Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar produktivitas kakao dan faktor-faktor apa saja yang berpengaruh terhadap produktivitas kakao di Kecamatan Pakue Tengah Kabupaten Kolaka Utara. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan sejak bulan November tahun 2023 sampai bulan Januari tahun 2024 di Kecamatan Pakue Tengah Kabupaten Kolaka Utara. Penentuan responden menggunakan metode Slovin. Alat analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linear beganda. Dari hasil penelitian nilai produktivitas kakao di Kecamatan Pakue Tengah Kabupaten Kolaka Utara sebesar 628,03 Kg/ha pertahunnya. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai koefisien determinasi (R2) sebesar 0,711, hal ini diartikan bahwa pengaruh variabel independen terhadap variabel dependen sebesar 71,1% yang diteliti oleh peneliti, sedangkan sisanya 28,9% dipengaruh oleh variabel lain diluar parameter penelitian. Hasil uji-F menunjukkan bahwa secara bersama-sama jumlah pohon berproduksi (X1), pupuk (X2), pestisida (X3) dan tenaga kerja (X4) berpengaruh secara nyata terhadap produktivitas kakao. Hasil uji-T menjelaskan bahwa secara parsial variabel independen (jumlah pohon berproduksi, pupuk, pestisida dan tenaga kerja) berpengaruh secara nyata terhadap variabel dependen (produktivitas).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh teknologi amofer terhadap kualitas fisik dan pH jerami padi organik dan anorganik. Menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) pola faktorial (2 faktor), yaitu faktor A: jenis jerami padi (organik dan anorganik) dan faktor B: jenis starter (kontrol, EM4, dan MOL), setiap perlakuan diulang 4 kali. Proses dimulai dengan pembuatan MOL (mikroorganisme lokal) dan dilanjutkan dengan pengolahan jerami padi menggunakan teknologi amofer. Parameter yang diamati meliputi aroma, tekstur, warna, jamur, dan pH. Uji Kualitas fisik dilakukan dengan skoring penilaian silase, sementara pH diukur menggunakan pH meter. Analisis statistik menggunakan uji ANOVA, dengan uji wilayah berganda Duncan untuk perbandingan lebih lanjut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interaksi antara jenis jerami padi (faktor A) dan jenis starter (faktor B) tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap aroma, tekstur, warna, jamur, dan pH (P>0,05). Faktor A menunjukkan pengaruh tidak signifikan terhadap semua parameter yang diamati. Namun, faktor B, terbukti memberikan peningkatan signifikan pada aroma, warna, tekstur, dan pH (P<0,01) dibandingkan jerami segar. Dengan demikian, kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penggunaan EM4 dan MOL sebagai starter pada proses amofer jerami padi, baik organik maupun anorganik, terbukti meningkatkan kualitas jerami padi secara fisik dan mampu menurunkan nilai pH dibandingkan dengan jerami segar. Abstract

Will every increase in farming scale decrease the cost per unit of output? Prices for inputs and outputs constantly fluctuate, affecting general livestock production and broiler farming. Consequently, raising livestock farming's efficiency and deciding on its size were in line with the demands of the local economic environment, leading to a rise in livestock revenue. In livestock farming, increasing the farming scale encourages the improvement of livestock infrastructure and the necessary time allocation for farming management. For Farmers, the insights from the findings of this study will provide direction for optimal resource allocation in business development. Furthermore, it helps enrich new insights into the relationship between income, labor time, and scale, especially livestock farming. This study aimed to describe the Interdependence of Income, Characteristics of Working Time, and Farming Scale on broiler farms. This study was conducted in 2023, involving 51 broiler farmers, with farm income, working time, and farm-scale variables as the primary focus. Data analysis was conducted descriptively. The findings indicate that enlarging the scale of broiler farming leads to higher revenue, although necessitating the enlargement of cage space, procurement of more equipment, and the recruitment of additional labor from external sources. The research discovered that expanding the scale of farming leads not only to increased income from broiler farming but also necessitates enlarging the housing area and acquiring additional broiler farming equipment. The available household labor is only adequate to meet the demands of small-scale broiler farming operations. Consequently, at larger scales, farmers rely more on external labor. As a result, the anticipated cost per unit output reduction in broiler farming due to scale expansion does not materialize, as the increased expenditure on additional labor for broiler farming offsets it.

Abstract

Unemployment is still a big problem in Indonesia is the problem of unemployment. High levels of unemployment can have a direct impact on various aspects of life, especially economic aspects. Therefore, the aim of this research was to determine the relationship the role of the agricultural sector and the unemployment rate between two decades after reformation order in Indonesia. The data source used was secondary data which obtained from the Southeast Sulawesi Central Statistics Agency of Indonesia. The research method used was a quantitative descriptive approach which is scatter plot pattern analysis techniques and bivariate correlation analysis with time series data for 1998-2020. The research results show the pattern of unemployment growth and agricultural economic growth from the scatter plot results, namely Y = -10,348x + 38,356, which means the trendline is negative with an R2 value of 0.5046 or 50.46%, which means the agricultural sector plays an important role in labor absorption. Furthermore, bivariate correlation results show a significance value between unemployment and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the agricultural sector of 0.0001 < 0.05 and a correlation index value of 0.710 with a negative sign. This value is smaller than the value of 0.5, which means that the agricultural sector plays a role in reducing unemployment in Indonesia. The results of a comparison of the role of the agricultural sector in unemployment between decades show that the agricultural sector is increasingly responsive to absorb labor and it potentially to reduce the unemployment rate in Indonesia.

Abstract

The Toengge Sejahtera Processing and Marketing Fisheries Group (Poklahsar) is a productive economic fisheries group engaged in the production/processing of dried fish to improve the welfare and development of group members' resources. The Toengge Sejahtera group members are mothers who process and partially market anchovy products. The methods used in the production process are still traditional. However, in carrying out their business activities, partners are constrained in developing their products. Some of the priority issues of partners include 3 areas, namely the production field, the business management field, and the marketing field. The solution to this priority problem is product diversification which can improve the quality and quantity of partner business products so that it has an impact on sales interest. PKM aims to help partners develop their products through the diversification of processed anchovy products. The methods used in this activity are FGD, socialization, training, and evaluation of activities. The results of Community Service activities are an increase in partner skills and knowledge in hygienic anchovy production, processing anchovies into anchovy sauce, packaging anchovy-based fishery products by standards and increasing digital marketing.

Abstract

Pertanian berkelanjutan menjadi salah satu solusi dalam menghadapi tantangan ketahanan pangan di daerah perdesaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pertanian berkelanjutan terhadap produktivitas, biaya produksi, pendapatan petani, dan diversifikasi tanaman sebagai faktor utama dalam ketahanan pangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan mixed-methods dengan metode survei, wawancara mendalam, observasi lapangan, dan studi dokumentasi. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 50 petani, 10 penyuluh pertanian, 5 pejabat pemerintah daerah, dan 20 rumah tangga perdesaan yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produktivitas petani berkelanjutan meningkat sebesar 40,6% dibandingkan dengan petani konvensional, sementara biaya produksi menurun sebesar 30,7% akibat penggunaan pupuk organik dan pestisida alami. Dari segi ekonomi, pendapatan petani yang menerapkan pertanian berkelanjutan meningkat sebesar 46,4%, yang menunjukkan bahwa sistem ini lebih menguntungkan dalam jangka panjang. Selain itu, petani berkelanjutan memiliki rata-rata 5 jenis tanaman dalam satu musim, dibandingkan dengan petani konvensional yang hanya menanam 2 jenis tanaman, sehingga meningkatkan ketahanan pangan dan mengurangi risiko gagal panen. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pertanian berkelanjutan tidak hanya meningkatkan kesejahteraan petani, tetapi juga memperkuat ketahanan pangan di daerah perdesaan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan dukungan kebijakan, edukasi, dan insentif untuk memperluas adopsi praktik ini. Dengan pendekatan yang lebih berkelanjutan, sektor pertanian dapat menjadi lebih resilien terhadap tantangan global, seperti perubahan iklim dan krisis pangan.

Abstract

Kelapa merupakan tanaman jenis palma, bernilai ekonomis cukup tinggi dengan berbagai macam produk turunan baik untuk kebutuhan pangan maupun kebutuhan industri non pangan. Kabupaten Kolaka merupakan wilayah yang memiliki potensi kelapa cukup besar dengan produksi mencapai 3.720 ton per tahun. Pemanfaatan sabut kelapa di Kolaka masih jauh dari harapan bahkan menyebabkan timbunan sabut kelapa diberbagai wilayah. Potensi pemanfaatan sabut kelapa dapat dibuat produk cocopeat yang bernilai ekonomis. Upayan mengedukasi masyarakat terkait pemanfaatan limbah sabut kelapa melalui kegiatan penyuluhan pembuatan cocopeat dengan bahan dasar sabut kelapa. Proses pembuatan sabut kelapa melalui enam tahapan meliputi Tahapan Persiapan Bahan dan Alat, Tahapan Perendaman, Tahapan Penguraian, Tahapan Penjemuran, Tahapan Pengayakan,  dan Tahapan Pengemasan.

Abstract

Introduction: Organic farming has emerged as a sustainable and environmentally friendly approach to food production. However, the adoption of organic farming practices in Indonesia remains slow. Progressive farmers have the potential to act as opinion leaders, accelerating the diffusion of innovations in organic rice farming. This study investigates the role of progressive farmers as opinion leaders in facilitating innovation diffusion for the development of organic paddy fields. Methods: A qualitative research design was employed, utilizing a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, non-participant observations, and document analysis involving 17 participants, including progressive farmers, conventional farmers, and agricultural extension agents engaged in organic rice farming development. Data were analyzed descriptively using the framework of social learning theory. Results: Findings indicate that opinion leaders play a pivotal role as initiators, pioneers, information disseminators, and role models in promoting organic rice farming innovations. Their actions and statements regarding innovations strongly influence farmers' decision-making processes. Conclusion: The study concludes that progressive farmers, as opinion leaders, effectively act as change agents and mentorship by introducing and fostering the adoption of organic farming practices. The shared socio-cultural background between opinion leaders and their communities facilitates intensive interpersonal communication, ensuring that messages are relevant, credible, memorable, and trustworthy, thereby accelerating innovation diffusion. Nevertheless, the study also highlights certain limitations faced by progressive farmers. Strengthening their communication skills and fostering collaborations with agricultural institutions, such as extension agents and organic farming communities, are essential to further expedite the diffusion of organic farming innovations.

Abstract

Beras organik disahkan oleh badan independen, dibudidayakan dengan standar pangan yang ramah lingkungan dan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini wajib dilaksanakan untuk memberikan solusi kepada produsen (petani) beras organik terkait metode pengemasan berbasis smart packaging yang paling tepat diterapkan sehingga volume penjualan beras organik dapat meningkat secara signifikan. Pengemasan beras organik wajib diperhatikan karena dengan kemasan yang baik dan sesuai standar akan menentukan kualitas produk. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui strategi pengemasan beras organik yang sesuai standar. Hasil penlitian ini yakni strategi pengemasan yang digunakan adalah pengemasan beras organik menggunakan metode vacuum sealer, pengemasan beras dengan vacuum sealer dapat meminimalisasi kerusakan beras akibat serangan hama selama penyimpanan, selain itu jumlah oksigen dalam kemasan dapat ditekan, serta dapat menghambat perkembangbiakan hama. Keunggulan pengemasan vakum sealer yaitu meningkatkan waktu simpan, mengurangi kerusakan produk, dan mempertahankan rasa pada produk.

Abstract

Fish-balls Processing businesses in Korumba Subdistrict, Kendari City, are generally home industry that are conducted to fill leisure time and in form household scale. This product can be enriched with Moringa leaves and chopped carrots, which are the source of vegetable protein and fiber. The target of community service is Dasawisma Kemuning which has 10 members. The objective of these community service efforts is to enhance the knowledge and abilities of Dasawisma Kemuning members in terms of (1) the production process of fish balls in healthy way and nutritious; (2) principles of making hygienic functional fish balls (3) business implementation of processed functional fish ball products that enriched with Moringa leaves and chopped carrots on a household scale; (4) the benefits of processed fish ball products as functional food that is cheap, healthy and nutritious. Derived from the entirety of training activities, not only in discussions, but also in demonstrations of making functional fish balls. The findings indicated that participants' understanding of the training content improved significantly, rising from an average score of 27.55% before the training to 98.25% in the final evaluation. Based on field implementation from the functional fish ball business shows that a raw material requirement of 2 kg/day, 295 fish balls were obtained. Based price per item of IDR 1100,- a profit/month of IDR is obtained. 3,135.00,-. Calculations of the financial aspects of functional fish balls have been resulting in a BEP value (product units sold) of 746. If in one month you can sell 746 fish balls, all costs incurred in a month are covered.
