Abstract

This study aims to analyze adaptive partnership strategies between private Islamic Vocational High Schools (SMK) and the Business/Industry World (DU/DI) in improving the quality of vocational education graduates relevant to job market needs. Using a qualitative approach and a multi-case study design, the research was conducted at three leading private Islamic Vocational High Schools (SMK) in Bogor Regency: SMK Ibnu Aqil, SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Cileungsi, and SMK Amaliah 2 Ciawi. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies, then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana models assisted by Nvivo software, as well as a SWOT approach. The results show that partnership dynamics are formed through the interaction of supporting factors such as active leadership, Islamic values, and industrial partner networks, as well as obstacles such as curriculum gaps, limited productive teachers, and minimal industrial investment. All three schools implemented adaptive strategies, such as integrating religious values, digitizing learning, and strengthening international partnerships. The SWOT analysis shows that private Islamic Vocational High Schools have significant internal strengths to capitalize on opportunities, although they also face various external threats. This study concludes the importance of strengthening strategies based on local context and Islamic values ​​to achieve sustainable vocational partnerships that are responsive to the demands of modern industry.

Abstract

Sexual violence in pesantren remains a pressing concern despite the implementation of national child protection policies. This study developed a strategic model of a child-friendly pesantren climate to prevent sexual violence by integrating institutional, cultural, and relational dimensions. Using a qualitative multiple-case study design, data were collected from 15 pesantren in West Java, Jakarta, and Banten through in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and non-participatory observations to ensure credibility and depth. Data analysis followed Miles and Huberman’s interactive model—comprising data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing—supported by NVivo 12 for thematic coding. The findings revealed that preventing sexual violence cannot rely solely on written policies and staff training. It also required cultural mediation that translates formal rules into daily practices and an alliance between staff and families that reconceptualizes institutional capacity as a shared relational commitment. These mechanisms, together with institutional child protection policies, inclusive pedagogy, physical and psychological safety, student agency, and parental involvement, formed a comprehensive model for cultivating a child-friendly pesantren climate. This model advanced theoretical discourse by reframing the hidden curriculum as a vehicle for safeguarding and by positioning family involvement as integral to institutional competence, while offering a practical roadmap for policymakers and practitioners to strengthen child protection in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the utilization of an application-based Character Improvement System (CIS) to strengthen students’ religious character through integration with the hidden curriculum. A qualitative case study approach was employed, using interviews, observations, and documentation to collect data from teachers, students, and parents. The findings showed that the implementation of the hidden curriculum through religious practices was reinforced by CIS, which recorded, monitored, and rewarded students’ daily behaviors. The system encouraged discipline, honesty, and responsibility because every positive action was systematically appreciated and became a school habit. The integration of CIS with the hidden curriculum created measurable and transparent supervision that involved collaboration among teachers, parents, and students. This research contributes novelty by demonstrating how digital applications can support character formation beyond formal instruction. The impact is to provide schools with a replicable model for cultivating noble values consistently and sustainably.

Abstract

This research endeavors to assess the impact of additional practicum sessions and experimental demonstrations through video presentations on students' comprehension in an Islamic boarding school. The study focuses on enhancing students' understanding of the biochar concept, particularly its role as an adsorbent, aligning with contemporary issues related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and environmental problem-solving. To substantiate the research rationale, a concise literature review and bibliometric analysis were incorporated. The experiment involved comparing two classes – the experimental class, which received additional practicum and experimental demonstrations using videos, and the conventional class as the control group. The study included 45 students in Class XI of an Islamic boarding school. Learning outcomes were assessed through pre-test and post-test scores, as well as N-Gain calculations. The hypothesis was tested using the Paired Sample T-test. The practical aspect of the experiment involved carbonizing the skin of jengkol fruit to produce carbon, which was then utilized for adsorbing curcumin. The adsorption phenomena were observed and analyzed.The research findings demonstrated that the experimental demonstration method, particularly when complemented with video presentations, was more effective than conventional methods. This was evident from the N-Gain value of the experimental class and the results of statistical tests. The experimental demonstration method using videos is anticipated to enhance knowledge, provide a more authentic understanding and experience, and yield superior learning outcomes. These findings contribute valuable insights for future research on experimental demonstrations, emphasizing their potential to enhance the overall quality of student learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of research on technology-related instructional leadership. The research method used is bibliometric analysis. The articles used in this study were sourced from the Google Schooler database with the help of the Publication of Perish from 2015-2022; 498 papers were found. Data analysis using the VOSviewer application. The results showed that the number of publications decreased yearly, where the most occurred in 2015, namely 102 publications. The results of the density visualization analysis shown in yellow circles indicate the themes most frequently used in recent research, namely instructional technology, technology integration, instructional leadership practice, school leader, transformational leadership, covid, time and student. Meanwhile, based on network visualization, the topic of instructional leadership has a relationship with the term development, effect, effectiveness, instructional leader, instructional leadership, instructional leadership practice, leader, leadership, model, principal, research, school, school leader, school leadership, school principal and transformational leadership. These results illustrate that technology-based instructional leadership can be developed by referring to instructional technology, technology integration, as a term rarely used based on visualization overlay.

Abstract

The environment plays a crucial role in the educational journey, particularly in shaping students' character and moral values. From an Islamic perspective, education goes beyond the mere transfer of knowledge; it encompasses character building through exemplary behavior and consistent practice within a supportive environment. This study explores how environmental factors influence education based on the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), focusing on the family and social context. Using qualitative literature research methods, the study collected and analyzed descriptive data from various Islamic and educational sources. The results highlight the family as the primary foundation for instilling faith and moral integrity, while the broader social environment shapes behavior through routine interactions. The hadiths examined highlight the importance of selecting a positive environment as a vehicle for education. The study concludes that the effectiveness of Islamic education is closely linked to the quality of the surrounding environment. Abstract

Instilling responsibility in students is a crucial part of character education that cannot be developed instantly. This value needs to grow gradually through approaches that are closely connected to students’ daily school life. This study aims to explore how tarbawi hadiths can be integrated into school activities to foster a sense of responsibility among students. The research uses a library research method by reviewing various Islamic and educational literature. The findings show that values such as leadership, self-awareness, and honesty found in the hadiths serve as strong foundations for nurturing responsible behavior. When these values are applied in practical activities like classroom duties, self-reflection, and group discussions, students not only complete their tasks but also begin to understand the deeper meaning behind the roles they carry out. This study concludes that the internalization of tarbawi hadith values contributes significantly to the development of students’ personal and social responsibility. The implication is that schools should design learning experiences that support the natural growth of these values in students’ everyday lives.

Abstract

The urgency of teacher integrity is a serious issue in the world of education, especially in shaping the character of students. Teachers do not only act as educators, but also as moral role models for their students. In the perspective of the hadith tarbawi, the values ​​of honesty and exemplary behavior are the main pillars of forming a teacher's integrity. This study aims to examine in more depth how these values ​​can shape the integrity of educators and influence students' behavior and attitudes. The method used is a literature study with a descriptive qualitative approach. The results of the study show that teachers who are honest, fair, and able to be real examples in everyday behavior have a major influence in shaping the character of students. The honesty of teachers in assessing, as well as their consistency in words and actions, are important measures in building student trust. This study is expected to contribute to strengthening the professionalism of teachers who are not only intellectually intelligent, but also morally and spiritually strong. This description has proven to be a prime example for the students themselves. The impact that we obtained was that in addition to being a source of knowledge, this research provided a number of exploratory knowledge of some things that need to be applied and not done in an institution that is oriented towards becoming a culture so that it is good and is believed to be able to produce a society and nation that develops and advances on the path of Allah SWT.

Abstract

Islamic education focuses not only on intelligence but also on character development through the integration of spiritual and ethical values. The Hadith, the second source of Islamic teachings after the Qur'an, contains numerous messages related to character education, particularly regarding the importance of knowledge and the position of those who possess knowledge. This study aims to examine the contribution of hadiths on knowledge and the virtues of those who possess knowledge to character formation in Islamic education. The method applied in this study is descriptive qualitative with a library research approach, through an analysis of the content and themes of hadith works and Islamic educational sources. The results show that these hadiths contain important character values such as sincerity, responsibility, humility, and a passion for seeking knowledge. Those who possess knowledge are depicted as superior to ordinary worshippers because their knowledge provides broad benefits to society and is a legacy of the prophets. The conclusion of this study shows that integrating hadith values into the education system is crucial for developing students who are not only intellectually intelligent but also instill the values of tarbawi (Islamic education) comprehensively. Abstract

The moral crisis and increasing acts of dishonesty in the learning environment demand the need to strengthen the character of honesty more effectively, especially through approaches based on Islamic values. This study aims to analyze and evaluate the function of tarbawi hadith as a basis in the formation of honesty character in students. The method used is a literature study by studying written sources and hadiths related to honesty and its application in Islamic education. The results showed that the tarbawi hadiths, especially those narrated by Abdullah bin Mas'ud and Abu Hurairah, provide a solid basis for instilling the value of honesty through habits, character assessment, and the formation of student integrity. The teachings of honesty contained in the hadith not only affect academic behavior, but also form a complete personality and good character. The conclusion of this study confirms that the integration of tarbawi hadith values in the curriculum and learning process is crucial to build the character of students who are honest and have integrity. The implication of this research is the importance of a systematic and sustainable character education strategy based on Islamic teachings to face moral challenges in the digital age.
