Abstract

The descriptive method was used in this study involving 49 badminton athletes at clubs in the city of Bandung, with the age range of participants between 10-13 years. The instrument used in this study uses the Life Skills Scale for Sport (LSSS) instrument model developed by Cronin & Ellen which measures eight dimensions of life skills with 47 rating scale items. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics and regression using SPSS software version 29.0. The results of the analysis show that the level of athlete's life skills is in two categories, namely medium and high. Whereas in the regression analysis there is influence because it has a p value of 0.001, it also has a correlation/relationship between the eight dimensions and the overall total. This shows that these eight dimensions have an influence and relationship with the total. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the level of life skills that exist in athletes in the Bandung City environment are in two categories, namely medium and high, with the highest average being in the dimensions of social skills, 2) there is influence and also a high significant correlation/relationship in total with eight dimensions of life skills. Abstract

The aim is to test the effect of instructional self-talk learning strategies on basic defensive clear and long service skills. The research was carried out using the experimental method on 32 Pinggir Sari 1 elementary school students consisting of 16 experimental group students and 16 control group students, which was carried out using a technique (random sampling). The results of the calculation of the independent samples t-test data for the experimental group and the defensive clear control group use the assumption of equal variances, which is seen from the average value of the experimental group, which is higher than the control group, namely (20.93 > 7.31) and the results of the test calculations independent samples t-test data for the experimental group and the extended service control group using the assumption of equal variances not assumed which is seen from the average value of the experimental group which is higher than the control group, namely (18.50 > 7.93). Conclusion: The instructional self-talk learning strategy significantly influences overall learning outcomes for basic skills. Keywords: Defensive precise, Instructional self-talk, Long service

This study involved 42 students (22 male students, 20 female students) of three elementary schools in Bandung City. Participants were selected using purposive sampling with the following inclusive criteria (1) aged 10-12 years and (2) following badminton extracurricular activities. The instrument used in this research was an instrument model for assessing badminton skills measuring two basic skills, namely high serve and clear lob skills. Obtained data were analyzed using descriptive statistics analysis and correlational test using SPSS software version 29.0. The results of the analysis showed that the student skills were divided into two categories, namely good and very good categories. Meanwhile, the correlational analysis showed that there was a correlation between high service and clear lob skills with a correlation coefficient of 0.62 and a p_value of 0.001. It indicates that the high service and clear lob basic skills have an impact on each other in game conditions and are interrelated in basic skills. Furthermore, based on the findings, the high service and clear lob basic skills in badminton of elementary school students taking part in badminton extracurricular were generally categorized as good and very good, since high service and clear lob skills are the skills that can be used as parameters of basic and primary skills to be mastered by students.
