Abstract

Vector borne disease spreads widely and rapidly every year. House flies can act as vectors for various diseases namely typhoid, stomach ache such as dysentery, cholera, diarrhea and skin diseases that can cause death in many countries. Therefore the effective and safe control is needed, one of which is biological control. Among other things, biological control can use plants as a repellent. This thesis have a goals to known the effectivenness test of combination kemangi leaf concenterate (Ocimum basilicum forma citartum) with pandan wangi (Pandanus amaryllfolius Roxb) as a flies repellent. This thesis using true experiment design with 360 flies as a sample that taking from Wonodadi traditional market, with 6 cycle and 15 minute observation. The research doing in Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kuburaya Regency Laborotary. The researcer using One Way Anova with 95% (?=0,05) signification as a statistic test. The result of this research show that there are some significant different amount of the flies that pearch to the bait before and after the treatment with 5%, 10%, and 15% dose control. The researcher wish this research can be the alternatif to repellent the flies at house.

Abstract

Hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) or known as foot, hand and mouth disease is one of the acute viral infectious diseases caused by coxsackievirus A type 16 (CV A16) and enterovirus 71 (E71) which is usually mild and goes away on its own. Although the disease is mild and can heal itself, this disease is very contagious so it has the potential to become an extraordinary event (KLB). In Pontianak City, there were 83 confirmed cases recorded at the Pontianak City Health Office. The type of research used in this study is descriptive research which aims to obtain a picture of Knowledge, Attitudes, Personal Hygiene and Use of AC with the Incident of Hand Foot Mouth Diseases (HFMD) in Pontianak City in 2024. The sample in this study was 67 children who were confirmed to have Singapore flu in Pontianak City. The results of the study showed that most children aged <5 years were (68.7%), female (52.2%), children who had not attended school (55.2%), maternal education up to high school and college (46.3%), children's bedrooms using air conditioning (AC) (68.7%), good maternal knowledge (56.7%), supportive maternal attitudes (53.7%), and good personal hygiene (55.2%). From the results obtained, the suggestions that can be given are expected for health workers to continue to improve the recording and search for cases of Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD) in Pontianak City.

Abstract

Foundation: Sugarcane juice is one of the handled sugarcane drinks that is very famous with general society. The goal of this study was to find out what factors influence the number of germs in sugarcane juice drinks sold by street vendors in the Pontianak Tenggara District. Cross-sectional analysis was used in this study. The examination test was 30 Sugarcane Juice. The Spearman rank correlation test was the one that was utilized. Results: The relationship between Personal Hygiene and Filter Cleanliness (p value = 0.001) is significant (p = 0.001). In addition, there is no correlation between the number of germs in sugarcane juice drinks in Pontianak Tenggara District and Storage Place (p value = 0.061). In conclusion, sugarcane juice traders in Pontianak Tenggara need to keep the filter clean to prevent contamination from vectors and dust on the streets and to keep traders' personal hygiene.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of health promotion regarding the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) through Sambas language video media in the Rose Women Farmers Group (KWT) in Tamabatan Village, Sambas Regency. The method used was pre-experimental with a one group pretest-posttest design on 30 respondents. Data was collected through observation and questionnaires, then analyzed using the paired t test. The research results showed a significant increase in respondents' knowledge and attitudes after intervention with video media. The mean knowledge score increased from 5.27 to 7.63 (p=0.000), while the mean attitude score increased from 4.20 to 9.27 (p=0.000). This proves that health promotion using local language video media is effective in increasing workers' understanding and awareness of the importance of implementing K3 in the workplace.
