Abstract

information and communication has opened a new chapter for the public to obtain information autonomously. Information barriers are automatically opened by the strong desire of individuals who always want to know the lates information regarding any matter. The development of education that is increasingly contemporary and the demands of todays era cannot be denied, marked by the rapid development of information technology. Which has produced significant changes. Therefore, information technology as a basis for the development of multicultural Islamic education institutions is very important if implemented, because it will make it easier for institutions to move forward. We use this opportunity as a golden opportunity for institutional development. The research used is qualitative. Information technology is very useful for institutional development, namely the existence of institutional content, utilizing the media as an integrated data bank for each division, as a media teamword, providing a special website for new student registration, and having a special institutional website to facilitate user access.

Abstract

Abstrak: Meningkatnya kebutuhan masyarakat akan Pendidikan tinggi yang berkualitas menjadi tantangan bagi perguruan tinggi swasta (PTS) untuk berlomba-lomba menarik minat masyarakat agar memilih institusinya. Ditengah persaingan yang cukup berat, peningkatan mutu menjadi hal yang mutlak bagi PTS agar tetap eksis. PTS dituntut untuk dapat memberikan pelayanan yang sebaik-baiknya kepada masyarakat dan berorientasi kepada kebutuhan masyarakat. Pendampingan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan akomodasi bagi internasionalisasi PTS, meningkatkan daya saing, meningkatkan kualitas proses pembelajaran dan kualitas manajemen internal, serta untuk meningkatkan kinerja dalam rangka memenangkan persaingan tersebut. Pendampingan yang telah dilakukan oleh Program Pascasarjana, Universitas Islam Malang, untuk mewujudkan Good University Governance dilakukan di empat universitas, antara lain: Universitas Islam Kadiri, Universitas Kadiri, Universitas Wahidiyah Kediri, dan STKIP Modern Ngawi selama bulan Februari 2023. Hasil pendampingan menunjukkan bahwa keempat perguruan tinggi telah menerapkan prinsip Good University Governance yang meliputi: transparansi, akuntabilitas, kemandirian, tanggung jawab, dan kewajaran.Abstract: The increasing public demand for quality higher education is a challenge for private tertiary institutions (PTS) to compete in attracting the public's interest in choosing their institution. In the midst of quite tough competition, quality improvement is absolutely essential for PTS to continue to exist. PTS is required to be able to provide the best possible service to the community and be oriented to the needs of the community. This assistance aims to provide accommodation for the internationalization of PTS, increase competitiveness, improve the quality of the learning process and the quality of internal management, as well as to improve performance in order to win the competition. Assistance that has been carried out by the Postgraduate Program, Islamic University of Malang, to realize Good University Governance was carried out at four universities, including: Kadiri Islamic University, Kadiri University, Wahidiyah Kediri University, and STKIP Modern Ngawi during February 2023. The results of the assistance show that the four universities have implemented the principles of Good University Governance which include: transparency, accountability, independence, responsibility, and fairness.

Abstract

The issue of character education and morality for the Indonesian generation entering the era of society 5.0 has received serious attention from all circles, both from the government and the community. This is motivated by the fact that there are a number of cases concerning morality and national character which are increasingly showing a shift and need to be improved immediately. Pesantren Tebuireng is well aware of this phenomenon. This pesantren has implemented character education for a long time, and even since the first time this institution was founded. The view that has always been used as a guide for this pesantren is al-muhafadzatu 'ala al-Qadimi al- Salih wa al-Akhdu bi al-Jadidi al-Ashlah.`The purpose of this study is to uncover, describe, analyze, and then provide an interpretation of the research findings; 1) Exploration of the Value of Multicultural Perspective Character Education 2) Practice of Multicultural Perspective Character Education and 3) Construction Model of Multicultural Perspective Character Education. The theory used in the value exploration aspect uses the Grand Theory of multiculturalism offered by Abdullah Aly. Meanwhile, in the construction and practical aspects, Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckman, Imam al-Ghazali, James A. Banks, and Thomas Likona's theories are used. This research method is categorized as qualitative research while the approach is a case study. Data collection techniques were carried out through, a) observation, b) in-depth interviews c) document analysis. The data source was selected through a snowball pattern (snowball sampling). While the data analysis technique refers to the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana, namely through; (1) data condensation; (2) presentation of data, and (3) drawing conclusions. Confirmability is carried out through data collection, data reconstruction. Checking the validity of the data is done through extension of participation, persistence of observation, and triangulation. The results of this study indicate that: 1) the exploration of the character values of the multicultural perspective that grows and develops in this boarding school there are 22 values which are conceptually grouped into three parts: a) the values of nationalist characters, b) values of social character, c) religious values 2) the praxis of educational learning is implemented through activities and various dimensions or approaches. 3) Thus, the findings of the new model in this study are a multiculturalist spiritual construction model and a transformative construction model: Traditional & Modern integration.

Abstract

The use of audio-visual media is considered an activity that can attract students' attention during teaching and learning activities. Audio-visual media is expected to be a medium that helps students understand the material and enjoy learning. These conditions, of course, aim to increase students' learning motivation to improve the quality of learning in the classroom, especially for PAI subjects. So, in the proof, the researcher wants to test the effect of audio-visual media on students' learning motivation in Islamic History Materials for Class V MI Mambaul Ulum Pakis Malang students. The research approach used in this research is quantitative research. Namely, research methods based on the philosophy of positivism are used to examine specific populations or samples. The research design used in this study was a quasi-experimental research design (Quasi Experiment) which involved one group of research objects. Then test the homogeneity of variance using Levene's equality of error variances test. Audio-visual learning media affects the learning motivation of fifth-grade students at MI Mambaul Ulum Pakis Malang. The paired t-test analysis results showed that the student's learning motivation before and after using audio-visual learning media was different from the t-test result of 4.01 with a significance level of 0.000 <0.05. The effectiveness of increasing the learning motivation of fifth-grade students at MI Mambaul Ulum Pakis Malang before and after using audio-visual learning media can be shown from the increase in the student learning motivation questionnaire results by 35.22% and the observation results of student learning motivation by 44.86%.

Abstract

Pesantren is an Islamic educational institution that has multicultural characteristics. The students who study at Islamic boarding schools generally come from various regions in Indonesia and even other countries with various ethnicities, races, cultures, languages, and family backgrounds from different socio-economic backgrounds. There are also variants of the education system in pesantren ranging from formal, non-formal, and informal education. The variety of diversity handled by an Islamic boardischoolsool often causes various phenomena of friction between students. So that a formula or approach to solving students' misbehavior is needed in solving and building constructive solutions through understanding, attitudes, and behavior of mutual respect in instilling the values ​​of multicultural Islamic education that have been developed in Islamic boarding schools. This study aims to analyze and find the basis of values, learning processes, and educational models of Islamic boarding schools in multicultural Islamic religious learning as a conflict resolution for students at Islamic boarding schools Nurul Islam Antirogo and Islamic boarding schools al-Qodiri Jember. This study uses a qualitative approach, a type of case study with a multi-site design. Data collection uses in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document studies. Data analysis used interactive analysis the Miles & Hubermantechnique of checking the validity of the data is used by credibility by using triangulation of data and sources, dependability, conformability, and transformability. The results of the research show (1) the foundation of values ​​(a) The introduction of ma'had and ta'aruf to respect each other, accept and strengthen equality not difference with the cultural values ​​of multicultural Indonesian citizenship with the core of civic virtue (ukhuwah Islamiyah, wathoniyah and basyariyah) (b) Islam rahmatan lil alamin as a religion of love, safety and peace, (c) the values ​​of aswajaan tawassuth (moderate), tawazun (balanced ), tasamuh (tolerance), ta'awun (help), husnudlan (favorable) and i'tidal (fair) in the process of multicultural Islamic religious education and solving students' problems/conflicts. The cause of the santri conflict is the difficulty factor in building new relationships with differences. The conflict resolution approach develops from Levin: parsing problems, solving problems, removing or eliminating problems, building reconciliation, and developing togetherness.

Abstract

Purpose – This research aims to explore the management of early childhood education (PAUD) within the context of pesantren, specifically at the Salafiyah Karangpandan Pesantren in Pasuruan. This study addresses a gap in previous research by focusing on the planning, organization, implementation, and supervision of early childhood education management in a pesantren environment, providing both theoretical and practical insights. Design/methods/approach – This study employs a qualitative case study design to understand the phenomena of PAUD management at Salafiyah Karangpandan Pesantren, Pasuruan Indonesia contextually and empirically. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observations, and document analysis. Participants included caregivers of the pesantren, the headmaster, coordinators, educators, and administrative staff, selected through purposive and snowball sampling techniques. Data were analyzed using an interactive analysis model that encompasses data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. Findings – The study found that effective PAUD management in pesantren involves strategic planning focused on the vision of promoting Quranic reading with tartil. An organizational structure based on competence, trust, familial relationships, and welfare creates a productive work environment. Implementation is guided by charismatic leadership and a supportive religious atmosphere, adhering to the Qira’ati system. Supervision through scheduled and conditional evaluations ensures continuous quality improvement. Research implications – These findings highlight the importance of a holistic approach in the management of early childhood education within the pesantren environment, suggesting that effective planning, organization, implementation, and supervision are crucial. This research can serve as a guide for policymakers, educators, and pesantren administrators to enhance PAUD quality by adopting the Qira’ati system and ensuring charismatic leadership.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how to shape the entrepreneurial spirit of students through the values of multicultural Islamic education. The research method uses qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Methods of data collection using interviews, observation and documentation. We use the triangulation method to check the validity of the data. This study uses qualitative descriptive data analysis techniques by reducing data, presenting verification data and drawing conclusions. From the results of the study it was concluded that in forming the entrepreneurial spirit of students at the Bahrul Maghfiroh Islamic Boarding School, it was 1). The values of multicultural Islamic education that are instilled are four values, namely shidiq, amanah, tabligh, fathonah and five values, namely ta'aruf, tasawuth, tawazun, tasamuh, ta'awun which is called the spirit of 45. 2) The implementation process involves all pesantren elements in formal and non-formal education consisting of human elements and non-human elements in pesantren activities, learning activities, pesantren traditions, the involvement of students in running pesantren businesses and the example of kyai, ustadz/teachers. 3). The implementation model that is applied is to integrate the spirit of 45 in every activity and learning in Islamic boarding schools and the role mode of the kyai with a top down strategy to form an entrepreneurial spirit in the form of: passion: having high enthusiasm to pursue their dreams, independent being able to independently realize their dreams, opportunity creation: awareness of existence must pay attention to user or market factors, creative and innovative creative and innovative looking for opportunities and solutions in realizing their dreams.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the role of entrepreneurial spirit in the development of multicultural Islamic education at Bahrul Maghfiroh Islamic Boarding School in Malang. Using a qualitative approach with the ethnographic case study method. The research questions are: i) what entrepreneurial spirit is used as capital in developing multicultural Islamic education at Bahrul Maghfiroh Islamic Boarding School in Malang? and ii) how does the entrepreneurial spirit contribute to the development of multicultural Islamic education at Bahrul Maghfiroh Islamic Boarding School in Malang? data and data sources were obtained through interviews, observations, and documents. This study found that the spirit of entrepreneurship plays an important role in developing multicultural Islamic education in pesantren. Capital in entrepreneurship is not always synonymous with tangible things such as money and gold. The contribution of the entrepreneurial spirit is very real and significant because it helps create an inclusive and conducive learning environment and encourages the growth of creativity and innovation among students. In addition, social entrepreneurship in the pesantren environment can also grow and develop synergistically to improve people's lives.
