gangguan refraksi ini. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis hubungan antara durasi, jarak, dan posisi penggunaan gadget dengan kejadian miopia dan astigmatisme pada remaja di Poli Mata Rumah Sakit Pertamedika Ummi Rosnati Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini merupakan studi observasional analitik dengan desain cross sectional. Sampel berjumlah 96 responden remaja yang menderita miopia atau astigmatisme. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan pemeriksaan visus, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji Chi-square. Sebagian besar responden berusia 17–21 tahun (64,6%) dan berjenis kelamin perempuan (77,1%). Mayoritas menggunakan gadget >3 jam/hari (58,3%), dengan jarak pandang <30 cm (65,6%), dan posisi berbaring (52,1%). Namun, hasil uji statistik menunjukkan tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara durasi, jarak, maupun posisi penggunaan gadget dengan kejadian miopia dan astigmatisme (p>0,05).
