Abstract

The productivity of a solar power plant is influenced by environmental factors such as the amount of irradiation captured, the amount of dust attached to it, and the ambient temperature. Therefore, it is very important to pay attention to the technical design of solar power plant, such as the installation location, tilt angle, and number of solar modules per series. In addition to a good technical design, it is also necessary to pay attention to its economic aspects, because solar power plant requires high costs, so it is necessary to make financial projections for the next few years, so that the economic value of the technical design can be determined. At this writing, the location is taken at Sendang Sari Hotel with coordinates -6.905910357088127, 109.72448291981084, installed power is 120kVA with the aim of the installation is for savings without exporting power to the grid. Based on the load analysis, the designed PLTS capacity is 119.5 kWp. Then, a simulation was carried out using the Helioscope which produced an energy yield of 161.8 MW with a performance ratio of 82.1%. Based on the simulation, a 25-year financial projection is obtained with an NPV of 580,943,546 IDR, an IRR of 6.09%, a payback period of 13.89 years, and an LCOE of 735.4 IDR/kWh.

Abstract

Variable voltage DC power supply that has wide range of power, lightweight and inexpensive is quite difficult to obtain. This research designs and tests a DC power supply without a transformer using switching technology that utilizes TRIAC. The 220 Volt AC power source is converted to DC electricity by the method of cutting off some AC waves signal, using TRIAC, and then rectifying it with diodes and filters. DIAC functions as a trigger TRIAC at the specified time, by turning the variable resistor. The test results show that the output DC power voltage can be adjusted from 5 Volts to 75 Volts by adjusting the DIAC resistance and the load resistance. The results of the series image characteristics are given 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional graphics.

Abstract

Pollutant is a serious problem today as the use of non-renewable energy sources is still a favorite, especially those sourced from coal and petroleum fuels. To anticipate dependence on coal-fired power plants, many studies have been conducted related to environmentally friendly power plants. One of the environmentally friendly power plants is wind power plants. Based on the criteria of wind turbines such as TSD-500, a wind speed of at least 3 m/s is required to start production. The purpose of this study is to find out how much potential clean energy is generated through wind energy generation on the coast of Ciheras. The research method in data collection used is qualitative descriptive. The results of the analysis found that the energy obtained from the process of converting wind energy into electrical energy can illuminate 9 houses, with each house consuming 70 Watts of power for 5 hours.

Abstract

The paper presents a method for adaptive cruise control based motor acceleration control. On the long-distance driving, using vehicles that have a risk for accidents. One of these accidents is collisions between vehicles in front of them which can cause multiple collisions. With the help of the ACC feature, it can reduce the occurrence of these accidents which are caused by the driver's fatigue and weather conditions on long-distance trips. By using the Fuzzy adaptive cruise control system, it is successful in adjusting the acceleration set on the fuzzy system, and with the help of the GUI it can make it easier for the operator to set the appropriate acceleration.

Abstract

The limited capacity of renewable energy sources in the grid utility is a challenge. Increasing the capacity of renewable energy sources is supported by energy storage in the grid. The Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) allows storing more electricity from New and Renewable Energy (EBT) sources to meet load requirements. This paper designs a techno-economic study of various battery technologies using HOMER (Hybrid Optimization Modeling Software) software simulation. Simulations are made for grid-connected photovoltaic systems in Indonesia. HOMER is used to find the energy cost ($ / kWh) for each type of battery technology and battery system size. The simulation is designed using 1MWp PV component parameters, inverter, energy storage to be compared, residental load, and connected to the grid. The results will help to determine which technology and battery size is more suitable for the system. The findings from this paper resulted in the lowest Levelized Cost Of Energy (LCOE) of $ 1.03 in solar power generation.

Abstract

This project focuses on the issue of improving the quality of plants, especially lettuce. Lettuce grows best in a temperature range of 25°C to 28°C and a humidity range of 65% to 78%. In order to grow high quality lettuce, it is necessary to adjust the temperature and humidity. But when you don't have time to pay attention to these details for other important work, that becomes a problem. To solve this problem, we use the Internet of Things to monitor assets anytime, anywhere. We made it possible. Also, this monitoring system saves a lot of time. I use an instant messenger called Telegram. Telegram Messenger is an open source, free, cross-platform application. Use API Bot in Telegram to create intelligent bots that react to messages about surveillance. The DHT11 Temperature and Humidity Sensor is used to provide sensor temperature and humidity readings. The Arduino Integrated Development Environment (IDE) software is used to create the source code, and the ESP 12e acts as the brains of the technology we develop and can connect to the internet. The results of this temperature and humidity monitoring can be accessed by typing commands into the Telegram bot. Statistics and other visual data can also be monitored from websites developed by us.

Abstract

The limitation of the operational area of the PWM signal generator provided by the microprocessor or chip, give the opportunity to develop flip flop technology that has been widely used in digital technology as a latch, counter, register, memory and so on, will  be able to be developed into a PWM driver. Flip flop technology has developed and is able to reach a very wide operational area regarding voltage and frequency variations. So in this research flip flop technology was developed as a PWM signal driver and the results were better, involving the ability to vary voltage from 6 to 60 Volts, frequencies from 2 to 81 kHz and duty cycles of 10 -75%. Furthermore, if a component with higher capability is selected, it will be able to operate in very low to very high operating areas, exceeding the capabilities of the microprocessor or chip.

Abstract

Facilities and services are needed reliable for the comfort of airplane passengers. One of the important facilities in airport services is the Public Address System (PAS). PAS is a notification system using sound electronically distributed with amplifiers, loudspeakers, and microphones. PAS functions to provide information from the airport and airlines to be conveyed widely to airplane passengers. In order to reduce the possibility of misinformation or delivery of unclear information from the operator, the author aims to create Semi Automatic Announcement System (AAS) website where someone no longer needs to speak directly but only needs to enter a notification sentence, then the system from the website will speak or also can be referred to as text to speech. The system is expected to reduce misinformation so that information can be clearly understood by passengers.
