Abstract

In improving the quality of service to provide satisfaction to students, SMAN 1 Berastagi needs efforts to meet student expectations, so that students get satisfaction with the services provided by SMAN 1 Berastagi. Student satisfaction with the quality of services received can be measured using Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). Physical evidence, dependability, responsiveness, assurance, and care are the five aspects of service quality that make up service quality, which is an important term for service consumers. Of the 20 attributes asked to students, there are 2 attributes that are in the A quadrant important and anticipated. Prioritizing improvements in this dimension needs to be done. Factors included in quadrant A include ease of access to school services and ease of contact for educators.

Abstract

In various types of statistical analysis, the Weibull distribution is an important continuous probability distribution. One crucial aspect of studying this distribution is estimating its parameters. The maximum likelihood method is the approach used for the two-parameter Weibull distribution. This method aims to determine the parameter values by maximizing the likelihood function based on the available data. The advantages of the maximum likelihood method lie in its properties, such as consistency, efficiency, and asymptotic normality. Since the form of the likelihood function in the Weibull distribution is quite complex and cannot be solved analytically, numerical solutions are required. One approach used is the Newton-Raphson method, which serves to approximate the parameter values or find the optimal solution.

Abstract

Clustering is one of the fields of study that discusses data. Clustering is used to find and group data based on its traits or characteristics. Clustering can also be used for class-identified data. However, the clustering method automatically clusters the data before the class identifier is known. Based on the data obtained, the city of Medan, which has a population of approximately 2,460,858 people and an area of 26,510 hectares or 3.6% of the total area of North Sumatra Province, is classified as Flood-prone (BPS). Floods that occur almost 10 to 12 times a year in Medan City are influenced by the condition of the downstream Deli and Belawan rivers. Based on the results of the k-means clustering that has been carried out, the areas that are safe from flooding are the districts of Meddan Amplas, Medan Denai, Medan Area, Medan Kota, Medan Petisah, Medan Perjuangan, Medan Tembung, Medan Deli, and Medan Labuhan. Areas prone to flooding are Medan Tuntungan, Medan Sunggal, Medan Helvetia, West Medan, and Medan Marelan. Meanwhile, the areas most prone to flooding are Medan Johor, Medan Maimun, Medan Polonia, Medan Baru, Medan Selayang, Medan Timur, and Medan Belawan based on the evaluation of the accuracy of the silhouette method of 0.9 and can be declared significant.

Abstract

Instant noodle consumption in Indonesia has continued to increase in the last few years, which indicates that there are more business opportunities for instant noodle products in Indonesia. Proved by the number of instant noodle brands scattered on the market. This has led to increased competition among companies in order to be the best in the eyes of consumers. Marketing strategies are needed to win competition as well as increase sales, ranging from taste innovations, prices, product quality, promotions, and so on. In this study, game theory is used to investigate the competition between Mie Sedaap, Gaga, and Supermi. Using pure strategy is obtained game value that shows that the optimal strategy for Mie Sedaap is ease of purchase, the optimum strategy for Gaga is packaging strategy, and the optimum strategy for Supermi is price strategy.

Abstract

Factor analysis is a statistical method aimed at exploring correlations or relationships among variables studied, which are then grouped into fewer new factors. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is a statistical technique used to reduce the dimensions of data with the goal of identifying hidden patterns or significant structures within the data. The research results indicate the presence of 5 factors influencing the decision-making process in online shopping among students of the University of North Sumatra via Shopee, namely the Funding Application Factor (28.141%), Information Reputation Factor (13.983%), Communication Satisfaction Factor (7.452%), Types and Compensation Factor (6.683%), and Guarantees and Prices Factor (5.794%). These five factors obtained a cumulative variance of 62.051%, indicating that they influence online shopping decisions through Shopee among University of North Sumatra students by 62.051%.

Abstract

Rumah Sakit Advent Medan sebagai pelayanan kesehatan harus memerhatikan kualitas pelayanan termasuk pada pelayanan kefarmasian. Pelayanan kefarmasian adalah suatu pelayanan langsung dan bertanggung jawab kepada pasien dalam menyediakan obat untuk meningkatkan mutu kehidupan pasien. Pada hasil pengamatan diperoleh bawa rata-rata waktu tunggu sebesar 0,7652 jam atau 45 menit. Sehingga menjadi suatu masalah bagi rumah sakit mengenai sistem antreannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui upaya yang dilakukan Rumah Sakit untuk memperbaiki waktu tunggu dalam antrean. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, salah satunya adalah melakukan analisis pada sistem pelayanan dengan menggunakan teori antrean dengan disiplin antrean First In First Out (FIFO) yang disimulasikan melalui software ARENA 16.0. Dari hasil simulasi model awal yang rata-rata waktu tunggu sebesar 0,7652 jam atau 45 menit dan utilitas atau tingkat kesibukan sebesar 97,42%. Dengan demikian dibuat simulasi model usulan perbaikan, skenario terpilih yaitu skenario 3 dengan menambahkan 3 pekerja untuk melayani dalam pembuatan obat dan dari hasil simulasi diperoleh rata-rata waktu tunggu sebesar 0,0847 jam atau 5 menit dan utilitas atau tingkat kesibukan sebesar 75,08% sehingga dapat terlihat perbedaan yang signifikan, banyak pasien yang datang dengan pasien yang keluar adalah sama, sehingga semua pelanggan dapat terlayani. Dapat dikatakan pada skenario 3 server tidak sibuk sehingga pelayanan yang diberikan dapat cepat dan baik membuat pasien merasa puas dan pelayanan dapat dikatakan optimal.

Abstract

Dalam penelitian ini, model ARIMA-GARCH digunakan untuk meramalkan harga saham dan volatilitas, sedangkan Hidden Markov Model (HMM) digunakan untuk mendeteksi tren tersembunyi berdasarkan hasil peramalan tersebut. Data yang digunakan adalah data historis harga saham harian PT Bukit Asam Tbk periode Oktober 2022 hingga Oktober 2023. Dari model ARIMA-GARCH diperoleh model terbaik untuk meramalkan harga saham pembukaan dan penutupan PT Bukit Asam Tbk adalah ARIMA(0,1,1)-GARCH(1,0) dan ARIMA(1,1,0)-GARCH(1,0) dengan persamaan dan . Hasil peramalan ini akan digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi dan meramalkan tren tersembunyi dalam pergerakan harga saham. Berdasarkan hasil analisis Hidden Markov Model (HMM), seluruh hidden state menunjukkan kondisi bearish yang mengindikasikan bahwa pasar secara keseluruhan berada dalam tren penurunan, meskipun terdapat fluktuasi harian pada harga saham. Kata Kunci : ARIMA-GARCH, Hidden Markov Model, Peramalan, Saham, Tren Pasar.

Abstract

This study proposes a novel optimization framework for the vehicle routing problem with heterogeneous time windows, a critical aspect in logistics and supply chain operations. Unlike conventional vehicle routing problem (VRP) models that assume uniform service schedules and fleet capacities, our approach acknowledges the diverse time constraints and vehicle specifications often encountered in real-world scenarios. By formulating the problem as a mixed integer linear programming model, we incorporate constraints related to time windows, vehicle load capacities, and travel distances. To tackle the NP-hard complexity, we employ a hybrid strategy combining metaheuristic algorithms with exact methods, thus ensuring both solution quality and computational efficiency. Extensive computational experiments, conducted on benchmark datasets and real-world logistics data, confirm the superiority of our model in terms of solution quality, runtime, and adaptability. These findings underscore the model’s practicality for industries facing dynamic routing requirements and tight service windows. Furthermore, the proposed framework equips decision-makers with a robust tool for optimizing route planning, ultimately enhancing service quality, reducing operational costs, and promoting more reliable delivery outcomes.

Abstract

This study explores the application of the Extended Finite Element Method (XFEM) for modeling fracture behavior, utilizing COMSOL Multiphysics 5.6 to simulate a homogeneous concrete medium without embedded reinforcement. The computational model incorporates key parameters such as stress ratio (Young’s modulus of 137.9 MPa), lateral strain from axial loading (Poisson’s ratio of 0.17), concrete density of 2.4 g/cm³, and a crack growth rate governed by Paris’ law. The simulation results show a maximum stress intensity factor ( ) of 66.2 and a failure point occurring after approximately 22,568 load cycles. A mixture comprising 25% clamshell ash and lime was used as a sustainable cement substitute, achieving a maximum compressive strength of 20.53 MPa—meeting the structural concrete standard. These findings contribute to enhancing predictive fracture models and promoting sustainable material innovation in civil engineering.
