Abstract

This study aims to conduct an analysis related to efforts to strengthen awareness of religious moderation in pasraman students in Mataram City. This research is based on the occurrence of several ripples of conflict with religious nuances in Lombok Island, including those that have occurred in the city of Mataram. Anticipating this, education as a vehicle for developing knowledge and values ​​for students has a central position. Education, including non-formal education, must contribute to strengthening the awareness of religious moderation to students. One of the non-formal education developed by the Hindu community is pasraman. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection using observation techniques, interviews and documentation. The data that has been obtained is then analyzed by data reduction, data verification, and conclusions drawing. Research findings show that in the city of Mataram there are 21 pasraman that carry out learning by emphasizing the values ​​of intimacy and based on local wisdom. Learning that takes place in a simple and friendly manner is one of the assets in an effort to strengthen religious moderation for students. The form of strengthening religious moderation is carried out by cognitive, affective and psychomotor. Cognitive reinforcement is done by providing the core materials of Hinduism so as to build human values. Affective reinforcement is done by building attitudes based on peace (śama), self-control (dama), asceticism (tapas), chastity (śaucaṁ), tolerance (kṣānti), honesty (ārjawaṁ), knowledge (jñānaṁ), wisdom (vijñānam), and obedient to religious principles (āstikyaṁ). While psychomotor reinforcement is carried out by practicing religious skills, which include dance exercises, percussion exercises, yoga exercises, dharma gita exercises, and Balinese script exercises supported by the provision of rewards and punishments.

Abstract

 The existence of the Regulation of the Minister of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia Number 56 of 2014 has an impact on the development of non-formal pasraman which stipulates that Hindu Religious Education is needed in order to form a Hindu community that has competence and knowledge, quality and competitiveness in the field of Hinduism. In this context, the role of pasraman is very important, especially in the field of educational development. This research focuses on two things, namely the learning strategy of Dharma Gita in increasing the values of Hindu character education and the obstacles encountered in implementing the learning strategy of Dharma Gita. The theory used to analyze the problems in this study is the theory of behaviorism by Albert Bandura and the theory of Humanism by Abraham Maslow. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive data presentation. Data collection was carried out using non-participant observation techniques, structured interviews and documentation studies. The data that has been collected is then analyzed through three steps, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the research that has been done, the following results are obtained, 1) The Dharma Gita Learning Strategy is applied in learning at the Pasraman Swasta Pranawa, namely, using Cooperative Learning Strategies and Expository learning Strategies. 2) The obstacles encountered in implementing the Dharma Gita learning strategy are internal and external factors. Internal factors include 1) children have difficulty processing notes, 2) students lack focus in learning activities, and 3) low student motivation. External factors include factors from the community environment, in a community environment children learn about norms, rules and customs in society.Keywords: Learning, Strategies, Dharma Gita, Pasraman.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the banten gebogan which has undergone a change towards modernization which explores more artistic and aesthetic values. Gebogan is a form of offering used by Hindus in a yadnya ceremony. Gebogan has been used for generations by Balinese Hindus as a means of panning to resemble a mountain. This study uses a qualitative approach with data obtained through library research and documentation studies. The data that has been collected is then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation to conclusions and the data is presented in the form of an exploratory narrative. The results of the study show that banten gebogan is one of the offerings used by Hindus to show gratitude to Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa, so traditionally they use various local ingredients/facilities. But in rhythm with the times, gebogan has changed towards a more aesthetically pleasing shape, materials/suggestions used as well as in terms of function. The changes that have taken place are based on a number of things, such as the form of devotion to Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa, expressions of art and aesthetics and the people wanting something practical, effective and efficient. Changes in gebogan to be more aesthetic and undergoing modernization are manifestations of devotional service which began with the presence of the intention to make ceremonial means full of beauty (sundaram), without forgetting the principle of truth (Satyam) and the principle of holiness (sivam).Keywords: Aesthetic, Gebogan, Hindu

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi pembelajaran yang diterapkan dalam internalisasi nilai moderasi beragama pada pasraman di Kota Mataram. Hal ini tidak terlepas dari fakta bahwa lembaga pendidikan, termasuk lembaga pendidikan non-formal menjadi wahana penting dalam upaya melakukan internalisasi moderasi beragama. Kota Mataram merupakan kota yang heterogen, dan toleransi harus selalu dipupuk sejak dini. Mengambil lokus pasraman di Kota Mataram, karena kota Mataram memiliki jumlah pasraman terbanyak untuk di Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat. Dalam penelitian digunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui Observasi langsung, wawancara terstruktur dan terbuka, serta studi dokumentasi. Data yang telah diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik data reduction, data display, dan conclusion drawing/verification. Data yang telah dianalisi kemudian diinterpretasi sesuai dengan kebutuhan penelitian. Adapun hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah a) Strategi pembelajaran kooperatif, (b) strategi pembelajaran langsung dan (c) strategi pembelajaran inkuiri. Adapun metode pembelajaran yang digunakan untuk mendukung strategi pembelajaran tersebut berupa metode ceramah, metode tanya jawab, metode kuis, metode role and play, metode demonstrasi, metode tutor sebaya, metode bernyanyi, metode diskusi, metode praktek, dan metode sad dharma.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan melakukan analisis dan kajian terkait Manajemen Pembelajaran pada Pasraman Vidya Sthana Suranadi. Manajemen pembelajaran tidak hanya berlaku pada pendidkan formal akan tetapi juga pada pendidikan non formal. Sebagaimana yang diterapkan di Pasraman Vidya Sthana Suranadi. Permasalah yang diangkat pada penelitian ini adalah (1) perencanaan pembelajaran pada Pasraman Vidya Sthana Suranadi, (2) pelaksanaan pembelajaran pada Pasraman Vidya Sthana Suranadi, (3) evaluasi pembelajaran pada Pasraman Vidya Sthana Suranadi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif atau metode kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi partisipan, wawancara terstruktur, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penerikan kesimpulan. Temuan penelitian ini didukung oleh teori kebutuhan (Maslow) dan teori Manajemen Pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan: Pertama perencanaan pembelajaran pada Pasraman dilaksanakan 5 mata pelajaran antara lain Pendidikan Agama Hindu, Aksara Bali, Yoga Asanas, Seni Tari dan Bahasa Inggris. Perencanaan pembelajaran pada Pasraman terdapat beberapa komponen yaitu: tenaga pendidik, tujuan pembelajaran, metode pembelajaran, keuangan, dan penyediaan sarana dan prasarana yang menunjang proses pembelajaran. Kedua pembelajaran dilaksanakan setiap hari Minggu sore dengan mata pelajaran yang berbeda setiap minggunya, dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar acarya melakukan 3 kegiatan inti yaitu: membuka pelajaran, memberikan materi, dan menutup pelajaran. Ketiga evaluasi pemebelajaran dilaksanakan dengan tanya jawab, ulangan harian dan praktek untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman dari brahmacari. Terdapat kebijakan-kebijakan pada evaluasi pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kualitas Pasraman dari segi acarya dan brahmacari pasraman ini.

Abstract

This paper aims to describe the correlation between the implementation of the perennial education philosophy and multicultural education in fostering an attitude of religious moderation. Reflecting on the reality that the concept of religious moderation is a very hot topic to be discussed at the moment, it is deemed necessary to revitalize the concept of multicultural education, which is actually not a new concept. In this revitalization effort, it seems that the perennial educational philosophy as a philosophical basis will contribute to the formation of a curriculum towards multicultural education. In article, the literature review method is used with data analysis techniques in the form of data reduction, verification and conclusion. The results of the study outlined in this paper show that multicultural education is an important substance to be applied in the world of education to foster an open attitude for the development of students cognition. In order to implement multicultural education in the education system, it is necessary to have a curriculum which is the main framework. The preparation of this curriculum is carried out in two processes, namely the formation of a drafting committee and the curriculum preparation process by referring to the principles of relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, continuity and flexibility. It is at this stage that the insertion of perennial philosophy can be carried out and can become a spirit for the structured curriculum. If multicultural education can be implemented, then the government's efforts to create a moderate society, especially in the realm of religion, can be carried out more optimally.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the vital position of Shiva Nataraja as a source of inspiration in the creation of dance artworks. Referring to the phenomenon that many dance artworks, especially Balinese dances are staged in the implementation of a religious ceremony, it indicates that there is a spiritual aspect that animates a dance, and the cosmic dance of Lord Shiva, known as Shiva Nataraja, is seen as the source of his inspiration. This research was conducted qualitatively with the method of literature study. Data was collected through various literatures which were then analyzed through data collection, condensation, presentation, and data verification. The results of the analysis provide research findings that the philosophy of creating dance artworks originates from the concept of pancakrtya as the five activities of God and consists of srihti, sthiti, samhara, tirabhava and anugraha. These five activities that take place repeatedly lead to the emergence of basic standards in Balinese dance such as agem, tandang, tangkis, tangkep and others.

Abstract

This research aims to carry out an analysis regarding the development of the artistic and cultural potential of Hindu students through learning activities at the pasraman. Art as a potential possessed by humans really needs to be developed to provide meaning for a child. Sometimes parents do not have the ability to guide children to develop their artistic potential. Pasraman as a center for non-formal Hindu education is a vehicle that can help students develop their potential. Apart from products in the form of mastering artistic skills, through pasraman students will be given other understandings emotionally and spiritually. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach with data presentation in the form of descriptive narratives. The data in the research was obtained through observation, interviews, documentation studies and literature studies. The data that has been obtained is then analyzed using the analysis model developed by Miles, Huberman and Saldana, which consists of data collection, condensation, presentation and data verification. The research findings show that pasraman has an important role in developing students' artistic potential through a series of training activities in the fields of dharma gita, dance and percussion (karawitan). The form of actualization of the students' artistic potential will be displayed at a piodalan ceremony at the local environmental temple. This opportunity for self-actualization fosters a sense of self-confidence for students which will then further increase motivation in developing artistic potential. Some of the challenges experienced in efforts to develop students' artistic potential at pasraman include limited teaching staff (teachers) with qualified competence, limited facilities and infrastructure, less than optimal learning evaluations, inconsistent student attendance and an unsupportive environment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis pemanfaatan media pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Hindu dan Budi Pekerti di SMA Negeri 3 Mataram. Pendidikan Agama Hindu dan Budi Pekerti merupakan mata pelajaran wajib dalam dunia pendidikan di Indonesia. Melalui mata pelajaran ini, siswa dibentuk dan diarahkan untuk mengamalkan ajaran-ajaran Agama Hindu. Namun kerap kali siswa merasa bosan, mengantuk, dan sulit memahami materi sehingga aktivitas pembelajaran tidak dapat berlangsung dengan baik dan tidak dapat mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Adanya media pembelajaran diharapkan dapat menjadi mediator dan alat bantu bagi siswa dan guru dalam proses pembelajaran sehingga aktivitas pembelajaran bisa diefektifkan dan diefisienkan serta tujuan pembelajaran dapat dicapai. Akan tetapi dalam bebeberapa penelitian sebelumnya, fungsi dan manfaat media dalam pembelajaran tidak dapat dipenuhi sehingga peneliti melakukan analisis pemanfaatan media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan metode pengumpulan data berupa observasi langsung non partisipan, wawancara langsung terstruktur, dan dokumentasi. Dalam penelitian ini, analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, disimpulkan bahwa adanya media pembelajaran dapat menunjang keberhasilan pembelajaran. Media menjadikan proses pembelajaran lebih menarik, lebih efektif dan efisien, dan lebih interaktif sehingga membuat siswa semangat dan antusias dalam mengikuti aktivitas pembelajaran serta memudahkan siswa dalam memahami materi yang diajarkan. Meskipun adanya media belum mampu membuat siswa selalu semangat, antusias, fokus kedepan dan aktif bertanya.
