Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD (Student Teams Achievement Division) terhadap hasil belajar ekonomi siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Lubuk Pakam. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen semu desain One Group Pretest–Posttest, dengan sampel sebanyak 36 siswa yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes pilihan ganda yang telah melalui uji validitas, reliabilitas, tingkat kesukaran, dan daya pembeda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar ekonomi siswa setelah diterapkan model STAD, di mana rata-rata nilai posttest lebih tinggi dibandingkan pretest. Uji prasyarat data menunjukkan distribusi normal dan homogen, sehingga layak untuk dianalisis lebih lanjut. Analisis regresi linier sederhana menghasilkan persamaan Y = 27,069 + 2,114X dengan nilai R² = 0,884, yang berarti sebesar 88,4% variasi hasil belajar dipengaruhi oleh penerapan STAD. Uji t menunjukkan t hitung 16,118 > t tabel 2,048 dengan signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga hipotesis penelitian diterima. Selain itu, hasil uji N-Gain sebesar 0,6819 (68,19%) termasuk kategori sedang menuju tinggi, yang menegaskan bahwa model STAD efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Dengan demikian, penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD terbukti berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar ekonomi serta dapat dijadikan alternatif strategi pembelajaran yang inovatif dan efektif di SMA Negeri 2 Lubuk Pakam.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model on students' learning outcomes in the Economics subject for Grade XI students of the Hospitality Program at SMK Negeri 8 Medan. This research is motivated by the low academic performance of students in Economics, especially in the topic of entrepreneurship. The CTL model is designed to relate the learning material to students' real-life contexts to improve their conceptual understanding in a more meaningful way. This study employed a quantitative method with a pre-experimental design using the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample consisted of 33 students from class XI PH 2, selected randomly from the population of Grade XI Hospitality students. Data collection instruments included multiple-choice tests covering the cognitive aspects of learning outcomes, which were previously tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis techniques used in this study included descriptive analysis, normality test, simple linear regression, t-test, F-test, and N-Gain analysis. The results showed a significant increase in posttest scores compared to pretest scores. The average posttest score was higher than the pretest score. The t-test result showed that tcount = 8.359 > ttable = 2.040, indicating that the alternative hypothesis is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model has a positive and significant effect on students' learning outcomes in Economics.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in Economics subjects at senior high school, which are partly caused by the use of conventional teacher-centered learning methods. Therefore, this research aims to determine the effectiveness of the Probing Prompting learning model in improving student learning outcomes. The research employed an experimental method with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The sample consisted of two classes: the experimental class (35 students) taught using the Probing Prompting model, and the control class (36 students) taught using conventional methods. Learning outcome data were collected through pretest and posttest, and analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality test, homogeneity test, t-test, and N-Gain calculation. The results revealed that there was a significant difference in learning outcomes between the experimental and control classes. The average posttest score of the experimental class was 27.06, higher than that of the control class at 18.69. The t-test results showed tcount = -9.247 > ttable = 0.67806 with a p-value = 0.000 < 0.05. In addition, the N-Gain of the experimental class reached an average of 0.8110 or 81.10%, categorized as high, while the control class was only in the low category. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Probing Prompting learning model is effective in teaching Economics at the senior high school level. This model not only significantly improves learning outcomes but also encourages students to be more active, engage in interaction, and develop critical thinking skills during the learning process.

Abstract

Program pelayanan masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan literasi dan numerasi di kalangan anak-anak Sekolah Minggu di HKBP Bandar Klippah melalui pendekatan pembelajaran yang berbasis kasih dan perhatian. Literasi dan numerasi adalah keterampilan dasar yang mendukung perkembangan akademis anak sejak usia dini. Namun, banyak anak Sekolah Minggu masih mengalami kesulitan dalam pemahaman bacaan dan aritmetika dasar. Oleh karena itu, program ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran interaktif seperti bercerita, membaca terbimbing, permainan edukatif, dan latihan aritmetika sederhana. Program ini melibatkan mahasiswa dari Universitas HKBP Nommensen yang bekerja sama dengan guru Sekolah Minggu. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa anak-anak mengalami peningkatan dalam kelancaran membaca, pemahaman, dan aritmetika dasar. Selain itu, suasana pembelajaran yang berbasis kasih dan dorongan meningkatkan motivasi dan partisipasi anak selama kegiatan.Program ini juga memperkuat kolaborasi antara universitas dan gereja dalam mendukung perkembangan pendidikan anak-anak. Oleh karena itu, program pendidikan berbasis layanan dapat menjadi strategi yang efektif untuk mendukung pengembangan literasi dan numerasi di lingkungan pendidikan berbasis komunitas.
