Abstract

The Jakarta–Bandung corridor represents a strategic intercity route with high mobility demand and diverse transport alternatives. The introduction of KCIC Whoosh offers significantly shorter travel time compared to road-based modes; however, it has not automatically shifted user preferences away from shuttle/travel services, intercity buses, and private cars. This indicates that mode choice decisions are influenced not only by travel time, but also by trade-offs involving cost, accessibility, flexibility, and user characteristics. Therefore, this study aims to analyze consumer preferences and identify the key determinants of mode choice between KCIC Whoosh and road transport modes. This study adopts the Discrete Choice Model framework based on the Random Utility Model using a stated preference approach. Data were collected through an online survey targeting respondents with prior travel experience on the Jakarta–Bandung corridor. The analysis applies binary logistic regression under pairwise comparisons between KCIC Whoosh and major road transport modes. The results indicate that KCIC Whoosh is generally preferred by respondents. Speed and safety consistently emerge as the most influential factors in shaping mode choice. However, other attributes remain important depending on the competing mode. Affordability becomes a key barrier in comparison with shuttle/travel services, while accessibility, frequency, comfort, and punctuality significantly influence decisions in comparison with intercity buses. In contrast, income shows a positive association with the choice of Whoosh relative to private cars, whereas accessibility and flexibility remain constraints. Based on survey data collected from 180 respondents using a stated preference approach, these findings highlight that improving the competitiveness of KCIC Whoosh requires not only maintaining its advantages in speed and safety, but also enhancing affordability, strengthening accessibility, and improving service integration to better meet user needs.

Abstract

Fish at any change in aquaculture air temperature can affect fish survival, physiological conditions and immune response. The need to study the reaction of fish to sublethal temperatures (30-40oC) is an impetus because of global warming which can trigger heat stress (HS). Heat stress (HS) and its effects can occur in fish with any changes in the environment (physical or physiological), where heat can change the animal's normal homeostasis. Tomato (Lycopersicum esculentum), has been proven as a fruit that is rich in lycopene, which acts as a natural antioxidant. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of lycopene supplementation on the process of external fertilization on embryo development, survival rate and heart rate of zebrafish (Danio rerio) at normal temperature (NHS) and with heat exposure (HS). The survival rate data obtained will then be analyzed using SPSS, with ANOVA and LSD tests (P ≤0.05). While the results of the statistical analysis test of heart rate, a non-parametric test was used using Kruskal-Wallis H, to find out whether there was a significant difference in the treatment; and the Mann-Whitney Test, to detect significant differences between groups (P ≤0.05). The effect of lycopene supplementation on the external fertilization process of zebrafish embryos gives a low survival rate and heart vibration of zebrafish embryos, which is thought to be caused by several factors, namely zebrafish genetics; storage method, dosage, and lycopene extraction method used in the research

Abstract

Early reading proficiency remains a persistent challenge in Indonesian elementary education, where conventional spelling methods limit multisensory engagement and impede literacy outcomes. Addressing this gap, the Glenn Doman method, grounded in neuroplasticity theory and play-based pedagogy, offers a compelling alternative through structured flashcard stimulation. This study aimed to investigate the implementation process, reading performance outcomes, and pedagogical implications of the Glenn Doman flashcard method among first-grade students at a Muhammadiyah elementary school in East Java, Indonesia. A qualitative descriptive design with embedded quantitative support (pre–posttest) was employed. Data were collected from 122 first-grade students across four classes, four classroom teachers, and one school principal through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis over ten instructional sessions. Average reading scores improved from 51.8% (pretest) to 93.1% (posttest), representing a 41.3% gain across all five literacy indicators. Thematic analysis identified three principal themes: (1) teacher preparedness and adaptive instruction; (2) student engagement through visual and playful learning; and (3) instructional challenges and contextual adaptation. The Glenn Doman method effectively supports early literacy development through multisensory stimulation, joyful repetition, and culturally responsive pedagogical adaptation. The findings offer practical insights for teachers, school administrators, and policymakers engaged in advancing Indonesia's national literacy agenda (GLS) and SDG 4 goals.

Abstract

This research is entitled "Improving the Performance of Wonokromo Community Health Center Employees". The aim of this research is to find out whether training has an effect on improving the performance of Puskesmas employees. The research method used in this research is a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation, with descriptive analysis data analysis techniques based on related literature. The effect of training on employee performance was analyzed using simple regression. The research results show that the training activities and performance of Wonokromo Community Health Center employees are good. Apart from that, training has a significant effect on employee performance.
