Abstract

Semarang City is one of the areas in Central Java Province that has various potential superior regional products, one of which is soybean processing in Sumurrejo Village, Gunungpati District. The abundant potential for soybean processing has made Sumurrejo Village designated as a Thematic Soybean Processing Village (OKE Village). There are a total of 16 soybean processing producers divided into 8 tofu producers and 8 tempeh producers, including Berkah Hambida and UD Jaya Makmur which focus on tofu processing. The problems faced by the two producers include the production aspect, namely the lack of standardized and adequate infrastructure, the absence of Appropriate Technology (TTG) and the lack of hygiene in the production area. In addition, problems in terms of quality, marketing and the environment are also still very minimal. There is no standardized Wastewater Treatment Plant (IPAL) and the market segment is still limited to the local and regional scope. The purpose of community service is to overcome problems in terms of production and marketing. More specifically, these problems include aspects of production, quality, hygiene and environmental aspects. The service methods used are through socialization, training, technology application, mentoring and evaluation as well as program sustainability. The results of the service in the 1st year (2024) were to create and implement 1 unit of steam boiler machine, 1 set of food grade stainless steel boiling pans and optimization of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (IPAL).

Abstract

Processed fish in the form of soft bone milkfish is a superior product of the city of Semarang that needs attention because it involves many business actors and has an influence on regional economic growth. However, there are still many obstacles related to production and marketing aspects. This paper is limited to handling production aspects in two fish processing SMEs in Semarang City, namely CV New Citra and UD Putri Laut. The problem faced by the two SME partners is that the production equipment for pressure cooking milkfish has a small capacity so that productivity is less than optimal. Another problem is that the shelf life of existing products is not long enough. To overcome this problem, the implementation team carries out community service using several methods, including socialization, training and mentoring. After the two tools were successfully created, the implementation team provided training and assistance on how to operate the two tools until the partners mastered and were skilled. Currently these two tools have been used in the pressure cooker milkfish production process, and have been proven to be able to increase production capacity and quality. Based on field observations, pressure cookers are able to increase production capacity by up to 300 percent, saving fuel costs by 66.66 percent. The retort tool succeeded in increasing product shelf life by up to 1 year, and saved retort costs of IDR 600,000, per retort process.

Abstract

Business units such as cooperatives are currently experiencing growth along with developments in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. Today's era also requires business actors, including cooperatives, to continue to be able to transform digitally in various ways. The main problem currently being faced by cooperative actors is the low competence of Human Resources (HR) in mastering digital literacy skills related to effective and efficient management of production operations starting from production, accounting, marketing, management and so on. These problems must be addressed and dealt with appropriately, quickly and sustainably (sustainability). This digital literacy capability makes a major contribution in optimizing the competitive advantage and corporate performance of cooperatives, especially in today's digital era. Based on these problems, the purpose of this research is to study and optimize digital literacy in increasing competitive advantage and sustainable cooperative performance in the Koperasi Produsen Petani Indonesia (KPPI). The urgency of this research is that cooperative actors have literacy skills, business models and sustainable management patterns (sustainability) based on digital technology. The research methodology is a qualitative approach using interviews, observation, documentation, demonstrations and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) techniques. The research stages include introduction, implementation and evaluation.

Abstract

Tourism is a key economic sector in Indonesia, significantly contributing to foreign exchange and national revenue. Developing a sustainable tourism strategy requires collaboration across academia, businesses, communities, government, media, and NGOs. However, one major challenge in Indonesia’s tourism sector is the lack of synergistic, comprehensive, and integrated stakeholder collaboration. To address this issue, this study aims to develop a sustainable tourism strategy for Pati Regency based on the hexa helix model, which emphasizes multi-stakeholder engagement in tourism destinations. Using a mixed-methods approach, this research incorporates qualitative methods—such as interviews, observations, and documentation—and a quantitative analysis through MACTOR (Matrix of Alliance, Conflicts, Tactics, Objectives, Recommendations) to map stakeholder interactions. Findings reveal a high level of alignment between the Youth, Sports, and Tourism Office (DINPORAPAR) and SMEs, scoring 21.7 on the convergence scale. The primary focus for sustainable development is on enhancing innovation and competitive ability, identified as the most influential objective.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the strategy of optimizing the competitive advantage of MSMEs in Semarang City in the digital era (case study at CV New Citra). The role of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is very central and their contribution to the national economic sector is very high. The level of resilience of MSMEs is also high, especially during the monetary crisis at that time and continues to survive until now. However, the limitations are the lack of marketing strategies, especially in the digital era like today which is less adaptive, the level of competence of Human Resources (HR) is minimal, technology adaptation is still low, innovation and creativity are also not optimal. Therefore, the competitive advantage of an MSME is also not optimal. This research method is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques being interviews, observations and documentation. Data validity is based on source triangulation with the Miles Huberman technique, namely with data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that a growth mindset is very important in entrepreneurship. In the marketing mix analysis, it is also a special consideration in the operational business of CV New Citra. Not only about product quality but also price competition, business premises and distribution and promotional media used in optimizing consumer engagement. The concept of sustainable entrepreneurship as a sustainable business approach by optimizing the digital technology adaptation model is able to increase the effectiveness, efficiency, productivity and profitability of the business at CV New Citra.
