Abstract

Tujuan dilaksanakannya penelitian ini untuk melakukan seleksi kambing PE sebagai induk yang akan dikawinkan melalui inseminasi buatan dengan semen kambing Boer melalui evaluasi morfometrik di Sleman, Yogyakarta. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah induk kambing PE sebanyak 24 ekor. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan analisa regresi dan korelasi untuk mencari hubungan antara panjang badan, lingkar dada, lingkar perut, dan tinggi badan kambing PE betina terhadap bobot badannya. Setelah itu, kambing PE diinseminasi dengan semen pejantan Boer untuk mendapatkan informasi Conception rate nya. Hasil penelitian ini menjukkan bahwa panjang badan, lingkar dada, lingkar perut dan tinggi badan kambing PE berkorelasi dengan bobot badannya. Hubungan antara panjang badan, lingkar dada, lingkar perut kambing PE dengan Bobot badannya sangat erat dengan nilai koefisien korelasi  R2 masing-masing 0,75; 0,75 dan 0,72 sedangkan hubungan antara tinggi badan dengan bobot badan tergolong erat yaitu dengan nilai koefisein korelasi R2 sebesar 0,50. Conseption rate hasil perkawinan kambing PE dengan pejantan Boer melalui inseminasi buatan pada peneltian ini sebesar 45,83%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat keeratan hubungan yang tinggi antara mofometrik dan bobot badan induk kambing PE dengan keberhasilan kebuntingan sebesar 45,83%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penambahan susu skim pada grain kefir dari lokasi berbeda terhadap total khamir dan total asam tertitrasi (TAT). Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Terpadu Universitas Islam Malang pada Juli–Desember 2025. Bahan yang digunakan meliputi susu sapi segar dan grain kefir yang berasal dari tiga lokasi berbeda, yaitu Malang (A1), Banyumas (A2), dan Tasikmalaya (A3). Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) pola faktorial dua faktor, yaitu faktor A (asal grain kefir) dan faktor B (konsentrasi penambahan susu skim), yang terdiri atas B0 (0%), B1 (6%), dan B2 (8%), dengan tiga ulangan. Variabel yang diamati adalah total khamir dan total asam tertitrasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis ragam (ANOVA) dan dilanjutkan dengan uji BNT apabila terdapat pengaruh nyata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa asal grain kefir tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap total khamir, dengan nilai rata-rata berkisar antara 5,9 × 10⁹ hingga 1,1 × 10¹⁰ CFU/ml. Penambahan susu skim hingga 8% juga tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap total khamir, serta tidak terdapat interaksi antara kedua faktor tersebut. Sebaliknya, asal grain kefir berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap total asam tertitrasi. Grain kefir asal Banyumas (A2) menghasilkan nilai TAT tertinggi sebesar 0,92%, diikuti Malang (0,84%) dan Tasikmalaya (0,76%). Penambahan susu skim dan interaksi antara asal grain dan konsentrasi skim tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap nilai TAT, dengan kisaran nilai 0,83–0,85%, yang masih berada dalam standar mutu kefir segar menurut SNI (0,6–1,2%). Penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa karakteristik mikroba pada grain kefir dari lokasi berbeda lebih berperan dalam pembentukan total asam tertitrasi dibandingkan penambahan susu skim, sedangkan total khamir relatif stabil terhadap kedua perlakuan. Grain kefir asal Banyumas berpotensi menghasilkan kefir dengan tingkat keasaman terbaik. Saran selanjutnya perlu melakukan penelitian lebih lanjut dengan variabel lain seperti uji organoleptik, viskositas, kadar protein serta menambahkan susu skim lebih dari 8%. Kata kunci: kefir, susu skim, grain kefir, khamir, TAT

Abstract

Given the importance of enhancing local livestock productivity, this study evaluated the phenotypic traits of Boer × Peranakan Ettawa (Boer-PE) crossbred offspring. The objective was to identify superior individuals for the development of a specialized meat-type goat lineage in Indonesia. Nineteen Boer-PE offspring, consisting of nine females and ten males, were monitored from birth to four weeks of age. Morphometric data, including body weight, body length, wither height, chest circumference, and ear dimensions, were recorded and analyzed to identify the performance of their parental breeds. The results showed that the crossbred progeny had higher average body weight and improved morphometrical attributes as compared to the native PE goats, which indicated the presence of positive heterosis. Female offspring Boer-PE goats had the average weight gain of 1.8 kg, with chest circumference of 36.86 cm, body height of 36 cm, and body length of 36 cm. Males offspring showed higher performance, with an average weight gain of 2.0 kg, chest circumference of 39.13 cm, body height of 42.25 cm and body length of 39.13 cm. These findings showed that Boer-PE crossbred goats have significant potential in the selection as the starting stock in meat type goat breeding initiatives. It is recommended to carry out further generational analysis in conjunction with molecular genetic research to confirm that the performance is stable, and that the beneficial traits are hereditary.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the profile of beef cattle farming in Padang Savana, Pekat District, Dompu Regency and also to analyze the potential for developing beef cattle farming in Padang Savana, Pekat District, Dompu Regency. The method used in this study was a qualitative descriptive approach. This research was implemented from September 1, 2024, to September 30, 2024 , taking place in Padang Savana, Pekat District, Dompu Regency . The results of this study show that the savannah in Pekat District, Dompu Regency has an area of 2000 hectares with a total population of 46,177 animals consisting of cattle, goats, horses, and buffalo spread across 12 villages. The total carrying capacity of the savannah in Pekat District, Dompu Regency is 154,922 animals. The SWOT analysis of the savannah in Pekat District, Dompu Regency consists of Strengths of the grazing fields which have a land area of 2000 hectares , the grazing fields which have the largest population in Dompu Regency , the grazing fields which have the largest contribution to the livestock economy in Dompu Regency. Weaknesses of the grazing fields which are only covered by grass with low nutritional content , the grazing fields which have a drinking water crisis for livestock in the dry season , suboptimal disease prevention management. Opportunities for planting superior grass seeds that have high nutritional content to meet the needs of livestock green fodder , procurement of irrigation systems or drilling water sources , sustainable grazing programs . Threats for attacks animal cruelty to livestock , less than optimal security , conversion of land into agricultural land, causing conflict between livestock breeders and farmers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pemberian minuman isotonik terhadap respon anti stress ayam broiler saat transportasi. Ternak percobaan yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini , ayam broiler jantan sebanyak 75 ekor strain lohman umur 21 hari. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode eksperimen, menggunakan rancangan RAL( Rancangan acak lengkap) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Setiap ulangan terdiri dari 5 ekor ayam broiler. Perlakuan pertama yaitu (1) P0 kontrol pemberian air minum biasa (2) P1 pemberian air gula merah (3) P2 pemberian air garam 2g/l (4)P3 pemberian air kelapa (1:4) (5) P4 pemberian minuman isotonik , setiap perlakuan diberikan dengan dosis 20-50 ml. Analisis data pada riset ini menggunakan analisis of variance (ANOVA). Parameter yang diukur yaitu bobot organ pencernaan: Ventrikulus, proventikulus, duodenum, jejunum, ileum, caeca. Rata-rata bobot organ pencernaan yaitu 17,75  gram. Hasil penelitian  menunjukan pemberian minuman isotonik berbasis air kelapa tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap bobot organ pencernaan ayam broiler pasca transportasi P>0,05. Pemberian minuman isotonik tidak memberikan dampak yang signifikan terhadap berat organ pencernaan ayam broiler.Kata Kunci : minuman isotonik, ayam broiler. THE EFFECT OF PROVIDING ISOTONIC DRINKS ON THE WEIGHT OF BROILER DIGESTIVE ORGANS POST-TRANSPORTATION AbstractThis study aims to analyze the effect of giving isotonic drinks on the anti-stress response of broiler chickens during transportation. The experimental livestock used for this study were 75 male broiler chickens of the Lohman strain aged 21 days. The research method used was the experimental method, using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications. Each replication consisted of 5 broiler chickens. The first treatment was (1) P0 control given regular drinking water (2) P1 given brown sugar water (3) P2 given 2g/l salt water (4) P3 given coconut water (1:4) (5) P4 given isotonic drinks, each treatment was given at a dose of 20-50 ml. Data analysis in this study used analysis of variance (ANOVA). The parameters measured were the weight of the digestive organs: Ventriculus, proventriculus, duodenum, jejunum, ileum, caeca. The average weight of the digestive organs was 17.75 grams. The results of the study showed that the administration of coconut water-based isotonic drinks had no significant effect on the weight of the digestive organs of broiler chickens after transportation (P>0.05). The administration of isotonic drinks did not have a significant impact on the weight of the digestive organs of broiler chickens. Keywords: isotonic drinks, broiler chickens
