Abstract

This study aims to (1) analyze the supervision of school principals based on local wisdom to improve teacher performance planning in elementary school; (2) knowing the supervision of school principals based on local wisdom in improving teacher performance in elementary school; (3) analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors of local wisdom-based principal supervision in improving teacher performance in elementary school. The research method used is field research using a multi-site design where the subjects studied have similar backgrounds and institutions with interview, observation, and documentation techniques. This research was carried out at State Elementary School 7 Simpang Keuramat and SD Negeri 11 Kutamakmur. The result of this study is that the implementation of supervision is carried out through three stages, namely supervision planning, supervision implementation and supervision evaluation. The supervision approach used is direct and indirect. The techniques used are two techniques, namely individual techniques which include class visits, class observations, personal meetings, and self-assessment; and group techniques including teacher meetings, discussions, seminars, workshops, and position organizations; has not implemented exchanges, libraries of experiential positions between teachers, panel discussions, and symposiums

Abstract

This research aims to describe teachers' understanding of Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT), difficulties to implement it, and its relation to higher order thinking skills through descriptive qualitative method using interview instrument. The research subjects were twenty science teachers from three senior high schools that have implemented Independent Learning Curriculum in Medan City and Deli Serdang Regency in North Sumatera. The results revealed that 70% of teachers have limited understanding and only 30% of the teachers who understand the concept of this learning correctly. The research results also showed that only 20% had ever implemented CRT in their classrooms and 80% had never implemented. This is all due to difficulties. Based on previous research, it shows that CRT make many positive contributions to learning processes and outcomes, improving the learning process and outcomes, improving higher order thinking skills and building student’s character. Therefore, teachers need to understand, be able to design and implement learning model based on CRT to serve diverse students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji peran strategis pendidikan Islam dalam mewujudkan visi Indonesia Emas 2045 melalui pengembangan sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas dan berkarakter. Menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan dengan analisis kualitatif terhadap literatur akademik terkini, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi transformasi paradigma pendidikan Islam, kontribusi pesantren dalam pembentukan karakter, peran generasi muda Muslim, integrasi kurikulum dengan kompetensi abad 21, dan strategi optimalisasi pendidikan Islam. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan Islam memiliki keunggulan komparatif dalam mengintegrasikan pengembangan intelektual, spiritual, dan moral dalam satu kesatuan yang harmonis. Pesantren terbukti efektif dalam membentuk karakter generasi muda melalui sistem pendidikan holistik yang mengombinasikan pembelajaran formal dengan pembinaan karakter berkelanjutan. Generasi muda Muslim berperan sebagai agen transformasi yang mampu mengadaptasi nilai-nilai Islam dengan konteks modernitas. Integrasi kurikulum pendidikan Islam dengan kompetensi abad 21 menciptakan model pembelajaran yang responsif terhadap kebutuhan global sambil mempertahankan identitas keislaman. Strategi optimalisasi melalui reformasi kebijakan, peningkatan kualitas tenaga pendidik, dan kemitraan strategis lintas sektoral menjadi kunci keberhasilan dalam memaksimalkan kontribusi pendidikan Islam untuk merealisasikan Indonesia Emas 2045.

Abstract

This study focuses on the development of a physics problem-solving skills test instrument on dynamic fluid material for grade XI high school students. The purpose of this study is to determine how to develop a problem-solving-based test instrument on dynamic fluid material and to determine the feasibility of a problem-solving-based test instrument on dynamic fluid material. The type of research used in this study is R & D (Research and Development) development research using the ADDIE research model which has a research design through four stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The trial sample in this study was 29 grade XI students of Taruna PBD Medan High School with the assumption that the entire class is homogeneous. The research instrument used is a problem-solving skills test consisting of 7 questions in the form of essays. The trial results were obtained from the problem-solving ability test instrument in the validation test conducted by 3 validators who had a very high value category which was included in the category of suitable for use with revision. Analysis of the problem-solving ability instrument administered to 29 students, with the results obtained in the validity and reliability trials, showed that all test instruments were valid and reliable. In the trial, the difficulty level of five questions was classified as moderate, one was classified as easy, and one was classified as difficult. Furthermore, in the discrimination test, the seventh question was categorized as excellent. Thus, the developed test instrument was suitable for use with five questions. So it can be concluded that the development of instruments based on students' problem-solving abilities is suitable for measuring students' thinking abilities. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of transformational leadership by three generations of leaders in the Human Resources (HR) Bureau of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). Participants included three former and current Bureau Heads (2015-2016, 2020-2024, and 2024-2028) with diverse educational backgrounds and extensive experience in educational administration and human resource management. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews using a validated protocol of 20 open-ended questions based on Bass & Riggio's transformational leadership dimensions, along with document studies of policy documents, performance reports, and bureau meeting archives. Through a qualitative approach and ATLAS.ti software-assisted data analysis, this study identifies how transformational leadership strategies improve employee performance, work motivation, organizational innovation, and build a value and technology-based work culture. The main findings show that leaders can formulate a clear vision, provide individualized support, build an open communication system, and utilize technology to strengthen work effectiveness. Visualization of the code shows a close relationship between aspects such as employee empowerment, strengthening collaboration, career development, and the use of digital-based performance reporting systems. This research recommends the need for a structured competency development system, data-based performance measurement, and strengthening cross-team communication to sustainably improve transformational leadership effectiveness in a changing work environment.

Abstract

The development of mobile-based Islamic learning applications has become a solution to support independent study at Dayah Aqil Al-Farisi, especially for santri and community members who are often unable to attend in-person study sessions due to daily activities. This application, built using the Flutter framework and Laravel as the backend, provides digital access to classical Islamic texts (kitab), prayers, Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh), and the biography of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. The system utilizes an API architecture to enable seamless communication between the mobile app and the server, allowing users to access study materials anytime and anywhere via smartphones. The design and implementation process include requirement analysis, system modeling with Data Flow Diagrams (DFD), UI/UX design, and integration with a MySQL database. The application also features an admin panel for managing content such as kitab, news, prayers, and Fiqh materials. The result is a user-friendly platform that facilitates self-paced learning and helps preserve traditional Islamic education in a modern digital format. This study concludes that the mobile application effectively addresses attendance issues and enhances accessibility to Islamic teachings.
