Abstract

Melinjo (Gnetum gnemon L.) is a seed plant with great potential as a local food source in Banten; however, its utilization is still limited to emping and vegetables. This study aims to develop an innovation of melinjo processing into melinjo cookies as an effort to increase added value, expand product diversification. The method consisted of introducing the potential and benefits of melinjo, discussing business opportunities, demonstrating recipes and processing techniques, and hands-on practice by participants. The training involved 20 posyandu cadres through a participatory approach. The results showed that the community demonstrated high enthusiasm, indicated by their active involvement in producing cookies with original and cheese flavors. The products were considered suitable for consumption, had a distinctive taste, and showed promising potential for marketing with hygienic and attractive packaging. This training successfully enhanced community knowledge and skills, opened new entrepreneurial opportunities, and contributed to increasing income and preserving Banten’s culinary heritage through melinjo cookies innovation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan berhitung perkalian siswa kelas III di SDN Batan Indah. Sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan tersebut, diterapkan metode jarimatika yang dianggap efektif dalam membantu siswa memahami konsep perkalian secara konkret. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan jarimatika terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berhitung perkalian siswa. Penelitianmenggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 61 siswa, dengan 31 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen yang mendapatkan perlakuan berupa penggunaan jarimatika, dan 30 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol tanpa perlakuan. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes pretest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan berhitung perkalian siswa di kelas eksperimen dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Nilai rata-rata N-Gain pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,81, yang termasuk kategoritinggi. Dengan demikian, penggunaan jarimatika terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berhitung perkalian siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan literasi kesehatan peserta didik di Indonesia, tak terkecuali peserta didik Sekolah Dasar. Terlebih, literasi kesehatan merupakan kemampuan yang amat penting dimiliki oleh peserta didik guna menjaga kesehatan tubuh dan mampu agar dapat beraktivitas dengan optimal. Kemampuan literasi kesehatan dapat dimiliki melalui berbagai upaya, salah satunya melalui penyelenggaraan program sekolah. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran mengenai perencanaan, pelaksanaan, hasil, dan evaluasi dari penyelenggaraan program makan sehat di SDN Sukasari 5 dalam menanamkan literasi kesehatan peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian dengan melakukan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi kepada Kepala Sekolah, Guru PJ, Guru Kelas VB, dan Peserta Didik kelas VB di SDN Sukasari 5. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan program makan sehat di SDN Sukasari 5 dilakukan secara sistematis dengan membuat surat keputusan program dan menetapkan guru-guru PJ beserta menu-menu untuk kegiatan makan sehat. Selain itu, proses pelaksanaan program makan sehat dilaksanakan secara rutin setiap minggunya agar yang terdiri dari kegiatan makan sehat bersama dan pemberian edukasi literasi kesehatan kepada peserta didik mengenai informasi yang terkandung di dalam menu-menu makan sehat peserta didik. Di samping itu, penyelenggaraan program makan sehat ini memiliki dampak yang signifikan, terlebih terhadap kebiasaan konsumsi makanan peserta didik yang menjadi rutin dalam membawa dan mengonsumsi makanan sehat. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa pihak sekolah melakukan kegiatan evaluasi program secara berkala untuk mengetahui sejauh mana keberhasilan penyelenggaraan program makan sehat. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pembiasaan yang dilakukan oleh pihak sekolah penting dilakukan guna membantu kemampuan literasi kesehatan peserta didik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media Big Book berbasis metode global yang layak, praktis, dan efektif untuk mengatasi kesulitan membaca permulaan peserta didik kelas 2 sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas 2 SD Negeri 1 Pamanukan. Teknik analisis data meliputi observasi, wawancara, angket validasi ahli, angket respons guru dan peserta didik, serta tes membaca permulaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media Big Book berbasis metode global memperoleh persentase kelayakan sebesar 89% dari ahli media, 90% dari ahli bahasa, dan 100% dari ahli materi dengan kategori sangat layak. Hasil respons guru menunjukkan persentase kepraktisan sebesar 100% dengan kategori sangat praktis, sedangkan respons peserta didik memperoleh persentase sebesar 92,4% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Hasil uji efektivitas menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan membaca permulaan peserta didik, ditunjukkan oleh nilai rata-rata pretest sebesar 56,0 meningkat menjadi 81,0 pada posttest dengan nilai N-gain sebesar 0,57 yang berada pada kategori sedang. Dengan demikian, media Big Book berbasis metode global dinyatakan layak, praktis, dan efektif untuk mengatasi kesulitan membaca permulaan peserta didik kelas 2 sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Some fourth-grade elementary school students have significant difficulty in understanding the concept of fractions, including distinguishing between numerators and denominators. The limitations of innovative learning media and minimal school facilities, combined with monotonous teaching methods, result in low interest and mathematics learning outcomes. This study aims to identify the development process of puzzle media for fractions, determine the feasibility of the developed puzzle media and analyze students responses after using puzzle media in fractional learning. This research uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach with ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The results of the study showed that puzzle media was effective in improving students understanding of fraction concepts and learning interests and puzzle larning media proved to be an effective solution to overcome difficulties in understanding fractional concepts for fourth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the planning and implementation of local content learning in Banten Javanese language in fostering nationalism character among fifth-grade students at SDN Cipocok Jaya 2, as well as the outcomes of the learning process. The research employed a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, involving fifth-grade students as the subjects. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis followed Miles and Huberman’s model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that: (1) teachers’ lesson planning in fostering nationalism character was carried out by designing teaching plans and determining strategies to instill such values; (2) the implementation required teachers to organize active student participation, integrate Banten Javanese language materials with nationalism values, utilize learning resources and media, and demonstrate strong subject mastery; and (3) nationalism character values were successfully instilled and sufficiently demonstrated by the students. In conclusion, the integration of local content learning with character education effectively supports the development of nationalism among elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a Smart Box learning media for Indonesian language learning, specifically on procedural text material for fifth-grade students at SD Negeri Simangu, in order to improve students’ interest and reading comprehension. The research used a development study with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The trial subjects were fifth-grade students at SD Negeri Simangu. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, validation sheets, questionnaires, and tests. The results of expert validation showed that the media received a score of 97% from media experts, categorized as “very valid,” and 100% from material experts, also categorized as “very valid.” Student response questionnaires during the trial obtained a score of 1878, categorized as “very good.” In conclusion, the Smart Box learning media is considered highly valid, practical, and suitable for use in the learning process.

Abstract

Dysgraphia is a type of learning disorder that affects children’s writing abilities. Difficulties in writing can impact students’ psychological well-being, hinder their academic achievement, and interfere with their social skills. For children with dysgraphia who experience writing difficulties, verbal communication can be used as a means to express messages, opinions, and ideas. In addition, nonverbal communication can also be utilized when verbal communication skills are still limited. This study aimed to examine teachers’ lesson planning, the implementation and outcomes of two-way communication patterns among slow learners with dysgraphia during the learning process, as well as to identify the challenges and obstacles in such communication. The research employed a qualitative case study method. The subject of the study was a child with dysgraphia. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model. The findings showed that children with dysgraphia more frequently used nonverbal communication with teachers and classmates, such as clapping and nodding. However, they also used verbal communication, although their speech was not very loud.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the implementation and describe teachers’ strategies in developing students’ communication and collaboration skills through the traditional game *gobak sodor*. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicated that the teacher’s planning was well-structured and aligned with students’ needs. The implementation of the *gobak sodor* game was effective in enhancing students’ communication and collaboration skills. Furthermore, the strategies applied by the teacher were proven to be effective in fostering these skills during the learning process. In conclusion, the integration of traditional games such as *gobak sodor* can serve as an effective approach to develop students’ communication and collaboration skills in elementary education.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop podcast-based audio learning media to improve fifth-grade students’ listening skills on figurative language (majas) in elementary school. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model. Previous studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of podcasts in enhancing listening skills, including an increase in average scores from 67.2 to 92 after the use of podcast-based learning, as well as findings that Google Podcasts facilitate better understanding of Indonesian language materials. The subjects of this study were 32 fifth-grade students at SD Negeri Cikande 1. Data were collected through interviews, observations, expert validation questionnaires, response questionnaires, and evaluation tests. The validation results indicated that the developed media was highly feasible, with scores of 95% from material experts, 95% from language experts, and 92% from media experts. Student responses reached 95.98%, and teacher responses reached 100%, both categorized as “very feasible.” In conclusion, podcast-based audio media is highly feasible and effective for improving students’ listening skills in Indonesian language learning at the elementary level.
