Abstract

Along with the development of technology, many activities in the trade sector have used sales applications using barcodes. It aims to streamline time and be able to control data on sales and purchases of goods in a type of business. The purpose of this community service activity is to develop a sales information system application using a barcode so that users can easily input sales and purchase data for medicines, easily record stock cards and make reports on goods data as desired by the Baubau City Health Office and BPOM. The subject of this service activity is the owner of the Mentari Medika Pharmacy located in Lowu-Lowu Village, Lea-Lea District, Baubau City. This service activity systematically starts from needs analysis, application design, testing/implementation 1, testing/implementation 2, application \ to users and evaluation of activities and follow-up plans. The results of the activity indicate that after testing the application/implementation 1, it is necessary to add a menu to the application that is made so that application/implementation testing is necessary. In addition, this application is also equipped with a user manual, so that users are helped to operate this application.

Abstract

Ease of image manipulation is not something difficult. Images become a more effective communication medium for society. The development of software for image manipulation, increasing crime such as phishing and bullying in cyberspace. The Least Significant Bit method is a steganography method that can be used to encrypt or hide messages in images. Hiding information in various media files such as images is done to maintain the confidentiality of the messages sent. This research implements the Least Significant Bit (LSB) method to hide a message file in an image. This research carries out encryption and description of the message to be sent by inserting a file into the image. This research will also carry out a testing process for the stego image. From the results of tests that have been carried out by carrying out three processes of sending stego image files via copying files with a flash disk, email and sending via WhatsApp with a document model, the results obtained are that stego image files can still be extracted data to get messages that have been encrypted in the image, However, when the stego image file is sent via WhatsApp using the image sending method, the stego image cannot be extracted. This happens because there has been a change in the extension of the file downloaded from WhatsApp. This is also influenced by data changes in the form of file compression from the WhatsApp application. Where every file sent via the WhatsApp application will experience file compression so that data changes will occur

Abstract

Mangrove forests are one type of forest that grows in tropical and subtropical regions and plays a crucial role in maintaining ecosystem balance. One way to assess the health of mangrove communities is through regular monitoring and evaluation using modern technology such as digital image processing. The percentage of mangrove canopy cover can serve as a key indicator in evaluating the health and population density of mangrove communities. This study aims to implement the Otsu thresholding method in a digital image processing-based system capable of automatically determining the health status of mangrove communities based on the percentage of mangrove canopy cover. Mangrove canopy cover images were acquired using hemispherical photography techniques. Experimental results show that the system built using the Otsu thresholding method has an average Relative Absolute Error (RAE) of 0.034 and average Mean Error (ME) of 0.052, with an average processing time of 5.3 seconds. This indicates that the system can automatically determine the health status of mangrove communities in a relatively short time. It also suggests that the process of determining the health status of mangrove communities aligns with direct field observations.

Abstract

Based on previous observations, a series of steps using digital image processing methods is proposed for the automatic detection and counting of islands to avoid inaccuracies from satellite imagery by leveraging morphological properties of object. The need for accurate spatial data regarding the number of islands in Indonesia is crucial for various developmental purposes. Many small islands known to have beautiful landscapes remain unaccounted for due to the vast territorial waters of the country, posing challenges to manual evaluation of the numbers and distributions. Remote sensing methods offer a viable solution for efficiently counting and inventorying islands. Therefore, this study aimed to detect islands in Kepulauan Seribu, located north of DKI Jakarta, through the thresholding-based segmentation process and count the total number using morphological information. The methodology applied was Object-Based Image Analysis (OBIA), including image gray-scaling, thresholding, morphological operations, connected component labeling, and region-based object counting. The results obtained showed 111 islands, compared to direct observation of image from which 104 were found, with detection accuracy of 93.27%. The discovery not only contributes valuable insights into the specific region but also serves as a basis for potentially applying digital image processing methods on a larger scale to recalculate the number of Indonesian islands. Such recalculations could play a crucial role in informing and guiding future developmental initiatives.

Abstract

Badan Kepegawaian dan Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia Kabupaten Bombana (BKP-SDM) selaku sentral pegawai yang bertanggungjawab dalam pengelolaan Tunjangan Tambahan Penghasilan Pegawai (TPP). Salah satu penilaian dalam menghitung besaran TPP adalah penilaian disiplin kerja melalui rekapitulasi kehadiran yang dihitung menggunakan aplikasi yang sudah ada yaitu SITUKIN. Masalah yang terjadi adalah sistem presensi belum terintegrasi dengan aplikasi SITUKIN, sehingga Operator BKP-SDM harus mengolah rekapitulasi dari 30 operator Organisasi Perangkat Daerah (OPD). Hal ini yang mengakibatkan proses perhitungan menjadi kurang efektif dan efisien. Penelitian ini mengusulkan adanya web service sebagai penghubung antara aplikasi presensi dengan aplikasi SITUKIN yang sudah ada sebelumnya. Aplikasi web service dibuat berdasarkan metode pengembangan sistem waterfall dengan pengujian menggunakan black-box yang diakhiri dengan aktifitas pemeliharaan berupa pengecekan jika terjadi kesalahan dalam aplikasi web service selama digunakan oleh operator BKP-SDM.Kata kunci; Aplikasi TPP, waterfall, web service

Abstract

Kontrol kehadiran sangat penting karena selain berkaitan dengan tunjangan pegawai juga berfungsi sebagai kontrol pembinaan disiplin pegawai. Selama beberapa tahun terakhir, Badan Kepegawaian dan Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia (BKP-SDM) Kabupaten Bombana menggunakan bantuan mesin absensi berbasis fingerprint namun di masa pandemi Covid-19 ini, mesin tersebut tidak digunakan lagi karena proses absensinya yang mengharuskan pegawai untuk melakukan kontak langsung dengan mesin absensi sehingga sangat rentan terhadap penularan virus Covid-19. Untuk itu, diperlukan adanya solusi untuk mengaktifkan kembali kegiatan absensi berbasis teknologi yang lebih aman dari resiko penyebaran penyakit COVID-19 dengan memanfaatkan fitur radio frequency identification (RFID). Karakteristik RFID yang bisa bekerja secara optimal dengan jarak maksimal 15 cm dengan tag responder memungkinkan pegawai melakukan absensi tanpa kontak langsung dengan mesin absensi.Model pengembangan sistem yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rational Unified Process (RUP) yang terdiri dari fase inception, elaboration, construction, dan transition. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, disimpulkan bahwa sistem absensi berbasis RFID pada penelitian ini selain menunjukkan efektivitas dan efisiensi kontrol absensi selama masa pandemi juga mendukung protokol kesehatan dan mengurangi penyebaran virus Covid-19. Adapun responsivitas mesin terhadap kartu RFID pada penelitian ini berjalan optimal untuk jarak RFID tag dan mesin absen sebesar 1-5 cm.Kata kunci; Covid-19; Mesin Absensi; RFID; Tag responder

Abstract

Chemistry is not merely a science that only studies theory in class. Chemistry learning requires practical or experimental activities to observe and directly apply chemical concepts during face-to-face meetings in class. Meanwhile, the unavailability of laboratory facilities is one of the factors in not carrying out chemistry practice. This causes students difficulties in understanding the concept of chemistry as a whole and can potentially reduce learning motivation. This public service activity aims to implement the Hyperchem software for teachers and students of SMA Negeri 1 Mawasangka Timur as an alternative solution for chemistry labs in the form of electronic labs. The chemical topics selected and considered suitable for this type of practice were the structure and properties of chemical compounds. This activity is carried out in the form of a workshop. Workshop materials use lectures, simulations, discussions, and question-and-answer models. The activity's results showed the workshop participants' enthusiasm to use the Hyperchem software as a chemistry lab media. This is reflected in the evaluation of the workshop implementation, which is carried out by assessing the response of the workshop participants based on indicators of relevance, the ability of the presenters, ease of use, availability, and usefulness of the Hyperchem software. The evaluation results show that the workshop and the implementation of the Hyperchem software as an electronic practice media for visualizing the structure and properties of chemical compounds received a positive response from the workshop participants.

Abstract

This study aims to optimize fixed asset management at Universitas Sembilanbelas November (USN) Kolaka Campus B through the application of the straight-line depreciation method and the Fuzzy EDAS method for asset disposal. The straight-line method is used to consistently calculate asset depreciation every semester, while Fuzzy EDAS assists in making objective decisions for asset disposal by considering various criteria, such as asset age, asset value, and asset condition. The research results show that the integration of these two methods enhances asset management efficiency, minimizes the risk of errors, and supports asset utilization optimization. This system has proven to help the university manage its fixed assets more effectively, thereby extending the economic life of assets that are still usable and eliminating assets that no longer provide value. This research is expected to serve as a model for other institutions in fixed asset management

Abstract

Smart Trash Bin is a technological innovation that integrates sensors and automation systems to enhance waste management efficiency. This study aims to design and implement a Smart Trash Bin using fuzzy logic based on Arduino at SDN 5 Mawasangka, Buton Tengah. In this research, the system utilizes ultrasonic sensors to detect the trash level inside the bin, servo motors to control the automatic lid of the trash bin, and DFPlayer Mini along with a speaker to provide audio notifications to users. Fuzzy logic method is employed to regulate the system's decisions in managing the trash bin operations based on environmental conditions. The study involves the stages of design, fabrication, and system testing in the elementary school environment. The test results indicate that the designed Smart Trash Bin can effectively manage waste with adequate accuracy. It is expected that the implementation of this Smart Trash Bin can help raise awareness of environmental cleanliness within the school and surrounding community

Abstract

The utilization of digital image processing holds significant potential for classifying the ripeness of curly red peppers (Capsicum annuum L.). This study aims to develop an automatic classification method using multiclass Support Vector Machine (SVM) with a linear kernel. Images of peppers, captured using a smartphone camera, were categorized into three classes: ripe, unripe, and semi-ripe. Features such as mean, variance, and range from the RGB color space were extracted for training and testing data. Testing was conducted by dividing the data into training and test sets and employing 10-fold cross-validation. Results demonstrated a classification accuracy of 98.33%. The combination of mean, variance, and range features significantly improved accuracy compared to single features. This research demonstrates the effectiveness of the developed method and its applicability in automated classification systems to support the agricultural sector.
