Abstract

Kepedulian masyarakat terhadap kebersihan dan kesehatan lingkungan masih rendah terutama kebersihan air sungai. Di daerah sekitar Kanal Victory banyak ditemukan sampah dan limbah rumah tangga yang dibuang langsung ke badan sungai. Jika hal ini tidak segera diatasi maka kualitas air sungai akan mengalami penurunan dan mengancam kelestarian ekosistem. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat di sekitar Kanal Victory pentingnya menjaga kebersihan air sungai. Metode yang digunakan yaitu ceramah dan diskusi dengan warga di sekitar sungai. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa masih rendahnya kepedulian warga terhadap pentingnya kebersihan air sungai. Di samping itu kurang kuatnya kesadaran warga terhadap rasa memiliki sungai sehingga hal ini menyebabkan warga tidak segan untuk membuang sampah, limbah maupun kotoran ke dalam badan sungai. Perlu adanya peningkatan peran serta dari warga sekitar dalam merawat dan menjaga sungai serta penegakan peraturan terkait sampah dari pemerintah setempat

Abstract

Plastic pollution is a critical global issue, with single-use plastic packaging contributing significantly to environmental degradation. This study examines the impact of Alner’s reusable packaging system in reducing household plastic waste and promoting sustainable consumption behaviors in Greater Jakarta. Using a mixed-methods approach, data was collected through a survey of 99 respondents and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with seven homemakers. Findings revealed that Alner’s system reduced household plastic waste by 138 units of single-use packaging per month and provided users with a 15% reduction in grocery expenses. Behavioral drivers, such as peer influence, convenience, and cost savings, played a pivotal role in encouraging the adoption of reusable systems, while deeper psychological motivations reinforced users’ commitment to sustainability. The study also identified opportunities for Alner to scale its impact by expanding product offerings, enhancing logistics, and leveraging community engagement. These findings underscore the potential of reusable packaging systems to address plastic pollution, foster economic and environmental benefits, and inspire a global shift toward circular consumption practices

Abstract

The Klagison River Watershed has an area of 1.997,6 ha and is experiencing rapid development in the physical field. The problem that often occurs in the Klagison watershed is that when there is heavy rain, several places close to the river will experience flooding, which is caused by several factors, one of which is the runoff coefficient. The aim of this study was to analyze the runoff coefficient of Klagison watershed. The method used to analyze the runoff coefficient is Cook's method, through the analysis of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) on several maps, such as maps of slope, vegetation cover, flow density, and soil infiltration. The results showed that the distribution of runoff coefficients that occurred in the Klagison watershed was dominated by the high class of 69,919% with an area of 13,967 km², the normal class of 21,500% with an area of 13,967 km², and the extreme class of 8,580% with an area of 1,714 km². Overall, the Klagison watershed is included in the high category with a runoff coefficient value of 62,603 %. This means that from 100% of the rain that falls, 62,603% will flow and 37,397% will infiltrate into the ground.

Abstract

The widespread use of single-use plastic packaging has become a significant environmental issue, particularly in the Global South. This study examines the innovative approach of the startup Alner, which employs a combination of electrochemical treatment and Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) technology in its wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) to manage wastewater generated from the cleaning of reusable packaging. Wastewater samples were collected before and after treatment, and analyzed for key parameters such as Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD5), Total Suspended Solids (TSS), oil and grease, ammonia, surfactants, and phosphates. The results demonstrated a significant reduction in all measured pollutants, with COD reduced by 99.58% and BOD5 by 99.56%. Post-treatment values for all parameters were well within the regulatory limits set by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry Regulation No. P68/MenLHK/Setjen/Kum.1/8/2016. This study underscores the potential of reuse models in reducing single-use plastic waste and highlights the importance of effective wastewater treatment in maintaining environmental sustainability. Alner's approach provides a scalable and environmentally friendly solution, setting a benchmark for similar initiatives in the industry, and supports the feasibility and sustainability of integrating advanced wastewater treatment technologies in the reusable packaging sector, offering a comprehensive solution to plastic pollution.

Abstract

Jalan Nasional Sorong – Makbon merupakan jalan nasional yang sering dilalui oleh kendaraan berat. Hal ini tentunya berdampak pada ruas jalan yang dilalui kendaraan berat dan mengakibatkan kerusakan pada struktur. Studi penanganan kerusakan jalan ini menggunakan metode International Roughness Index (IRI) dan Road Condition Index (RCI), metode penelitian ini dimulai dari pengumpulan Data primer dan Data sekunder. Dari hasil Penelitian didapatkan Kondisi jalan baik 0,2 km arah normal, 0,2 km arah opposite, kondisi jalan sedang 2,7 km arah normal, 2,2 km arah opposite, kondidi jalan rusak ringan 1,2 km arah normal, 1,9 km arah opposite, kodisi jalan rusak berat 1,6 km arah normal, 1,4 km arah opposite dari total panjang jalan 11,4 km dengan masing-masing panjang ruas jalan arah normal dan arah opposite adalah 5,7 km.. Berdasarkan hasil analisa yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bawa penangan yang dianjurkan untuk memperbaiki kerusakan jalan tersebut yaitu pemeliharaan berkala meliputi perbaikan, levelling, resealing maupun overlay (pelapisan ulang pada jalan beraspal) atau regrooving ( pengeluaran / pengkasaran permukaan ) maupun overlay pada jalan beton semen

Abstract

Sungai merupakan aliran terbuka dengan dimensi geometris, termasuk penampang, profil memanjang, dan kemiringan lembah, yang bervariasi dari waktu ke waktu tergantung pada laju aliran, material dasar, dan lereng curam. Setiap sungai memiliki ciri khasnya masing-masing dan masing-masing memiliki bentuk yang berbeda. Sungai yang menjadi salah satu sumber air tidak hanya sekedar menyimpan air, namun juga memungkinkan air mengalir dari hulu ke hilir. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh geometri sungai terhadap debit aliran DAS Klasaman Kota Sorong. Metode yang digunakan dalalm penelitian ini yaitu Metode primer (mengambil data disungai klasaman) dan sekunder (mengambil peta RBI dari citra satelit). Hasil Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) Klasaman memiliki karakteristik pola saluran sungai berkelok – kelok dan lebar penampang sungai dari hulu ke hilir semakin besar. Pada bagian hulu sungai Klasaman memiliki debit rata-rata sebesar 0.158 m3/detik, Pada bagian Tengah sungai Klasaman memiliki debit rata-rata sebesar 0.138 m3/detik, dan pada bagian hilir sungai Klasaman memiliki debit rata-rata sebesar 1.081 m3/detik. Luas penampang dan kemiringan sungai dapat mempengaruhi debit air sungai, Semakin besar luas penampang sungai maka debit semakin besar kecepatan semakin kecil dan semakin kecil luas penampang sungai maka debit makin kecil kecepatan makin besar.

Abstract

Klawoguk Watershed is one of the watersheds in the Sorong City area. The problem in the watershed is the absence of hydrological data or automatic water level recording (AWLR) data. The purpose of this study was to determine and compare the parameters of the Snyder synthetic unit hydrograph and the SCS synthetic unit hydrograph. The methods used in this study are the Snyder Synthetic Unit Hydrograph and the SCS Synthetic Unit Hydrograph. The results of the study showed that the parameters obtained from the analysis results of HSS Snyder were tp 3,267 hours, te 0,594 hours, Tp 3,767 hours, Qp 1,193 m3/sec, and the parameters obtained from the analysis results of HSS SCS were TL 3.992 hours, Tp 4.492 hours, Qp 1.389 m3/sec, so it can be seen that the peak discharge value of HSS Snyder is lower than the peak discharge of HSS SCS and the time required for the decrease in peak discharge of HSS Snyder is longer than that of HSS SCS.

Abstract

Watershed pollution is a serious problem that impacts public health and the environment. This activity aims to increase students' awareness of SMKN 1 Kota Sorong regarding the importance of maintaining river cleanliness and the impact of pollution on the ecosystem. The activity method consists of two stages of activities, namely the preparation and implementation stages, in which students are introduced to the concept of pollution and how to reduce it. The results of the activity show that the level of student awareness of the importance of environmental protection is still low, as indicated by the habit of littering into rivers. After the socialization, students' understanding of environmental pollution changed from 60% before the socialization to 80% after the socialization. Therefore, effective and participatory environmental education is essential to increase public awareness and involvement in maintaining water quality in watersheds for better survival.

Abstract

Sistem saluran drainase di perkotaan sangat penting untuk menjamin kenyamanan bagi manusia, sebab tidak sedikit pemukiman yang mengalami banjir karena sistem saluran drainase yang memadai. Kondisi infrastruktur jaringan saluran drainase di Kelurahan Klamasen khusunya Tugu Merah Jalan Tawes, sampai saat ini belum mampu mengatasi permasalahan banjir yang terjadi di setiap musim penghujan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa kondisi eksisting dan besar debit banjir rencana 2, 5 dan 10 tahun untuk saluran drainase Jalan Tawes Kelurahan Klamasen, dan mendesain kembali dimensi saluran yang mampu untuk menampung debit banjir rencana 2, 5 dan 10 tahun dengan metode Gumbel dan metode Rasional. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan desain saluran ekonomis untuk saluran  jalan Tawes kanan (b = 0,48 m, h = 0,65 m dan w 0,2 m), untuk saluran  Jalan Tawes kiri, (b = 0,5 m, h = 0,65 m dan w = 0,2 m) dan untuk saluran tawes A (b = 0,48 m, h = 0,65 m dan w = 0,19 m).    untuk saluran  Jalan Gabus (b = 0,61 m, h = 0,81 m dan w = 0,11 m). untuk saluran  Jalan Lumba-lumba (b = 0,80 m, h = 1,0 m dan w = 0,21 m).
