Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the development of mathematical logic in children aged 4–6 years at kindergartens in Ciracap District, the implementation of joyful healthy gymnastics learning activities, and the significant influence of joyful healthy gymnastics on the mathematical logic intelligence of children aged 4–6 years at kindergartens in Ciracap District, Sukabumi Regency, in 2022. The research employed a quantitative method with a survey design to determine the influence of joyful healthy gymnastics on the mathematical logic intelligence of children aged 4–6 years, involving a sample of 54 respondents.The findings indicate that the development of children's mathematical logic is evidenced by a correlation coefficient of 0.534 with a 5% significance level. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between joyful healthy gymnastics and the mathematical logic intelligence of children aged 4–6 years at kindergartens in Ciracap District, Sukabumi Regency, in 2022.

Abstract

Pengembangan sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas adalah kunci keberhasilan suatu bangsa, dan proses ini sebaiknya dimulai sejak usia dini dengan penekanan pada pemantauan kesehatan dan nutrisi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai dampak program "Isi Piringku" terhadap status gizi anak-anak usia dini di Desa Mangkalaya, Kecamatan Gunungguruh, Kabupaten Sukabumi. Program "Isi Piringku", yang diperkenalkan oleh pemerintah Indonesia pada tahun 2014, dirancang untuk mengedukasi masyarakat mengenai pola makan seimbang dengan proporsi yang sesuai untuk konsumsi sehari-hari. Meski sosialisasi program ini telah dilakukan melalui berbagai saluran di Desa Mangkalaya, data penimbangan pada Juni 2024 menunjukkan adanya masalah gizi pada anak usia dini, seperti kekurangan gizi, risiko gizi lebih, dan obesitas. Penelitian ini mengevaluasi pengetahuan orang tua tentang program "Isi Piringku", penerapannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, dan kondisi gizi anak-anak. Analisis menunjukkan bahwa meskipun program "Isi Piringku" memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap status gizi anak usia dini dengan kontribusi determinasi sebesar 17,4%, faktor-faktor lain seperti konsistensi penerapan program, akses ke makanan bergizi, dan kondisi sosial ekonomi juga memainkan peranan penting dalam mempengaruhi status gizi anak. Temuan dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang pengaruh program "Isi Piringku" dan mendorong perbaikan strategi untuk meningkatkan status gizi anak di tingkat desa. Selain itu, hasil penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi referensi untuk penelitian dan intervensi di masa mendatang. Kata Kunci : Program Isi Piringku, Status Gizi, Anak Usia Dini

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep sains anak usia 5–6 tahun melalui penerapan metode eksperimen, khususnya pada topik gejala alam hujan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di RA Ashabulyamin Cianjur menggunakan desain Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan McTaggart dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 20 anak kelompok B. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode eksperimen dapat meningkatkan pemahaman anak terhadap proses terjadinya hujan. Pada kondisi awal, sebagian besar anak belum memahami tahapan penguapan, kondensasi, dan presipitasi. Setelah dilakukan eksperimen sederhana menggunakan media air panas dan es batu, pemahaman anak meningkat secara signifikan. Pada akhir siklus II, 85% anak mencapai kategori Berkembang Sesuai Harapan dan Berkembang Sangat Baik. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis eksperimen efektif diterapkan dalam pendidikan sains anak usia dini. Kata Kunci: Anak Usia Dini, Eksperimen, Gejala Alam, Hujan, Sains

Abstract

Anak usia dini merupakan masa emas anak-anak (golden age), di mana otak berkembang pesat, dan berbagai pengalaman yang dialami akan sangat mempengaruhi perkembangan mental dan sosial mereka di masa depan. Dalam proses pendidikan anak usia dini, pendidik memiliki tanggung jawab bukan hanya dalam hal kognitif, tetapi juga dalam menjaga kesehatan psikologis anak. Namun pada kenyataannya, berbagai masalah psikologis ringan seperti menarik diri, tantrum, tidak percaya diri, atau agresivitas terhadap teman sebaya sering kali muncul pada siswa Taman Kanak-Kanak. Masalah-masalah ini bila tidak ditangani dengan tepat, dapat berdampak jangka panjang terhadap perkembangan sosial-emosional anak. Pada anak usia dini, fenomena yang sering muncul adalah ditemukannya anak-anak yang menunjukkan tanda-tanda masalah psikologis taraf ringan, seperti mennagis, enggan berinteraksi, mudah marah. Pada penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif fenomenologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengangkat permasalahan ini ke dalam sebuah penelitian dengan tujuan memberikan gambaran yang lebih mendalam mengenai praktik bimbingan dan konseling yang dilaksanakan secara nonformal di lingkungan pendidikan anak usia dini.

Abstract

One of the most important factors that can improve the character of children's discipline is to perform behavior contract techniques on children. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of teachers in building disciplinary character through behavior contract techniques. The data of this study are all ECCE teachers who have applied behavior contract techniques, with a sample of 100 people. The method used in this study is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The method of data collection in this study is the distribution of questionnaires in the form of questions to respondents. Simple linear regression analysis was used as an analysis method in this study. The results explained that the character of discipline had a significant effect on behavior contract techniques, and the effect was 65.2% while 34.8% was influenced by other variables.

Abstract

Kemampuan berfikir kritis merupakan aspek penting dalam perkembangan anak usia dini, namun pada konteks indonesia kemampuan ini masih relatif rendah. Pendekatan Pembelajaran mendalam dipandang sebagai alternatif yang relevan untuk meningkatkan kualitas proses belajar anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis persepsi guru PAUD terhadap penerapan pembelajaran mendalam dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berfikir kritis pada anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif fenomenologis melalui wawancara mendalam dengan analisis data berbasis IPA (Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa guru menilai pembelajaran mendalam mampu mendorong eksplorasi, pemaknaan dan keterlibatan aktif anak. Tetapi implementasinya masih terkendala oleh pemahaman konsep yang terbatas, kebiasaan pembelajaran yang bersifat rutin, serta minimnya dukungan pelatihan. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi langsung bagi praktik PAUD, antara lain sebagai dasar pengembangan pelatihan guru mengenai statergi pembelajaran mendalam , perancangan aktivitas yang menstimulasi berfikir kritis dan penguatan budaya refleksi dalam pembelajaran. Selain itu temuan ini dapat digunakan oleh pengambil kebijkan dan lembaga pendidikan untuk merancang dan kurikulum serta program pendampingan yang lebih responsif terhadap kebutuhan pembelajaran abad ke-21.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of traditional games on the development of social skills in children aged 4–6 years at Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal (ABA) 1 Kindergarten in Sukabumi City. This study used a qualitative methodology with a case study design. This study included 17 children aged 4-6 years who were actively engaged in learning activities centered on local content. Data collection was conducted through participant observation, teacher interviews, and documentation of educational activities. The analysis involved the triangulation of sources and methodologies to guarantee the validity of the data. The study findings indicate that the traditional game of engklek significantly improves the social skills of children aged 4–6 years at Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal (ABA) 1 Kindergarten in Sukabumi City. Children demonstrated improvements in collaboration, communication, empathy, turn-taking, adherence to game rules, and conflict resolution. Furthermore, hopscotch encouraged active participation, cooperative behavior, and improved social relationships among peers. These findings confirm that integrating traditional games into early childhood education preserves local culture and effectively enhances the development of social skills in early childhood.

Abstract

Kemampuan berhitung permulaan merupakan salah satu aspek kognitif fundamental yang perlu dikembangkan pada anak usia dini, khususnya pada anak usia 5-6 tahun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengembangan kemampuan berhitung permulaan anak usia 5-6 tahun di KB Al- Mufti Kecamatan Sidangbarang Kabupaten Cianjur. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 13 anak. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan berhitung permulaan anak dengan menggunakan metode discovery learning dan telah mencapai indikator keberhasilan yaitu lebih dari 80%.  Artinya metode discovery learning sangat efektif untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berhitung permulaan pada anak usia 5-6 tahun di KB Al-Mufti. Penerapan metode discovery learning dalam berhitung permulaan memberi kesempatan kepada anak untuk bereksplorasi sendiri, aktif dan menyenangkan. Dengan demikian, penelitian berhasil menjawab tujuan dan rumusan masalah bahwa metode discovery leaning dapat mengembangkan kemampuan berhitung permulaan anak usia 5-6 tahun.

Abstract

The introduction of the concept of numbers and geometric shapes is an important part of early childhood cognitive development which is the basis for logical and mathematical thinking skills. Based on the results of initial observations at Al Falah A Kindergarten, it was found that the ability of children aged 5-6 years to recognize the concept of numbers and geometric shapes is still not developed optimally. This is characterized by the fact that there are still many children who have difficulty in naming number symbols, counting the number of objects, and recognizing and mentioning simple geometric shapes. Therefore, it is necessary to use teaching aids that are attractive and in accordance with the characteristics of early childhood, one of which is through the use of modified tangram props. This research aims to improve the ability to recognize the concept of numbers and geometric shapes through the use of modified tangram teaching aids in children aged 5–6 years at Al Falah A Kindergarten. The research subjects were children in the age group of 5–6 years old at Al Falah A Kindergarten. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, documentation, and performance assessment, while data analysis was carried out descriptively, qualitatively, and quantitatively. The results of the study show that the use of modified tangram props can improve children's ability to recognize the concept of numbers and geometric shapes. In the pre-cycle stage, children's abilities are still in the undeveloped category. After the implementation of the action in the first cycle, there was an increase but did not reach the success indicator. Furthermore, in cycle II, the child's ability increased significantly and achieved the criteria of developing very well. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of modified tangram teaching aids is effective in improving the introduction of the concept of numbers and geometric shapes in children aged 5–6 years in Al Falah A Kindergarten.

Abstract

The ability to recognize letters is one of the important aspects in early childhood language development which is the basis for reading and writing skills at the next level of education. Based on the results of initial observations at Mutiara Kindergarten, it was found that the ability to recognize letters for children aged 5-6 years is still not optimally developed. This can be seen from some children who are not able to name letters, recognize the shape of the letters, and connect the letters with their sounds. Therefore, an interesting learning effort is needed and in accordance with the characteristics of early childhood, one of which is through the game of Magic Paper. This research aims to improve the ability to recognize letters through the game of Magic Paper in children aged 5–6 years in Mutiara Kindergarten. The research method used is Class Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in two cycles, where each cycle consists of the stages of planning, implementation of actions, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were children in the age group of 5–6 years at Mutiara Kindergarten. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, documentation, and performance assessment, while data analysis is carried out descriptively, qualitatively, and quantitatively. The results of the study show that the application of the Magic Paper game can improve children's letter recognition skills. In the initial condition (pre-cycle), the child's ability to recognize letters is still in the undeveloped category. After the action was carried out in the first cycle, there was an increase in the child's ability to pronounce and recognize letters, but had not yet reached the success indicator. Furthermore, in cycle II, the child's ability to recognize letters increased significantly and achieved the criteria of developing very well. Thus, it can be concluded that the Magic Paper game is effective in improving the ability to recognize letters in children aged 5–6 years in Mutiara Kindergarten.
