Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD (Student Teams Achievement Division) terhadap hasil belajar ekonomi siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Lubuk Pakam. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen semu desain One Group Pretest–Posttest, dengan sampel sebanyak 36 siswa yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes pilihan ganda yang telah melalui uji validitas, reliabilitas, tingkat kesukaran, dan daya pembeda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar ekonomi siswa setelah diterapkan model STAD, di mana rata-rata nilai posttest lebih tinggi dibandingkan pretest. Uji prasyarat data menunjukkan distribusi normal dan homogen, sehingga layak untuk dianalisis lebih lanjut. Analisis regresi linier sederhana menghasilkan persamaan Y = 27,069 + 2,114X dengan nilai R² = 0,884, yang berarti sebesar 88,4% variasi hasil belajar dipengaruhi oleh penerapan STAD. Uji t menunjukkan t hitung 16,118 > t tabel 2,048 dengan signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga hipotesis penelitian diterima. Selain itu, hasil uji N-Gain sebesar 0,6819 (68,19%) termasuk kategori sedang menuju tinggi, yang menegaskan bahwa model STAD efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Dengan demikian, penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD terbukti berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar ekonomi serta dapat dijadikan alternatif strategi pembelajaran yang inovatif dan efektif di SMA Negeri 2 Lubuk Pakam.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model on students' learning outcomes in the Economics subject for Grade XI students of the Hospitality Program at SMK Negeri 8 Medan. This research is motivated by the low academic performance of students in Economics, especially in the topic of entrepreneurship. The CTL model is designed to relate the learning material to students' real-life contexts to improve their conceptual understanding in a more meaningful way. This study employed a quantitative method with a pre-experimental design using the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample consisted of 33 students from class XI PH 2, selected randomly from the population of Grade XI Hospitality students. Data collection instruments included multiple-choice tests covering the cognitive aspects of learning outcomes, which were previously tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis techniques used in this study included descriptive analysis, normality test, simple linear regression, t-test, F-test, and N-Gain analysis. The results showed a significant increase in posttest scores compared to pretest scores. The average posttest score was higher than the pretest score. The t-test result showed that tcount = 8.359 > ttable = 2.040, indicating that the alternative hypothesis is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model has a positive and significant effect on students' learning outcomes in Economics.
