Abstract

Digital marketing is the application of digital technology to bring online sales (channels) to the market (websites, email, databases, digital TV, and other innovations such as blogs, feeds, podcasts, and social media) and contribute to the success of business operations. The purpose of this activity is to increase understanding among MSME actors, particularly Ananda Brownies Kukus-Batam, and the management of e-commerce websites for improving the marketing and sales of MSME products. The material will be presented in the form of a seminar. The seminar format will be used by the speaker to deliver the activity material, followed by discussions and simulations. The training activity provides benefits in improving the understanding of MSME actors about digital marketing and e-commerce website management. The digital marketing socialisation activity was conducted at Ananda Brownies Kukus, Batam, in the form of socialisation, creating an artificial intelligence chatbot-based e-commerce website for MSMEs, and training them in managing the website, to empower MSMEs to improve their marketing and sales.

Abstract

Empowering MSMEs is a strategic key in optimizing local economic. Challenge faced MSME in increasing competitiveness typically related to ineffective sales and marketing approaches, inadequate active customer service, and a lack of digital knowledge among MSME members. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a rapidly developing technology and is applied in various fields, including sales and marketing. This community service activity aims to understand the use of AI technology in collecting, analyzing, and utilizing customer data to generate information about customer behavior, sales and marketing, and potentially profitable market trends especially in MSMEs. The method includes preparation stages, surveys, development of an AI-based e-commerce platform, training in the implementation of the platform, and monitoring and evaluation of the overall implementation of the service. This activity was carried out to increase the insight of Cindur Batik MSME in optimizing product sales and marketing strategies to increase competitiveness and address global economic challenges. The result of this activity was the development of an AI-based e-commerce platform, which is used to increase marketing and sales at Cindur Batik MSME Batam. Based on this application, MSMEs partner have an understanding of the use of AI in creating image and video content for digital marketing.

Abstract

Purpose: The design of this flood telemetry control system aims to determine the water level in the drainage and provide warnings of potential flooding to the public with direct notifications to applications running on Android smartphones and to reduce the impact of flooding, a flood detection system tool was built using sensors that connected to a microcontroller that will detect the water level. Methodology: The design of this tool uses 3 (three) sources of information that are installed separately far apart, namely locations A, B, and C connected via the internet network and provide information in the form of monitoring, direct warnings to applications installed on Android Smart Phones. Result: The results of testing this tool work well. And can find out the water level when the rainy season arrives in the environment around the residence from a distance. This tool provides notifications with a delay of about ± 1000ms or 1 second at the smartphone internet access speed to the teleduino webserver or vice versa ± 142ms.

Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to measure the capability level of IT Governance at PT Sarana Citranusa Kabil (SCN) - Batam, and then provide recommendations related to IT processes that have not reached the target capability level. This research is expected to assist companies in realizing the level of IT Governance capability in accordance with the targets set by the company. Method: The data obtained directly from the respondents were obtained from the results of questionnaires, interviews and observations. The COBIT 2019 framework was developed to measure the level of process capability using the Process Assessment Model (PAM). Result: This research found that the Capability level of 40 IT processes for all domains in IT Governance at PT. SCN is currently at level 3.5 or the specified level. This means that IT Governance based on COBIT 2019 at PT. SCN has been standardized, documented, communicated and implemented. Conclusion: The results found that the level of IT Governance measurement capability of 40 IT processes for all domains in the SCN is currently at level 3.5 or the specified level. This means that IT Governance based on COBIT 2019 at SCN has been standardized, documented, communicated and implemented. Contribution: This research is expected to assist companies in realizing the level of IT governance capability in accordance with the targets set by the company.

Abstract

Employee work productivity at the sub-district level has a very important role in increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of public services. Increased productivity not only impacts short-term performance but also contributes to the development of organizational capacity in the long term. With more productive employees, government agencies can manage resources better and respond to community needs more quickly and effectively. The method used in this study is a quantitative method. Based on the above, a conclusion can be made in this study that Reward has a direct and significant effect on work productivity. Punishment has a direct and significant effect on work productivity. Career development does not have a significant effect on work productivity. Motivation has a direct and significant effect on work productivity. Reward does not have a significant effect on motivation. Punishment does not have a significant effect on motivation. Career development has a significant effect on motivation. Reward does not have a significant effect on work productivity through motivation. Punishment through motivation has no significant effect on work productivity, and career development through motivation has a significant effect on work productivity.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Kampung Tua Teluk Mata Ikan, Batam, dengan fokus pada peningkatan literasi teknologi melalui pemanfaatan kecerdasan buatan (Artificial Intelligence/AI) untuk mendukung pengembangan bisnis lokal dan produktivitas sehari-hari. Pelatihan ini dirancang untuk memberikan pemahaman konseptual dan keterampilan praktis kepada peserta, mencakup pengenalan teknologi AI, aplikasi AI dalam pemasaran digital, otomasi pekerjaan, pengelolaan data, serta strategi adaptasi teknologi untuk pengembangan usaha kecil dan menengah (UKM). Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi penyampaian materi, diskusi interaktif, dan praktik langsung menggunakan perangkat berbasis AI, sehingga peserta dapat langsung mengaplikasikan pengetahuan yang diperoleh. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta terkait penerapan AI, yang tercermin dari kemampuan mereka menggunakan AI untuk kebutuhan bisnis dan operasional harian. Selain memberikan manfaat langsung, kegiatan ini juga membuka peluang keberlanjutan berupa pembinaan dan pendampingan lanjutan untuk memperdalam pemanfaatan teknologi digital secara strategis. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini berkontribusi pada peningkatan kapasitas masyarakat lokal dalam menghadapi tantangan era digital sekaligus mendukung penguatan ekonomi berbasis teknologi di tingkat komunitas.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi dan pemahaman siswa SMKN 1 Tebing Tinggi Meranti terhadap pemanfaatan Artificial Intelligence (AI) sebagai bagian dari persiapan karir di era digital. Latar belakang kegiatan ini didasarkan pada rendahnya pemahaman konseptual siswa mengenai AI, keterbatasan pemanfaatannya secara produktif dalam konteks dunia kerja, serta minimnya kesadaran etika penggunaan teknologi. Metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) dengan menempatkan siswa sebagai subjek aktif melalui sosialisasi interaktif, diskusi kontekstual, dan demonstrasi penggunaan tools AI yang relevan dengan kompetensi keahlian. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner pra dan pasca kegiatan, observasi, serta umpan balik peserta, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep dasar AI, potensi pemanfaatannya untuk pengembangan karir, serta kesadaran etika dalam penggunaannya. Kegiatan ini berkontribusi dalam mempersiapkan siswa agar lebih adaptif, kompeten, dan siap menghadapi tantangan dunia kerja berbasis teknologi.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has driven the rapid growth of various startups in Indonesia, particularly in e-commerce. One sector experiencing significant growth is the online sale of electronic devices and gadgets. Consumers now prefer online transactions due to their perceived convenience, efficiency, and flexibility. However, amidst intense competition between e-commerce platforms, user experience has become a key factor in the success of an application or website. This study aims to identify user needs and preferences when interacting with the Gadget Store application, design a user interface prototype that applies User-Centered Design principles, and evaluate the level of usability and user satisfaction with the resulting interface design. The system development method used was User-Centered Design, while the problem analysis used SWOT and the feasibility study used TELOS. The UI design testing process used 10 Usability Heuristic indicators, with a test result of 87%. This proves that the digital startup designed meets user needs. The Gadget Store startup is expected to provide users with convenience in searching for iPhone information, including ease of transactions. Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to design a Geographic Information System (GIS)-based e-commerce application for Micro, Small, And Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) using the Unified Modeling Language (UML). The novelty of this study lies in the integration of UML modeling with GIS-based features to support spatial visualization in MSME e-commerce systems, which is limited in prior studies. Methodology/approach: This research adopts a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the waterfall model, which was selected because of its suitability for structured system design with clearly defined requirements. Results/Findings: The results demonstrate that UML modeling, including use case, activity, and class diagrams, successfully represents system functionality, user interactions, and data structures in a systematic and consistent manner. The completeness and consistency of the model were evaluated based on the alignment between system requirements and diagram representation. However, this study is limited to system design without full implementation and empirical testing. Conclusions: This study introduces a GIS-based e-commerce design for MSMEs using UML modelling, a novel approach in integrating spatial features. The UML models effectively represent system functions and data. However, the study is limited by the lack of implementation and testing. Future research should focus on full implementation and empirical validation. Limitations: This study has limitations in that comprehensive system implementation and testing have not been conducted. Contributions: This research contributes conceptually and methodologically by providing a structured UML-based design model for GIS-integrated MSME e-commerce systems that can be used as a reference for future development and implementation.
