Abstract

In the manufacturing industry, product quality is the main benchmark that determines the competitiveness of a company. PT XYZ Industri as one of the main suppliers of national automotive components, faces the problem of high numbers of reject products, especially in the Panel Wheel House part in the E-Line production line. This study aims to analyze the main causes of these reject products and provide suggestions for improvement through the application of the Seven Tools method as a quality control tool. The study was conducted using a case study approach using production data from January to March 2024. Data collection methods include direct observation, interviews with related parties, and documentation studies of daily production reports. There are two dominant types of defects in the Pnl Wheel House part, namely neck and crack, which are identified through the Pareto Chart and Check Sheet. Furthermore, Fishbone Diagram analysis is used to determine the root of the problem involving machine, method, and material factors. The results of the study show that neck defects dominate with a proportion of 98%, which is caused by unstable cushion pressure and die design that is prone to causing imperfect pulling in the drawing process. The application of the Control Chart shows process inconsistencies, which are then corrected by revising the control limits. Improvement strategies are formulated using the 5W+1H method, such as standardization of cushion pressure and routine inspection of die conditions and raw material quality. By implementing this approach, PT XYZ can significantly improve production quality, reduce reject rates, and increase efficiency and customer satisfaction. This study proves that Seven Tools is an effective method in identifying and handling quality problems in the manufacturing process

Abstract

Abstrak: Optimalisasi Hasil Penjualan Menggunakan Metode Simpleks dan POM-QM pada UMKM Pembuatan Tempe. Pemrograman linear merupakan metode dengan formulasi metematis dengan bentuk linear yang digunakan dalam menentukan nilai pada penyelesaian optimal dengan melakukan cara melakukan maksimasi atau minimasi fungsi tujuan pada suatu kumpulan kendala. Penerapan pemrograman linear digunakan pada penelitian ini dengan tempat penelitian pada UMKM Tempe. Dalam pelaksanaan produksinya, UMKM masih kesulitan dalam menentukan jumlah produksi tempe pada satu hari, dan menentukan prioritas produksi yang memiliki keuntungan maksimum pada produksi tempe. Penelitian ini bertujuan sebagai bahan pertimbangan dalam menentukan keputusan untuk mengoptimalkan produksi tempe, mendapatkan hasil produksi serta penjualan yang optimal guna mencapai keuntungan maksimum dari hasil penjualan pada UMKM Pembuatan Tempe Cengkong. Hasil yang didapatkan dalam penelitian dengan menggunakan metode simpleks menunjukkan biaya Rp. 1.200.000,-, dengan memproduksi 60 tempe berukuran panjang setiap produksi, proses hasil perhitungan ini menggunakan bantuan dengan aplikasi POM-QM untuk mendukung hasil analisis. Linear programming is a method with a metematic formulation with a linear form that is used in determining the value at the optimal solution by maximizing or minimizing the goal function on a set of constraints. The application of linear programming was used in this study with a research site on Tempe MSMEs. In carrying out their production, MSMEs still have difficulty in determining the amount of tempeh production on one day, and determining production priorities that have maximum profits on tempeh production. This study aims to be a consideration in determining the decision to optimize tempeh production, get optimal production and sales results in order to achieve maximum profit from sales results at MSMEs making Tempe Cengkong. The results obtained in the study using the simplex method showed a cost of Rp. 1,200,000,-, by producing 60 tempe measuring in length each production, this calculation result process uses the help of the POM-QM application to support the analysis results. Abstract

The use of e-commerce as a means of shopping is a trend that is very much in demand by many Indonesians. This makes e-service quality very important in a transaction. Customer preference is one of the main factors in shaping a business strategy. This research discusses the use of cluster analysis to segment Shopee's e-commerce customers based on sociodemographic characteristics with k-means algorithm and conjoint analysis to determine which e-service quality attributes are most important to each cluster. The sociodemographic characteristics to be analyzed are gender, education, profession, e-commerce visit, income, and last purchase from the e-commerce. The result from k-means algorithm is there are 2 groupings of customers based on their sociodemographic characteristics, cluster 1 with the majority of women members with frequent visits, while for cluster 2 with the majority of male members with frequent visits. With the result of cluster analysis, conjoint analysis help this research to find which e-service quality attributes are most important. The results are members in cluster 1 prioritize Full payment payment methods when shopping online, while members in cluster 2 prioritize star seller types when shopping online. The aspect that doesn't matter most when shopping online is fulfillment in cluster 1 and security in cluster 2.

Abstract

To achieve client satisfaction, every company must be able to do its best. Companies must be able to provide services that meet or surpass their consumers' expectations to achieve customer satisfaction. As a result, the goal of this research is to look at client satisfaction with the Sales Engineer services that have been delivered. Reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangible customer satisfaction at PT XYZ are the characteristics used in this study. 150 consumers who were served by Sales Engineers provided the data for this study. To perform data processing, this research used SERVQUAL and Factor Analysis for determining customer satisfaction. Based on the findings of the data processing with SERVQUAL, it has been determined that two variables, Assurance, and Empathy, are capable of bringing consumer satisfaction. Based on the overall analysis using Factor Analysis, it can be concluded that the majority of the services provided by the Sales Engineer are able to meet the expectations of customers, particularly in terms of the most important factor in the emergence of customer satisfaction, to encourage these customers to be loyal to the company. Customers, as well as being responsible for and the ultimate action taken by sales in response to consumer complaints.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the effect of optimizing self-regulated learning (SRL) on students’ academic performance in online learning. The development of online learning systems following the COVID-19 pandemic has posed new challenges for students, such as low learning motivation, limited engagement, and difficulties in time management. Optimizing SRL is considered a key strategy to overcome these issues. This research uses a quantitative approach with a correlational survey design. Data were obtained from a standardized and validated SRL questionnaire, along with students' Grade Point Average (GPA) as an indicator of academic performance. The data were analyzed using Pearson correlation with the assistance of SPSS Statistics 23. The results show a significant positive relationship between optimized SRL and students’ academic performance. The higher the students’ SRL level, the better their academic performance in online learning. These findings highlight that optimizing SRL can be a crucial strategy to enhance students' academic success in online learning environments at the university level. Keyword: Self-regulated learning, online learning, academic performance, university students, Pearson correlation. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh optimalisasi self-regulated learning (SRL) terhadap kinerja akademik mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran daring. Perkembangan sistem pembelajaran daring setelah pandemi COVID-19 menghadirkan tantangan baru bagi mahasiswa, seperti rendahnya motivasi belajar, keterlibatan yang minim, serta kesulitan dalam pengelolaan waktu. Optimalisasi SRL dipandang sebagai salah satu strategi untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain survei korelasional. Data diperoleh melalui kuesioner SRL yang telah terstandarisasi dan tervalidasi, serta data Indeks Prestasi Semester (IPS) mahasiswa sebagai indikator kinerja akademik. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SPSS Statistics 23. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara tingkat optimalisasi SRL dan kinerja akademik mahasiswa. Semakin tinggi tingkat SRL mahasiswa, semakin baik pula kinerja akademiknya dalam pembelajaran daring. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa optimalisasi SRL dapat menjadi strategi penting untuk meningkatkan keberhasilan akademik mahasiswa dalam konteks pembelajaran daring di perguruan tinggi. Kata kunci: Self-regulated learning, pembelajaran daring, kinerja akademik, mahasiswa, korelasi Pearson.

Abstract

This study analyzes the feasibility of Belt machine production capacity at PT YWN using the Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) method with the Bill of Labor Approach (BoLA). This research was conducted because PT YWN faces obstacles in meeting demand due to imbalance in production capacity on the Belt machine. This condition can lead to increased lead time, non-optimal resource utilization, and increased production costs. Thus, this method is used to identify overloading or underloading of production capacity and improve the Master Production Schedule (MPS). The analyzed data includes production plan, process time, working time, and machine efficiency and utility. The results showed that work center 2 experienced a capacity shortage of -17%, thus requiring additional machines, while work center 4 experienced an overcapacity of 58%. Recommendations include MPS revision, subcontract, overtime, and machine addition. The conclusion of this research shows that the RCCP method with BoLA approach is effective in evaluating production capacity, improving efficiency, and overcoming capacity imbalance. The results of this study are expected to help PT YWN in managing production capacity more effectively and efficiently. Abstract

UMKM Tahu Sari Bumi Karawang is a tofu producer that produces 20,000 tofu beans per day. As a large producer, this MSME still applies manual cutting methods, which has an impact on limited productivity and product quality. The non-uniformity of tofu size not only affects the appearance of the product but also potentially reduces customer satisfaction. In addition, the limited use of tools makes the production process slower and reduces labor efficiency. Therefore, this study aims to design a tofu cutting tool to improve time efficiency and ensure more uniform cut results. The design of tofu cutting tools uses a value engineering approach, which is a structured and function-oriented team approach to analyze various functions in a product, system, or supply process. The goal is to increase value by identifying and eliminating unnecessary costs, while ensuring the achievement of desired performance with efficient cycle costs. Based on the research results, this tool consists of five main components with food grade stainless steel material. With an investment of Rp 1,466,000, this tool has a payback period of four weeks and can save cutting time up to 77%, and produce more uniform and precise tofu pieces. Abstract

One of the companies engaged in the manufacturing industry is PT Pindo Deli Pulp and Mills 1, whichproduces various kinds of paper and tissue. Art Board is a type of paper produced by PT Pindo Deli Pulpand Mills 1, and is quite attractive to customers. However, customer demand for Art Board products oftenfluctuates. Product demand is an important aspect to be evaluated, because if the company does not planproperly the company will experience financial losses. Forecasting can be used as a support for companydecision making. Moving Average, Single Exponential Smoothing, and Trend Analysis are the methodsused to support forecasting in this study, where the next step is to analyze the accuracy of the forecastingmethod with the parameter values of MAD, MSE, standard error, bias, and forecasting for the next period.Based on data collection and analysis, it is found that the period 1 moving average method is the bestmethod for forecasting production demand for Art Board products with forecasting for the next period of19410 units, MAD of 3186,182, MSE of 16001250, and a bias of 634,546 meanwhile the standard error is4422,339.

Abstract

CV Jasa Bhakti is a manufacturing industry company that produces agricultural machinery and automotivespare parts. During the production process, the SY-GF 2500H lathe has problems, namely engine damagewhich causes the production machine to not operate and causes downtime which can cause losses andaffect the effectiveness of the SY-GF 2500H lathe. The Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method isused to measure the level of effectiveness on a machine by using three main components, namelyavailability rate, performance rate, and quality rate to identify types of losses based on six big losses, theaverage OEE result of 75% is still below the standard world class with factors that affect the low OEE,namely the performance rate of 79%, while the losses that affect the effectiveness value of the performancerate are idle and minor stoppage of 6% and reduce speed losses of 35%. By analyzing the root causes ofthe problem through a fishbone diagram, and five whys analysis. From this method, it can be concludedthat the causes of the low effectiveness value on the performance rate which are influenced by idle andminor stoppage and reduced speed losses are human factors, machines, materials, and methods.
